We have stepped back from Christmas the past few years. After learning the origins/meanings behind tree/lights/stockings, etc. We just personally felt convicted. We also don't believe in telling our kids its Jesus birthday, because its not. We tell them most scholars believe it was in the fall, but no one knows for sure. We get alot of backlash from believers because we don't celebrate christmas. I agree it becomes all about the gifts for kids. So we do a blessings day in December where each kid gets a few small gifts. (Blessing them because we have been blessed.) No decorations. Just a family day with food and games. I loved this video. Thank you for sharing.
Yeshua was born during the Jewish festival of Sukkot. Every year, all of the Jews from several countries around, would go into Bethlehem for Sukkot. That's why they're was no room at the inns for Mary and Joseph. Bethlehem was packed. Also, they were doing the tax thing, but it was Sukkot as well. The origin of Christmas really convicted me as well. This is our first year not celebrating it. I feel strongly that the church was infiltrated by evil very early on. Satan is the master of lies and most Christian churches celebrating Easter, Christmas, and even a lot of them do Halloween, is proof of his success with tricking people out of Yaweh's ways and His beautiful feasts.
I have heard that a lot in regard to Sukkot. It's always an interesting thought to me. I honestly, don't really know, I just assume, since his birthday was not mentioned in scriptures, it's not something we need to celebrate on a specific day. However, with that being said, I want to celebrate His "birth" every day and thank Him for everything He did and does and will do. In regard to the church being infiltrated early on, we are coming up to Constitine in our History studies. I am really looking forward to learning as much as I can. Human nature is very corrupt.
@@LivingWithEve I believe since the angels proclaimed and announced His birth, this points to Yom Teruah, Feast of Trumpets. Also, the verse, "and the WORD became flesh and TABERNACLED AMONG us," is the Feast of Sukkot, which literally means Tabernacles or tents. Because Jesus put on a fleshly body, or as Paul calls it a TENT in 2 Corinthians 5:1-4.
@@LightSeekers777 I personally feel more inclined to accept he was born in March. The month of Nissan which signifies new beginnings and so forth. It's beautifully explained by johnathan cahn why the month of Nissan instead of during the fall feasts.
@@aliz0081 That could be. We should definitely be focused on the Feasts of God and how they all point to Jesus. Not keeping traditions of men like Christmas and Easter.
Don’t feel pressured to do Christmas. It’s insane how half of my family is secular but guilts you if you don’t get your Christmas shopping down. Has nothing to do with Christ or “self-lessness” anymore. It’s for show.
translation of the video: we believe in the trinity wich consist of god being 3 yet on. yet the son talk to his father but still is one ! at least the hindu got a logical trimurti but we are christians ! god must impregnante a woman so a second god is born out of her (disgusting) and this second god will be dead on a cross ! so that we are saved if we acknolwedge by the writings of other men that if he died. if was for us ! it like saying "emo jesus cutted his veins for us. you should thank emo jesus who cuted his veins for you. otherwise his father would have throw all humans in hell... that how jesus logic's retarded is. if you do pagan heathen traditions ! you will open yourself to other gods and you won't worship our demon lord jesus anymore !!
We're Torah observant as well, and this is our third year celebrating Hanukkah. I am so, so happy to hear from others that believe and practice the way we do, so thank you for sharing your life on here ❤️

I am so glad I found your videos, we are a homeschooling family and this is our first year not celebrating Christmas and celebrating Chanukkah and the high holidays. We have been celebrating Passover for years and are so excited to celebrate all the high holidays!
A Messianic youtuber?! 😍😍. Im a messianic Jew myself and am so excited to finally find a channel with the same beleifs as me. I personally dont celebrate christmas but grew up celebrating it. I dont think its wrong to do so but most people have no knowledge of where the traditions come from...or why they personally do it. My biggest pet peeve with the the arguement in favor of it is most people wouldnt take the time to celebrate his birth on any other day of the year or even follow feasts that ARE commanded yet fight to hold onto christmas with the excuss that they want to celebrate Messiah. Anyways so glad to discover your channel!
