Tommy is the real challenge, for sure) If you don't play fingerstyle then the best way to start would be something from Chet Atkins (Windy and Warm, Freight Train). If you master 5 songs in that style then you can take something very simple from Tommy like: "Song for a rainy morning", "Lewis and Clark". Good Luck!
So nice! love your guitar playing. Im thinking about buying a better guitar, but not too expensive and this Martin Jr caught my eye, what is your experience with it? and do you have the original pickup? all the best
Thanks! Yes, this Martin is not expensive, considering the brand. I didn't plan to buy it, but the opportunity came to me, so I did. And I don't regret at all) Pluses: full massive wood on back, sides and front (which is surprising for the cost). The pickup was already on board (I think it sounds fine, but definitely worse than Matons or Takamine) the pickup has piezo and mic. Also, this guitar is very pretty and nice to look at. Size. Well, it's something between 000 and Mini. It's a little bit smaller than usual models. I wanted exactly that but this is not for everybody. Size obviously reflects on the sound. Negatives: It's not loud. You can't expect to fill the crowded room with this instrument if people are making noises. If you use dead strings, it's even worse. This is the main thing, really. Pickup could be better, in my opinion, but it's really not a problem to change it. Still, because of the body of this guitar, it can't produce deep sound, and you may lack a base. BUT. The sound is not bad. It's very unique and comfy. It's a very good instrument for home sessions)
@@radutrofimThank you so much for taking the time to answer! Yes I have a cheap fender dreadnought but I was looking for something a little bit smaller since what I mostly play is fingerstyle. I do some gigs around town and people talking is always annoying but with a good pickup usually is fine. Look forward for your next videos.
