I remember a classmate playing guitar using a sound module, it sounded magical, just like this one. It's like a different world of sounds coming from a box.
Oh yes, absolutely. The INTEGRA-7 is a MIDI sound module and can be used with any MIDI capable instrument. Thanks for watching! - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
If I'm working on an arrangement and just laying down ideas, I use this module for playback. This way I don't have to worry about sample libraries and stuff....it's actually pretty good, except Roland decided they didn't want to update the EDITOR anymore so if you updated the iOS, you won't be able to use it anymore.
I am amazed at how some people in the comments can say the Integra 7 sounds cheap or dare say it's crap. Yes it is quite possible some of the Supernatural instrument sounds are Roland's reused assets from S series library but remastered and more nuanced. Roland still make Supernatural workstation keyboards so why shouldn't they make a Supernatural sound module to appeal more to midi music production? Even the Roland JV/XP/XV PCM sounds are still perfectly useable in 2020.
What I miss from Roland is one complete workstation with fully weighted keyboard. Can you imagine the power of having RD800 and integra 7 in just one portable instrument?
STIG Zero well, 76 "semi-weighted" keys, but nothing compared with the feel of a true Stage Piano. In other words, what I meant is that it would be superb if Roland developed a "Kronos" of its own. Don't you think?
Renato Aranha Campos Yes, the Roland FA08 has a 88 weighted keys that feels as good or better than the Kronos. I've owned both. From the Roland FA-08 specs: "88-note Ivory Feel-G Keyboard with natural weighted action" You are on the internet. All of this info is just a click away. :-) www.kraftmusic.com/roland-fa-08-music-workstation.html
Markus Arike , you're right about what you said. But for me there's no comparison between the keybeds of the RD-800 and FA-08... unfortunately! This is one of the reasons the RD-800 is more expensive. Specially for piano players, the key feel really is a critical factor for choosing the instrument, as I'm sure you're aware. In an Utopian world, I wanted to have a keyboard with the feel of a grand piano, sound capability of an Integra Module and weight of a feather ;-)
Great module, I'll get this bundle sometime this season. I have some major questions though. 1. Will the VST of the instrument interface with FL studio? I see it's set to Sonar. It would screw my workflow if i have to bounce in between Daws then transfer the material over to FL. 2. Will this program also work on Android? The galaxy Tab is half the cost of an Ipad.
Wow! Super awesome. Great video. So Scott, I'm thinking about learning how to play a piano and was looking at the Roland FP-30 as a descent, low-end starter piano. But down the road, I would like to invest in a Synth type piano to complement my piano playing. I was thinking on maybe the Roland FA-08 to replace the FP-30 if I should go down that road. But looking at this Integra 7, will this be all I really need as an add-on to the FP-30? Will the Integra 7 do everything the FA-08 can do and more? Just looking for the best stepping up options out there for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
WOW Integra 7 is a PRO sound module and has tons of sounds, it's like a real PRO orchestra there. FP30 is very nice as a 1st digital piano. Wish I could have it too! In my opinion, you don't need a FA08 or Integra 7 for now. First, learning to play piano is much more important - one step at time. And FA08 x Integra 7 are for different purposes. FA08 is a workstation/synthesizer (you can record songs there in his sequencer) - Integra 7 is a sound module (has no sequencer to record, you have to record outside, for ex. using together with a software in the computer: Cubase, Sonar...). FA08 is a "mid level" keyboard (there are 3 levels: entry / mid / top). The top level in this category(workstation/synthesizer) is Fantom G8. Integra 7 also is a top level, but in sound module category. Integra 7 is a dream sound module for all keyboard players! It has pretty much sounds from entire Roland keyboards in there, plus the new Super Natural sounds! lol Those 12 SRX expansion boards was a dream boards collection for keyboard players in the past! And they are all "virtual" in Integra 7, for FREE! It's just incredible - nice shot, Roland! Check the sounds here: www.rolandus.com/flash/demos/srx/
One important difference between the FA keyboards and the Integra-7 is the number of Studio Sets( multi/ split/layer) memories. The Integra has only 64 and they are all writable. The FA has about 69 preset and 512 user, which makes it a lot better for live. Roland intends the Integra-7 more as a DAW expansion, where you will save your sounds with your song via the VST editor.
Thanks for your interest. Question #1…a VST is a VST, so if FL Studio supports VST instruments then the Integra is compatible….shouldn't be a problem. Question #2…as far as I know, the editor is only iOS compatible for Apple devices. I feel you brother, I'd also prefer to use a more affordable Android device. Thanks for watching! - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368

WOW! This module sure do sounds amazing! 6000 sound?! do I need another module for a complete production? And One thing you forgot to say is how many polyphonic this module is?