I appreciate this video. I also don't do traditional Christmas. No tree, no Santa. I do put up lights. They stay up all year! I also do presents. We have a number of biblical reasons why. Most importantly, it has very little to do with Jesus. Why do we do what we do do? In a society where they are surrounded by the leaven of worldliness, we try to refocus on the gift of Christ and away from the commercialism and selfishness. We do the same with Easter (no Bunnies or eggs, birthdays (simple parties and discussions about the gift of life) and any other situations or topics that are generally counter to our walk with God. Our children live in the world. The only way we have found to assist them in their navigation of it is to show them how to live in it but not of it.
Thanks for sharing. We don’t celebrate Christmas either. It is a pagan holiday. I grew up in a Christian family and we never celebrated any holiday. No tree, gifts, lights, dinner. Sometimes it felt like we were alone since most people do celebrate it and exchange gifts during this time and we did not. As I’ve grown older I’ve come to kinda hate holidays. It feels like a stressful time of year and people are too much about consuming materialistic things they do not need. I also think about how people are struggling with finances but feel like they have to get everyone gifts because “its just what you do during the holidays” and if you don’t you feel crappy about it. In a way I’m grateful we did not ever celebrate it because now I don’t feel obligated to do all that. I also hate telling people my family doesn’t celebrate holidays because most people are shocked like its not normal to not celebrate holidays. We need to normalize not celebrating holidays because everyone has their reasons.

We don't do Santa or anything that would be lying to our children. No decorating. We go to Christmas family stuff because, like you said, some things are expected. We are still newish to celebrating the Biblical feasts, so I can't wait to invite family to those celebrations next year. Love your content.
We don't do Santa either, or Easter Bunny or the tooth fairy, although we DO celebrate Christmas. I wish more Christians would think about these things instead of just going along with our culture's expectations.
I stopped celebrating it officially 30yrs ago. After dedicating my life to living for and by truth. As well as logic and reason. I went head on knowing it wouldn't be easy and normal isn't always sane. Many have issues with me about this, but they are never prepared for a series of questions they never saw coming and were never prepared for. Personally I'm stunned it ever caught on.
First of all love this video! It’s so nice to see someone who shows growth in their faith and stands for convictions. We are celebrating Christmas but we don’t do Santa, we don’t have a tree (I actually set up a large nativity inside with blue fabric and white twinkle lights for the night sky, mostly for my 4 year old son). We’ll be exchanging some gifts but I already see my son is putting all the focus on presents so I may be making some changes or distinctions in the future. I also hesitate about celebrating Christmas because of some of the pagan roots to the time frame so I’m doing my best to say we are celebrating the fact that Jesus was born rather than his “birthday”. Btw I teach dance and so it’s really neat to hear that you used to take ballet.
Cool, thanks for sharing. Oh I loved dancing. I took it very seriously, if it wasn't for my knees, I wanted to go and study it in New York. I was thankful I did some work and studying with the local companies in my area. I also worked at Disney in entertainment. When I get a chance to dance, I still do it. I do miss the hard work and determination sometimes.
I lived with a family for 4 year (as a Live-in nanny) who were Jewish and there was no Christmas at all in their home each December, but of course Hanukah was celebrated. It was so interesting learning more about the traditions of the Jewish faith!
We do celebrate Christmas, but since becoming a mom I have been convicted to definitely focus more on Jesus. Our daughter is 4. We do watch things with Santa, but we do not tell her Santa brings gifts or that she has to be good or she will be on Santa's naughty list. What I have realized is that sometimes as we grow our convictions may change. One of my very best friends is Messianic as well and I adore listening to her reasons and outlooks on things.
My husband and I stopped celebrating c-mas the year before we welcomed our first child into this world. No regrets. Hard when dealing with family, and unfortunately we ended up losing touch with.. 90% of them starting with this huge step. Very interested in Hanukkah and have been for a few years. Mainly because I do feel bad about how my children might start feeling left out from the world.. but I still want things to be God loving and worshipping.
