Lucas, thanks so much for sharing how it really went last season. I felt you were potentially heading for a small burnout, because skiing, travelling and filming and editing was taking up all your time. The fun could quickly become a chore if you didn’t take time off. The severe weather, van troubles and being out on the road by yourself is tough man.
Please schedule time off next season. I know you need to create content and you need to do that when the snow is there, but you need to think about yourself too.
Naturally I love the videos, the whole package is excellent . You are inspiring. Take care Lucas.
Thanks very much James. I certainly learned a lot about the whole process and myself. It was my first time doing it full time so I was really trying to make the most of it. I definitely will pace myself a little better to have more longevity throughout April and may. Thank you for the support and for looking out my friend. Means a lot.
Agreed. Make sure having fun is the number one priority, that way it won't become a "job". If you do that, I think the rest will take care of itself.

It was so sick living and skiing in SLC during an absolutely unforgettable season. Was fortunate to ski 300k vert over 30 days. Was also cool to see you at the meet up at Solitude. You’re an inspiring skier and human being.
That is a legit amount of vert in only one month! It was awesome getting to shred with you at the meetup and hopefully I’ll see you again this year!!

One of the sickest storms I’ve seen in my 20+ years of being out west.
What a season. You made the decision to do some traveling around in the van and it turned into one of the best ski seasons. Stars lined up for you. Yewww!

Love the video recap of your epic season, just makes me want to go back again down to Mt Ruapehu here in the NI, been their best season for years with a 2.5m snowbase on the upper mountain, just brilliant for us kiwis. Stoked for another season, although our season doesn’t realistically start until at least late November here in Pennsylvania. Hoping to get out west at least a couple times this year.

Too cool, and inspiring. Heading out to the Wasatch front in a week, then later to CO. Goal is 15 days. My fantasy is to be the 61 year old version of Lucas, LOL!
"should have been able to handle it" "Should have made the most of it" - it's okay to feel like you need a break. You're only human. Take a break from time to time! It's totally fine. You'll go further and be healthier. Keep up the great work but remember that great work takes time and effort to create and without the battery to keep going you won't be able to make great work. Charge it from time to time.

Lucas, thank you for bringing us on an amazing journey last year. One thing I think would be good to share, how many days did you get on the snow?
It was great that you made it to the PNW and some of the Mtn's around Seattle. Someone, it was evident you needed a break from the intensity of everything happening up to that point. The year did finish strong, with an amazing late summer skiing. Have you considered having a 1 week getaway from the snow to somewhere warm & tropical (mid-january) to help maintain the sanity?
Your summer happenings, car racing, & paintball is a nice way to balance the warmer months. I will admit I missed having your hiking/trekking videos.
Perhaps if you make it up to the PNW and hit Alpental, hopefully the weather is way better, we could take you into our backcountry areas, where I think you;'d be impressed what is available from a small hill.
I foresee your channel growing bigger and larger this year. I'm holding out for you hitting 75K. I fully believe it's within reach. I hope you'll get some additional great invites like you did last year, as you definitely deserve it.

Thanks Morgan! I need to do a better job of keeping track, but I think I was around 88 days on snow. Didn’t quite make it to 100. That’s the goal for next season though.
I think a mid season break could be nice or at least slow down the pace of travel. That’s what is really taxing. Appreciate all the support Morgan and hopefully I’ll see ya out at snowqualmie again!

Sorry to hear the PNW part of the journey was the suckiest. The cold, wet, and gray/rainy weather can feel like a gauntlet up here at times for sure. You got the true PNW experience, seasonal depression included. Lol. It can also really pay off up here, so hope the next time you visit is a bit better. NGL though, after seeing the conditions in Cali and Utah last year, that looks hard to beat.
Now that you're into mountain biking, Squamish/the North Shore Vancouver, and Whistler are apparently on another level. It is pretty beautiful up here in the summer or shoulder season when the weather works out.

That was a wonderful recap , I can totally understand the burnout especially with the struggle with Luna and it is what it is , I was a little bummed that you totally blew off a 5 ft powder storm , but I get it , sometimes the reserve tank is on E and it doesn’t feel fun and you know what , that is okay, it was an epic season!

East was disappointing too warm ,not enough dumps and rainy . One week in steamboat and a weekend in tremblant we’re almost equal to the entire East session. But I did manage to get some good mid and post storm skiing in Maine and nh