Great video and presentation Mr. Tibbs . Wouldn't have mind an additional 5 minutes of you just playing along and making music. First thing I'd like to do is try one out. Guess I'll start saving for one or two of these to be used in orchestral composition
That answered my question I have an 88 weighted key Kurzweil, what a dream it would be to play through this module on my Kurzweil. The iPad program is nice too being able to get into the settings like LogicPro without my entire computer set up. I have a 64GB iPad 3, humm.. Is there a website where more of the sounds can be previewed?
Absolutely fantastic module with amazing souds, but the full pc/mac vsti editor would be very important!!! I love the sounds, I want to buy it but the very limited ipad editor being the only option to control this beast... this is a dealbreaker for me. I have a computer screen in my face already, I like controling all my external soundmodules on my computer, in my daw. I think this is the point of buying a soundmodule instead of a workstation! I'm waiting and hoping for a full editor.

Sir, I really impressed on your demonstration. I purchased an Integra-7 , an iPad Air and also Roland a49. But I cannot change the midi channel by a49. But midi channel can be changed by Roland XP60. Is it possible to change by a49?
Thanks a lot! This is for sure on my must buy list :D One more question, does this module feature "articulations" for strings and brass such as staccato, legato, pizzicato? Great video, I love the bundles you offer
Just wondering why, in this age of usb mid we can't just take the usb midi out of a keyboard and plug into the usb in on the Integra 7? Less cables, less faffing around. Doesn't make any sense having to always use old style din connections. I'm not saying get rid of them as many older keyboards/controllers will only have din type midi but most newer keyboards over the last 5 years or so can easily transmite/receive midi via usb.
I realise that this is an old video but .. the connections are not well explained. The USB cable only provides power to the A-49? OK so, the iPad is connected to where exactly? And do I connect the Integra to the computer (DAW) via what and where? I see three wires coming out of the A-49 in this video .. one is the usb to the front of the integra, second is the midi cable to the integra, what is the third?! Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me.
Which Roland keyboard has the equivalent sound set and the matching MIDI capability to perform some of operations in this demo? for example, the timpani rolls at 3:58.
Hello Scott, can I connect an electric guitar directly into the Integra 7 and select various sound effects from it? Or, do I need the Duo-Capture EX in order to do this? Thank you.
Can I somehow substitute a TD-50 or TD-30 v-drums sound module for this Integra-7 one? I play piano and drums and want to buy & use ONLY one sound module.
Does this integra 7 work with only roland keyboard controller?? I wanna use it with akai mpk261 or some other keyboard controller. Does this integra 7 work with them too??
I have Roland XPS 10 Keyboard which does not have MIDI IN OUT 5 pin connection. It has USB out for keyboard to computer. In this case can I use tones from XPS 10 into GR 55. Thanks in advance
Would it be possible to plug this into a Korg Kronos Midi and be able to use the Kronos as the controller for the integral-7 and use all those sounds it has? I wonder if I would be able to use the Kronos sounds aswell with it. That would really be nice to have them both.
Dont remember what year I bought the Integra but the price of the machine is still increasing. I think you have to pay about 100 pounds more today then when I got it.
Can I connect two keyboards to the Integra 7 and play together? I want to build my keytar. I want one kb to play the bass or chord sounds (left hand like a guitar) and the main keyboard (right hand) to play melodiy and chords. Is this possible? tnx Ed
I wonder if this Integra 7 can be used with the new Roland BK9 arranger. Would I be able to use all the supernatural features of those sounds using a BK9 arranger and could the sounds be used with the features of the BK9 just like if they were in the system???
+mproductionsmusik If you want the plugin for Mac that looks as nice as the one on the iPad and has some extra features like editing of the SN acoustic and drum patches and master parameters, you want to download the 1.0.0. Mac VST3/AU editor. There's a second plugin, this time both for the PC and Mac (2.0.0. and 2.0.1. on the Mac) which looks quite utilitarian, but offers some more options like the editing of PCM patches. If you have a Mac, definitely use the 1.0.0. plugin. Don't let the version number fool you, it isn't problematic, but in case the VST3 plugin is crashing your DAW, delete it within the /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/ (Finder>Go>Go To Folder) folder (VST3/Roland) and use the AU plugin. You can still open up the 2.0.1. plugin when you want to edit PCM sounds. Hope that helped. :)
Android simply not capable (at the time). Not Roland's fault. One could say that it's 'really smart' of 1.5 billion Android users to buy into a less capable OS.
i dnt have a mac setup..could i still use an ipad for navigation and surround feild without syncing to a pc tower? then record the audio output into a DAW host...basically set my parts where i want them in the stereo feild and play live or solo them..
Is it possible to use WIFI adaptor for the IPAD and the MIDI Keyboard controller simultaneously since there is only one USB port available for Integra 7?
If you have an A-49 controller like I do, hold the Function, Assign, and Pitch buttons while plugging the unit in to the power supply to enable the controller to receive power in standalone. Once you’ve done this, each subsequent boot should work normally with the power adapter without having to press that combination of buttons. The power supply is a simple cellphone charger. Just checkout the volts and amperes and get the right one. It's pretty simple.