A little bit of leaven, leavens the whole loaf. The true history of xmas, where it came from (paganism) is why we don't celebrate it. I understand your thoughts behind it. (But again, just a little leaven is all it takes) Blessings and love to all! I pray we all seek the narrow path! 🙏 Jeremiah 10 Deuteronmoy 12 & 18
Thank you for this video, Ilani (Living with Eve). I've been attending a Messianic Jewish/Christian church for over a year. It's nice to hear from a fellow Messianic believer about how you personally handle Christmas. I actually started attending my Messianic church because I was looking for fellowship with other believer's who also celebrated the Biblical Feast Days. I agree with you: that our annual religious holiday celebrations should be focused on our Lord's appointed times, so, for several years, I've been participating more and more in the holidays that our Father in Heaven gave us, and I've been transitioning more and more away from the traditional Protestant Christian holidays that were carried over from the compromising syncretism between the early Catholic church and the Roman Empire. I used to own many pretty statues of Saint Nicholas/Santa Claus, but when it became clear that God considers these things idolatry, I threw them, and everything associated with this god-mimicking magical elf and mythical saint, away. I also believe that Yeshua (Jesus) was born during the holiday that God actually did command us to celebrate with rejoicing (Lev. 23:40-41), the holiday that he entitled: The Feast of Stables. We have to try really hard not to get the connection between a holiday that God calls "Stables" and the implication that this is when Yeshua was born and placed in a manger. Sukkot means stables (sukkah is singular): Most Bibles translate the holiday name as "Tabernacles" or "Booths", but in Genesis 33:17, it is apparent that these sukkot (shelters) are stables: "Jacob went to Sukkoth, where he built a place for himself and made shelters for his livestock. That is why the place is called Sukkoth." Besides the name of the place being called "Sukkoth", the Hebrew word that's translated as "shelters" is sukkot. A booth shelter for an animal could also be described as a stable. I've learned that when God tells me to do something, it's always a benefit for me to obey. So, I started celebrating The Feast of Stables, according to the parts of God's instructions that are currently applicable under the New Covenant, and found in Leviticus 23; building a sukkah (life-sized stable) and camping out in it all week. However, I usually don't sleep outside. We also take family field trips that include nature walks in honor of the long walk from Nazareth to Bethlehem, and to sites that have something to do with water and light, since Yeshua announced loudly that he was the living water and the light of the world during the Feast of Stables (Gospel of John 7:37-38 and John 8:12). Now, to celebrate Christ's birth, many Christians put up Nativity Scenes, but instead of camping out with the Lord, they put plastic figurines in their place. Of course, it is too cold to camp outside in December, both in America and in Bethlehem/Jerusalem. God has no appointed times in the winter. Initially, as part of my transitioning away from celebrating Christmas, I adjusted my indoor Nativity Scene to include Luke 1; the story of when Mary heard from the angel that she had been chosen to bear the Christ child, and she became pregnant and the Word became flesh in her virgin womb. I added this, because I figured, if Jesus was born in September, he would have been conceived in December. Then, I also converted my Nativity stable to include fall leaves and grapes dangling from vines. However, since I've started celebrating all 7 of God's appointed times, I no longer feel the need to invent another religious holiday or to continue to celebrate Christmas as if it were one of God's appointed times, so I no longer put up a Nativity scene in December at all. Because the words of Jesus keep echoing in my conscious: "Why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?" (Mat. 15:3), I keep evaluating my traditions in light of keeping God's commands, and adjusting my traditions according to what I believe would be pleasing to Him, based on his written word and not based on my whims. To make the transition easier for my young adult children, we still have a family celebration in December. I decorate my home with a winter theme that includes snowmen and woodland scenes. We do have a 5' decorated pine tree, but we do not put gifts under the tree. I feel like putting gifts under it is too symbolic of treating the tree as if it were a shrine to a false god, especially when the wrapping paper that my kids bring unfortunately might have images of Santa Claus on it. I also do not put images of our Lord, or his mother, on the tree in the form of ornaments. I feel that this is too symbolic of an Asherah pole, which is an alter to a tree goddess, known as the Queen of Heaven, that God commands his people to tear down over and over again. Our winter tree has snowflakes, icicles and birds on it. I feel that I can safely regard it as a winter decoration, with no more of a religious or idolatrous connotation than a pot of flowers would have in the