Gardening with Gundula: Buzz buttons 🌼

A few weeks ago, we divided our spilanthes (toothache plant) and repotted the seedlings. These seedlings have matured and been planted out. The plants are now flowering, its flowers called “buzz buttons” coloured in electric hues.
These flowers have an interesting effect and when eaten in small doses it can serve as a local anaesthetic.
These perennial plants are easy enough to grow and sow, but will go dormant in winter.
