It's weird how Alexis Denisof's real accent kind of sounds faker than his fake British accent on Angel.
He could actually pose as a random shopper at the mall and no one would be the wiser.

She was 29 years old playing a 16 year old in Buffy. A bit cringe but I'm glad she went into Angel as she could actually play someone closer to her own age.

@@HariSeldon913 Charisma carpenter was nearly 30 in the early series of Buffy, and she was playing a 16-17 year old. Google it - it's common knowledge.

Cordelia in Angel was the same character as Cordelia in Buffy, so the character remained just as much younger than the actress, not "someone closer to her own age" as you stated.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED SPIKE! Laughed myself silly when he was "neutered" and became a "better vampire" so to speak.I liked when he developed an emotional/sexual fixation upon Buffy and being rebuffed continuously ( until he wasn't!!!) Thank you James Marsters, you rocked that role!

Season 5 shouldn't have happened IMO, there is no way any of them would have joined Wolfram and Hart. Only Angel had a decent reason. A jump the shark moment there.

All she did was berate angel, was never wrong and in turn all he did was look at the floor and act like a dumb useless male.

It’s funny because James is far superior to David, imo. I always prefer villains too so I’d say Spike is better than Angel any day!

These weren't my shows, but I have to say, I love seeing the camaraderie between the cast members, their genuine fondness for each other. I always love seeing that.
That's probably why the shows worked so well.
I loooved Spike & Angel! They were amazingly hated each other but very cool & undeniably brotherly loved each other! My all time fave episode is when Spike & Angel went looking for Buffy while Buffy was in Europe. That episode was soooo freakin hilarious! ❤❤❤

Was necessary for development of character to show to Spike, who COULD have taken Buffy then that he was NOT the right for her, that he was lacking . It is what drove him to his quest to get his soul back. Only then could he be the guy she needed.

I just watched this to read the comments and see if anyone else loved how Supernatural had James and Charisma on their show as a couple. I remember when I first watched that episode I spotted them right away and was so ecstatic! I just love the casts of Buffy and Angel! I miss the 90s lol.
That was a great episode, and I thought it was cool to see them get so much screen time together.
Really wish Angel had just one more season.

On the show I liked Angel more than Spike in beginning because Angel was
kinder and then he got his own show and he was just more in charge than
Spike, but over the years Spike grew on me he became funnier. I've met
both David and James nice guys, but I found James much more personable
and fun. But I'd love to meet the whole cast all seem really coo people.

I've met the whole cast but david I can say out of everyone james is hands down the best I could hold a conversation with him that lasted like 15 to 20 minutes the dude is awesome
I started watching the show after I saw the Hush episode in season 4 so Spike was always more appealing to me than Angel. When I bought Season 1 of Buffy, I thought he was great but no Spike. Angelus though was interesting.

James and Charisma sitting together is actually cool to have at this point as they've only really had a few scenes together in the entire Buffyverse. I love it when David reminisced about the first time James/Spike appeared on season 5 and all their reactions were "Spike?!" 😂 Man, I wished they did another season. Can we do an Angel reboot again? James and David still look hot, they can still pull of the vampire look, right? lol

Spike ALWAYS adds something to the scene/ensemble/show. Like most, I was ALWAYS going to watch a Spike episode. He was one of the best things on both of those shows.
James and Charisma were in an episode together in “Supernatural” 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💚 AND Mercedes McNab,who played the part of,wait for it,a VAMPIRE! And then Christian Kane too,great voice 🎤🎼 Those episodes were like mini non official Buffy/Angel crossovers for me,great nostalgic memories.Makes me want to rewatch Supernatural, BTVS & Angel all over again. Three of my ALL time favourite TV shows of all time 👌🏼💚

My grandmother loved these shows Buffy and Angel id watch em with her when i was a child all the time. Lot's of great memories miss these shows Spike was the best!
James is magnetic. David is sweet. It's really hard to choose between these two for Buffy. But I think she had the best of both worlds. Two great guys with different personalities who weren't supposed to b committed to her. Spike brought the grown up version of Buffy and David was the slow transition for her. From girl to a woman. Spike was turnover she needed. From grown woman to woman with desire.

Holy crap! I knew Spike wasn't really British, but Wesley? I first saw him on Sharpe; a thoroughly British show. Then he continued to have the accent in every other thing I ever saw him in. This is mind blowing to me.

Weird that they didn't include Vincent Kartheiser who played Connor. Granted, he was younger than them and his character was hated, but he was a part of the main cast.
I liked Connor, I had issues with the season arch more than anything, and his role within the arch, he could've been a lot better if the writers treated him well, but it's as if they wanted him to be unlikable.
IMO he should have been added here and even though Julie Benz's character was a recurring one, Darla did play a big part on this show. I also wanna see Mercedes McNabb because she was longest serving cast member to ever be on buffyverse. She was in an unaired pilot of Buffy all the way to the Finale of Angel.

Its funny how we have gone from soo many of our favorite British characters in the 90-00s actually being American in real life to now having many of our favorite American characters actually being British in real life.
A lot of British actors have always tried to make it in America as that’s where the big bucks are, obviously. The 90s were no different than now.
It is surprising and rare when it’s the other way though as usually American actors have been awful at British accents, but when it’s for an American audience they don’t care. In Buffy they were really good though.
Spike is the funniest character of Buffy/angel I actually thought James marsters was actually a British actor I didn’t know that he was American after seeing him in Smallville. Spike is my second favourite character after oz I’m so thankful that Buffy/angel had a huge influence on my dream as a writer. I can’t believe that Alexis is American as I thought he was a British actor

It’s sad that they’re saying it was so cool when Spike came on because, through no fault of James’, he came on to replace Charisma on Angel as well. At least for me, there was no replacing Cordelia. She was the heart of the show and it just wasn’t the same without her. I wish season 4 had never happened and that they could have both been on together.