spring. We put our gifts for our family gift exchange on a table with a pretty table cloth, similar to a gift table that you might see at a baby shower or a wedding. Instead of putting little gifts in stockings, I put them in tin buckets with cotton 'snowballs' on top, that we also have fun tossing at each other, because who doesn't enjoy an indoor snowball fight? I do not have any decorations with the word "Christmas", and I try not to even say that word, because I believe that it takes the name of the Lord in vain. Our Lord did not name any of his appointed festivals with his title, so I feel like using his title/name for a false religious holiday is not in keeping with his ways, and is being too careless with his name. Over the years my extended family has made an effort to be understanding about my aversion to the image of Santa Claus, and, for the most part, has either come to agree with me or has substantially reduced these images from their decor when they will be hosting our extended family get-together out of consideration for my sensitivity, but last year, this consideration was dismissed. It is not for me to dictate how my family decorates or dresses, so this year, I will probably just decline the invitation, because I do not want to participate in behaviors that I am convinced are giving honor to idols and false gods. I've already let them know, a month in advance, that I am transitioning away from celebrating this holiday, so I may decide not to attend. I will catch up with my extended family during other family occasions and holidays such as Thanksgiving, Independence Day (July 4th), and Resurrection Day. It's difficult to break from long-held traditions, but we also need to remember Yeshuah's words: "If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else-your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26. Obviously, this doesn't conflict with his command that we should "love one another as ourselves", but rather that, in the process of loving them, we don't forget that we need to love him foremost and first, at the risk of offending our loved ones because we no longer agree with our commonly once-loved traditions, and we may feel the need to break fellowship with them in this area. Thankfully, several members of my extended family are joining me in celebrating the Feast of Stables in the Fall too, as well as joining me for Passover and the Feast of Pentecost (Weeks/Shavuot). I haven't taken to celebrating Hanukkah. It is not one of God's appointed religious festivals, so celebrating Hanukkah would be optional. I don't begrudge any believers for wanting to celebrate Hanukkah, but to me it seems like more of a patriotic occasion, similar to America's 4th of July. I get that most national Jewish holidays, are deeply associated with God's restoration and provision for his people, and that Hanukkah is connected to purifying and rededicating the temple in Jerusalem that Jesus himself drove the thieving money-changers out of, so I see nothing wrong with celebrating it in the spirit of comradery and national solidarity, and in light of the fact that our bodies are now the temple of the Living God. It's just not something that I'm interested in participating in, at this time. I'm still developing my habit of participating in the holidays that God ordained.
I stopped celebrating Christmas and Easter back in 2008 so it's been 15 years now. my reasons are various, being that it's pagan, that is not listed in the Bible to celebrate this holiday, that Jesus was not born on December 25th, that it's very materialistic and lying to the children is wrong and not Christian- like. The truth has set me free. A lot of stress wasted for nothing. And I wish I had😮😮 known the truth from the time I was a child instead of being brought up Catholic and caught in lies. Totally a man-made holiday along with Easter.
I have stepped back from doing Christmas decor this year. Although it’s nice to see other people decorate. If a person loves to decorate that’s great. I did it because it was expected of me, not because I enjoyed it. I’m sure my friends will think it to be weird of me. Why stress myself over something I don’t enjoy doing???
My children love the grilled cheese sandwiches at Starbucks with apple juice boxes. Worth every penny when you’re out doing errands. Use those gift cards. 😁
We love Christmas, so so much and I could never imagine not celebrating lol. We celebrate christ, his birth but also christmas brings us together as a family . We have a massive feast, we decorate the house, bake and exchange gifts. It truly is my favourite time of year but I respect everyone's own decisions around Christmas.
New friend here watching! We are Christians who don't celebrate Christmas the "mainstream" way. I am currently uploading a video on here about the same topic from our perspective! I wanted to see if any other Christian mommas didn't as well and happy to have found your channel. I'm a homeschool mama too!
We have stepped back from Christmas completely. The origins don’t suit us. Most people don’t realise what they’re celebrating. Gifts bring expectations.
Can someone please give me examples for what you guys do on Christmas? Like do you still give presents to your wife/husband/kids? I’m curious on what you guys do.
