Funny you mention a free screw jangling around inside the shell.. only flaw with my nexus, more of a q.a. over sight, but when I opened it do to a small rattle I found an extra trigger spring.. as everything internally on my NP was perfectly fine otherwise I havent the slightest how it ended up sealed in there
I have been trying for more than 2 years to make a Mega Stryfe by hand. I am so glad Nerf finally made this. Luke I need help figuring out how to best mod this. 2S works great so far, but I agree 3S might be even better.
Definitely a fun blaster if you like mega, but a Buzz Bee Boss/Tyrant or Mega Caliburn running tyrant mags will probably still be more effective for a "Grenadier" that uses mega as a primary. The Motostryke could excel as secondary for spraying down shields or special zombies, but would force you to carry a lot of gear or run a light primary.
If I manage to find one in Canada, I might convert it to shoot half-length mega darts. I dunno if it’s been done before but seeing as half darts work better normally, I bet that it would be the same with mega. Great video as always!
Someone like last year, designed 3D printable mags... I really need to go track him down and see about doing something with that or getting a cutter board to speed up cutting them down as I've been meaning to make a half length Magnus so I can carry it more easily and get better performance.

For me the rapidstrike was the best electric nerf becsuse it will accelerate when you pull the trigger and range are consistant vs any other electric nerf who loses range if youfire too fast

Just finished doing the basic mods based on Dr Flux's video. Now I'm really biting at the bit to get some 3D printed love for this blaster; it could be so much better with some tweaks like you said in your video; rev trigger, mag release, new cage, etc. Would / will be epic!

It depends on how much you like Mega or if your Nerf group has special rules involving Mega. Alternatively, you can always wait for a sale (Christmas is coming), a clearance sale or even buy it second hand.
Kinda cool but I wouldn't full auto it. You already said how big the magazine is and you can't see lugging a full stack of mega mags around on your person. In full auto youre going to be out of ammunition before you can say uh oh. Im very new to the hobby so I don't know if there are any performance benefits from Mega vs regular. Being bigger and heavier of a projectile, usually the further it can go but I don't know if that's true in foam flinging. If true , I would red dot it and use it as a dedicated marksman rifle. You can get 10 shots off before having to reload and they can't reach you unless they too have a Mega.
Typically, the use case for Mega is dependent on club rules. Most frequently, when people run Mega, it functions to counter people who are allowed to play with shields, or in HvZ games, Special zombie types who can only be tagged out with projectiles that aren't half-inch diameter darts (full length or otherwise), Rival rounds, or BoomCo darts.

The spring in the magazine seems weak. I'm having inconsistent feeding issues. The magazine for the Air warriors air max tyrant feeds much better.

his stryfe mods to transport to singapore which is where i live is $114 and im getting the reccommended 2s stryfe mod which is around $89
We are certainly looking forward to extended mag release because after our rewire that’s got to go!
We should try half length mega darts, just to see if we can improve performance and decrease size.
