One fateful night, a peaceful village is thrown into the flames of war. Determined to save their families captured by the Berman Army, a group of children hops aboard a giant tank, the Taranis. All player characters are children that can be permanentlly killed off, so I'd say this game already has a bit of Yoko Taro style on it.
I somehow nodded in agreement while screaming in horror at the idea.
It would make sense. Little Tail Bronx and the Nier Series have a lot of things in common if you read about their lore.
Let us not forget for a second that Yoko Taro chose the youngest possible character to be sacrificed to the Death Cannon. Shine on, you crazy diamond!

I mean, I'm an anime fan. I can strech my suspension of disbelief a bit and get behind fanservice. At some point, you kind-of have to, at least a little, within reason of course. But this actually does seem like a lot for the furry war orphan game.

Thanks for English subtitles! I am not surprised at all that Mr. Yoko instantly put Mei and Hanna into soul cannon when he found out he can choose whom ahahaha. Sasuga Mr. Yoko.
But seriously, I don't know how to keep going if you cannon Hanna that early in the game, she is the only one who can cast lullaby in the early game until Chick show up lmao. Game only have finite recover item given and gained at each chapter's advancing route. Mei gotta a lot of useful skills too at helping surviving tough battle, only she got AOE armor piercing skill, help a ton at two driller tanks fight later on. Basically all kids got their unique strength part at boosting Taranis's survive rate. Wappa's scavenge shot help you level Taranis equipment at unbelievable rate for all that spare parts drop, Kyle early main dps to quickly dispatch armor problem, Boron seem weak at the start but after he gain overload it's completely an overkill not to mention how good his hero mode is, Socks the main debuff dealer with smoke & fire & stun combo, Chick & Hack both strong supportive and skills and hero mode and only Chick got the risk grenade at helping adding debuff to enemy, Sheena the spell caster with OP skill like veil(strong healing overtime) and shield(invincible shield for a small period of time), Jin's mine attack can quickly disposal triple land no armor tank composition in mid game with fair EP cost, Britz supportive combine with Hack's burning trigger can finish difficult tough enemy at amazing rate, Malt just like every SRPG game typical hero-like protagonist got the best and stable dps-related skill at all stages of game.
Yoko taro is an agent of chaos and I'm here for it

But here, that choice comes down to the player's preference in the end.