I will make a video on this. But i have a question, when you say "you guys" do you mean specifically our family or messianic Jews in general? This will help me.
@@chaserichardson3357 awesome. I’ll try to get a video out in early November. But to sum it up, it’s really different for everyone and every year it changes for us. We tend to go with the flow a lot. Maybe I’ll do a DITL too.

We don't celebrate Christmas either, I'm glad we aren't the only ones, I did try to email you, I'm not sure if you received my email or not, we are looking forward to hearing from you. Many Thanks, and Many Blessings to you.
@@LivingWithEve Hello, I have been checking my email, as of today, we still haven't received any emails from you, we are looking forward to hearing from you soon. With much thanks. The Saunders family.
Our last Christmas we celebrated was 3 years ago and we went to Disney. Once my husband and I discovered the true origins of it we stopped. My 10 year old does miss it, but my really close friend and her family stopped as well. We will get the kids together and just let them hang put and play. It has been easier for us now that we homeschool. We dont celebrate any holidays
Do you really think the early Church fathers would purposefully interject pagan worship into their glorification of Christ....we are talking about men who would rather be martyred (Including St Nicholas....Santa Claus) than worship in a pagan way....believe me when I tell you there is nothing pagan about Christmas.....
@David Davenport can you show me a scripture that supports/shows Christmas? I'm always open to wisdom. I don't go by who man will get martyred for, but what Christ died for.
I started hating the holidays back in my 30's. As of 2 years ago ive completely stoppped celebrating or acknowledging them. Between the pagan / origins of it , the lies attached to it , the obligated occassions , etc , i just said enough is enough. I do get ALOT of backlash from it but its a small price to pay for the freedom i have now gained from not celebrating.
I know this is an old video, but I love both the insight and the humor here. My family is Lutherans, and I am Apostolic Pentecostal. I grow up dressing with some modesty rules, but not many. My sister was very unsure when I started to dress with skirts only. I couldn’t care less what she did, I love her anyway. Now many years later we have found our way, and there are no issues with the “regular” stuff. I don’t support Halloween, but I don’t live near them so not a issue. If you “go of the normal” in the world we and/or people around often can be somewhat extreme in a phase, but then it becomes the new normal. I of course don’t give gifts to people that don’t is in line with my values, but I have got some myself, and I say thank you and either try to return it for something else, or give it to someone else if that is appropriate, and mostly it is. Most people have good intentions, and even though we do things a little different we need to try to respect each other. I do celebrate all the “standard” holidays, but even though the video was great and I love that you try to find your way to both follow your beliefs and considerate the people around you 💕 I am a new subscriber, and have seen some videos, but not commenting yet. I am autistic and have dyslexia and adhd, plus I am also disabled. I have a degree in political science, and live a “normal” life. I have worked with elderly, and volunteer with different groups including summer camps for adults with Down syndrome, so your channel content is interesting for me form different reasons. Thank you for sharing! Love and blessings from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴
Don't feel pressured to give gifts to folks.if you love giving then do it . But not guilt.l or obligation Maybe give family Hanukkah presents. Love dosent come with a price tag. Don't let entitled behavior pressure you.
I am hoping the body of Christ could come to the realization that Jesus left us one thing to do in remembrance of him, anything else is from the evil one and its corrupted Catholic church. Matthew 15:3 says ..Why then do yourselves violate the Commandments of God because of your tradition?... Christmas pretends to be light but is far away from it. Christians lie to their children, put a pagan tree in their homes, put sacrifices under it, put up (Catholic church) idols and call them decorations, become a hypocrite and be joyful that one day...Jesus says that we must change (born again) which means that we do not do it for a holiday but for the rest of our life. Be giving, be holy, be joyful, all these things God wants you to be year-round. Repent and turn away from it because it is not from your Lord that you received this but from a pagan tradition which the Lord warned us about.
I grew up catholic full of tradition. Christmas trees ect. I have had a change of heart and mind to distance from Christmas traditions. I don't mind listening/reading to the gospels. But with so many traditions all around from the churches with Christmas trees and blended with secularism and blended with Nativity that aren't at its fullest. I am at the stage in my life of honouring sometime off during the biblical high holidays. But maybe not in extent as yourself. But will spend time, reading the scriptures of the fullness of Jesus. The rest is traditions and trimmings
I bought a menorah this but forgot it only does six candles and you need Hannauki menorah opps. I will just burn two more candles. My family only buys presents for our nephews and nieces and my mom that's it. My mom still decorates. I thought she was done with all that, I guess not. It is fun to help and look at.
My daughter is 3 so she’s now gasping the idea of Christmas but, in the future I wanna teach her -we don’t de Christmas we travel. Not only is it just capitalism but, removes the “actual meaning” of Christmas. I rather save my bucks for more memorable things.
I have no problem with any holidays people participate in. I do think if you are a believer you should strive to keep the feast that are mentioned in the bible. I view Hanukkah and Christmas in the same light. Neither are biblical holy days. I agree that they are not that important, but I do celebrate both and spend time with family during holiday season.
Okay, so now we have the date of Christ's conception and death, which was accepted by many early Christians from the 2nd to 3rd centuries. The actual date of Christ's death would be recalculated in later centuries much more accurately, but March 25th would remain as the accepted date of Christ's conception in later centuries, as by that time the Jewish tradition of the "integral age" had fallen into obscurity. To this day, March 25th remains the commonly accepted date of Christ's conception, if for no other reason than tradition's sake, and that is why we celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th. Just count exactly nine months from the traditional date observed as Christ's conception (March 25th) and you land on the 25th day of December, which from the fourth century (AD 300s) onward was marked as the traditional date observed as Christ's birth -- the Feast of the Nativity. Of course, this worked out quite well for the Jewish Christians, particularly those living in Rome, because that date happened to coincide exactly (coincidence or providence?) with the beginning of the Jewish Christian observance of Hanukkah they had been celebrating on December 25th for a couple hundred years already. Now the Jewish Christians living in Rome were not only celebrating the coming of the Light of God (Jesus Christ) into the Second Temple (John 10:22-23) along with remembrance of the light that entered during the Maccabean Revolution, but December 25th now marked the coming of the Light of God into the whole world at his birth! Naturally, this added significance for this date to Gentile Christians as well, who were keen on celebrating birthdays, and in all likelihood the growing observance of December 25th among Christians in Rome was enough for the Pagan Caesar Aurelian to take notice of it in AD 274. Thus, seeing how closely this celebration was in proximity to the winter solstice, he tried to trump it with his Pagan Feast of Sol Invictus. The observance of December 25th was not a Pagan celebration hijacked by Christians as theorised by Jablonski and Hardouin in the 18th century, but rather the other way around. It was a growing Christian celebration that the Pagan Emperor attempted to hijack instead, in his vain attempt to reunify the crumbling Pagan religions of Rome. His attempted Feast of Sol Invictus (the Unconquered Sun), which marked the close of a winter solstice that Roman sun worshippers never cared about prior to his decree, was a miserable failure. Basically, it was a flop! The cult (and the empire) went extinct sometime in the 5th century. By that time Christianity had spread throughout all the known world, and would soon come to power as Christendom, the prevailing governance of all Europe during the Middle Ages. So that is how the date for Christmas (December 25th) came about.🤔
The angels celebrated His birth, and we should, like them, celebrate the joyous occasions. Consider, the famous Hymn, “Hark! the herald angels sing” “Glory to the newborn King” Peace on earth, and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled! Joyful, all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies With th’angelic hosts proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem!” Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King!” All of these things are used at Christmas, and condemned by people as pagan. Is this a double-standard? Once again we're right back to talking about having a standard and sticking to it. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. Luke 2 LUKE 2:8-14 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 9After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. 12And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. Most Christians agree with what the apostle Paul said: "One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it."4 • 20“For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Romans 14:5One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. 8If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Now since people are condemned for not meeting on the first day of the week, is that not clearly false teaching per the above passage. Thus if I meet on the 4th day of the week and keep the “commands” am I really hell bound? And if not then if people consider Christmas and Easter as Holy Days per Romans 14 how is it that someone condemns them for doing so
We do NOT do Christmas either. Since we cannot miss the holiday, we have an actual birthday party. The kids bake a cake each, and decorate them for Jesus. We do give them a few gifts, but after we make care packages for those in need. I make a ridiculous end of year family letter (that rhymes & is sooo corny), and include a collage 4x4 or 6x4 picture. That's it!
They need to get rid of it I don't care what nobody think or feel it starts to irritate me once I realized it I find it very offensive I hate it ever was taught to me I forgive my parents did they break free from that and don't continue to teach them lies to their grandchildren never too late to break the chain
You claim to believe in the fullness of the Torah but In it The Most High rejected Jewish feast days at certain periods because they were not done for His glory. Also, The Apostles didn't leave for the christian church a list of memorial feasts maybe only the Lord's Supper. However celebrating the Birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is never prohibited.
No worries, I don't celebrate Christmas either :D I do celebrate New Year though, with the tree and gifts and stuff, but not Christmas. Because I live in Russia - an orthodox country, that celebrates Christmas on January 7th but it's a religious holiday and I'm not religious. So yeah.
I do celebrate Christmas 🙏🏻❤️🎁🎄and I always will . Christmas is a time for family reflecting on our Lord and Savior no matter what month he was born we still celebrate his birth .You think God is going to punish us because we’re honoring when he was born I don’t think so. God bless you and you family 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️🎁🎁🎁🎄🎄🎄.

Judaism and Christianity had a final split in ca 180 AD......why do you as Christians, if that is what you are, not amenable to Christian high holy days.....cannot Christianity have its traditional feast days as the Jews have?

Thank goodness I'm not a Christian
We don’t do Santa, Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy or anything like that….

I love this! It's so interesting learning more about how you celebrate the Jewish holidays! God is good!
I am so glad I found your videos, we are a homeschooling family and this is our first year not celebrating Christmas and celebrating Chanukkah and the high holidays. We have been celebrating Passover for years and are so excited to celebrate all the high holidays!
😂 not sitting in Santa's lap is a wise call even if you did celebrate Christmas lol
I’m dying inside… ☠️
😂
Very, Very Good Point!
I wholeheartedly agree. Being the only one makes it the most isolating time of the year for me.
I love Christmas! Our traditions as a family that reflect on God sending Christ for us and look forward to His return are priceless to me. ♥️

We don't do Santa or anything that would be lying to our children. No decorating. We go to Christmas family stuff because, like you said, some things are expected. We are still newish to celebrating the Biblical feasts, so I can't wait to invite family to those celebrations next year.
Love your content.
Thank! Yup, totally expected. But it's family, and family needs to be close.
We don't do Santa either, or Easter Bunny or the tooth fairy, although we DO celebrate Christmas. I wish more Christians would think about these things instead of just going along with our culture's expectations.
Shalom and happy Chanukah to you and your lovely family!! Enjoy your holidays as you see fit!! My family doesn't celebrate Christmas either!🙏❤
Thanks for sharing. Yes, as time goes on convictions change. My journey has for sure changed over the years.
“I’m not giving you my Starbucks gift cards” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣lol that was hilarious because I literally was going to type “give them to me!” 🤣🤣🤣
I trying to stop celebrating Christmas. It's an overrated, money wasting holiday...
What about for folks who don't want to be a part of consumerism? Is that okay?
Sure
I really appreciate your perspective even though I know it may be somewhat unusual in our country. It gave me some great things to think about.
That's great bro. great video sharing. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
A little bit of leaven, leavens the whole loaf. The true history of xmas, where it came from (paganism) is why we don't celebrate it. I understand your thoughts behind it. (But again, just a little leaven is all it takes)
Blessings and love to all! I pray we all seek the narrow path! 🙏

I love your videos. They always crack me up and I always learn ❤😂
Thank you so much for your response!
Lol! I’m not giving you my Starbucks gift cards. So many people im sure gasped at the thought.

Can someone please give me examples for what you guys do on Christmas? Like do you still give presents to your wife/husband/kids? I’m curious on what you guys do.

I love getting your Holiday cards
I loved sending it to you. 🤗
Happy birthday, Katie.
I do celebrate all the “standard” holidays, but even though the video was great and I love that you try to find your way to both follow your beliefs and considerate the people around you 💕
I am a new subscriber, and have seen some videos, but not commenting yet.

Amen, totally agree 👍
The world is mad. How do you believe those things??
My daughter is 3 so she’s now gasping the idea of Christmas but, in the future I wanna teach her -we don’t de Christmas we travel.
Not only is it just capitalism but, removes the “actual meaning” of Christmas. I rather save my bucks for more memorable things.
Lol starbucks has food too now! Just a thought. they do have sandwhiches and desserts.
I grew up Jewish and never celebrated Christmasism(cause it might as well be a religion, jk)... but I recently wondered if I was all alone, lol😂😂
Did either you or your husband grow up Messianic? Or did you choose it together. Just curious. I like hearing other’s perspectives 🥰
No, I was Christian and so was he. But I started going to a Messianic Synagogue when I was 20ish.
@@LivingWithEve That’s cool. ❤️ I find hearing about your celebrations fascinating.
God said I am not allowed to celebrate Christmas because I am a Muslim
Awww no I totally wanted to say I WANT THE GIFT CARDS LOL. 💖💖
Consider, the famous Hymn, “Hark! the herald angels sing”
“Glory to the newborn King”
Peace on earth, and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled!
Joyful, all ye nations rise,
Join the triumph of the skies
With th’angelic hosts proclaim,
“Christ is born in Bethlehem!”
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King!”
All of these things are used at Christmas, and condemned by people as pagan.
Most Christians agree with what the apostle Paul said:
"One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it."4
• 20“For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
And if not then if people consider Christmas and Easter as Holy Days per Romans 14 how is it that someone condemns them for doing so
Not me. I'm all about Christmas and gifts and and food and all the good things that come along with it .
Celebration of Christ is what Christmas is all about in our family. He is the ONLY reason for the season. God bless ❤
If I were a boss I would want an employee like you. I wouldn't have to pay Christmas bonuses ✌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
We call it end-of-the-year bonuses... you'll still have to pay. lol
My husband is kind of the shopper too. Or at least the impulse shopper. 🤷♀️
Ok
I love Christmas and Im a atheist.
What if someone was celebrating for "His Glory" then?
I hope you can give the Starbucks gift cards to someone (family or friends) so they can get some use out of them before they expire!
Yes… lol My husband does have them right now and I think he sneak a chocolate something here and there.
I will celebrate Christmas and I will put up a Christmas tree have a nice day
Good. For. You. Bye!
By your family 'requiring, it is expected of you' to buy gifts, you are in bondage. A bit sad.
No worries, I don't celebrate Christmas either :D
I do celebrate New Year though, with the tree and gifts and stuff, but not Christmas. Because I live in Russia - an orthodox country, that celebrates Christmas on January 7th but it's a religious holiday and I'm not religious.
So yeah.
How interesting. Crazy how even though we are connected through social media yet we still have very different traditions.
He's not going to punish you, of course not. Have a wonderful Christmas this year.
Same i don't celebrate Thanksgiving
It’s a pagan holiday.
Christmas is the Christian and worldly adaptation of Yule. Yule is the pagan holiday. :)
translation of the video: we believe in the trinity wich consist of god being 3 yet on. yet the son talk to his father but still is one ! at least the hindu got a logical trimurti but we are christians ! god must impregnante a woman so a second god is born out of her (disgusting) and this second god will be dead on a cross ! so that we are saved if we acknolwedge by the writings of other men that if he died. if was for us ! it like saying "emo jesus cutted his veins for us. you should thank emo jesus who cuted his veins for you. otherwise his father would have throw all humans in hell... that how jesus logic's retarded is. if you do pagan heathen traditions ! you will open yourself to other gods and you won't worship our demon lord jesus anymore !!
Judaism and Christianity had a final split in ca 180 AD......why do you as Christians, if that is what you are, not amenable to Christian high holy days.....cannot Christianity have its traditional feast days as the Jews have?
There is a difference based on how you define "feast day".
@@LivingWithEve HUh?
Huh?
Do you believe in Jesus Christ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Yes, did you watch the video all the way through???