The iPad editor for Integra 7 is discontinued? Meaning it can no longer be downloaded from the iStore? I was just about to buy an Integra 7 but not being able to use the iPad connection feature is stopping me in my tracks as I was going to be using that the most to control the Integra.
can anybody please tell me how you layer sounds because i can't find one video on youtube showing how and maybe I'm overlooking it but the manual doesn't say anything either…PLEASE HELP
I've always wanted this Integra 7 module but my God! back then when it came out on 2012, was about $2,700 and now you can get it for as little as $980 if you know where to look BUT! (No, I'm not talking about my Butt...) I think Roland either dropped the ball or are simply too generous when they came up with their flagship keyboard, the Roland FA-08 which now has ALL OF THE SOUNDS of the Integra 7 + about or over 2,000 plus the easiest navigation of all of today's synths and a Looping 16 channel sequencer.. What? Now you don't have a valid reason to buy a keyboard controller + an Integra 7, just the New Roland FA-08 and on top of that cherry of a sundae, the whole Axiel Library of sounds is free to download on their site...? Who's managing this company? Mother Theresa?!? Guys, not making publicity for Roland... I'm just excited!!! (easy you pervs...) never thought I would buy a Roland so bad after getting rid of my RD700 nx... NICE!!! sorry my korg kronos X, I have to sell you to buy another... sniff!
Jade Pascual i think its on par with the other companies. . Excellent sound selection and effects. Just imagine what you could do by using kronos sounds and sequencer in conjunction with rhe sounds of the integra? Limitless possibilities.
Sir, You are a great musucian. Please do not misguide by demonstrating with a cheap /unsuccessful instrument like Roland a49. By a49 no one can control midi channel of Integra-7 while on live performance.
so..that snare sound is the same as the old D-110 - some of those samples must have been in Roland's library for decades...and sounds like it. Also, would be nice to explain what the function of the iPad is...just sayin'
My only issue here is the price tag. Like the A88, which I can see would be more handy than the A49, is a $1,000. Yes I can see the need to jump a hundred for the ivory weighted keys but a $1,000 for a MIDI controller? Really Roland. Second is the pricing of the Integra 7, $2k for it. The better price bracket would be something along the lines of $1500 or so, much like the JP50. We're not made of money Roland, please reconsider your pricing.
Why do you guys make the editor and great features for iOS and Mac: what happens to Windows and Android users who are far more greater in number than iOS and Mac users? Please rethink the business. However, I use this stuff in my studio and it's really great.
The reason is because 80% of stage key players use and trust more Mac than Pc's. They are just going with the full market flow not a few customers choices.
I'm not sure if the Integra will support direct USB connectivity with your EWI. Maybe contact Roland tech support on this? Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368

Does it have oscillators and filters and envelopes?
Can a Midi Wind Controller, Akai EWI USB, connect directly to the Roland INTEGRA-7 via USB with out it using a computer?
Owning eight individual outputs, maybe one can send a guitar tone to a single out and pass through a guitar amp simulator?
good module for church musicians
Franciso Mowatt , did you ever get your question answered?
I want one now to complete my studio setup.
is there anything else on the market worth comparing from other manufacturers?
Uhm, in this price range maybe a Yamaha Psr S950
Why people use kronos so much? It's because its top notch sounds and flexibility of its functions. Practically limitless potential.
How many expansions can i load simultiniusly ?
can anybody please tell me how you layer sounds because i can't find one video on youtube showing how and maybe I'm overlooking it but the manual doesn't say anything either…PLEASE HELP
i don't have one of these but on a couple of my synths you set the midi channel the same
Hi there
Dose Roland A-49 have aftertouch?
No they didn't just sensevity
NICE!!! sorry my korg kronos X, I have to sell you to buy another... sniff!
I thought the fa has less sounds than the I7. Either way, I bloody hate the choir sounds of them
Agreed. Without the iPad app, it was a squash for me.
Does it work with windows and android?
Does it have the d-50 sounds?
How many gigabytes of sample rom?
what about your own waves?
Scott looks a bit like Tobby from The Office.
@ 00:45 So you're saying,,,the USB input on the front of the Module does not process MIDI information....its only purpose is power USB devices?
INTEGRA-7 + IPad = Perfect
Amazing
can u connect this module to a roland rd 700 nx?
6000 sounds. U cant beat the integra 7. im not saying its better than yamaha or korg. But its a great addition to your gear.
Jade Pascual i think its on par with the other companies. . Excellent sound selection and effects. Just imagine what you could do by using kronos sounds and sequencer in conjunction with rhe sounds of the integra? Limitless possibilities.
Daniel Morales a lot of people use the kronos .. how come?
It’s on par sound-wise. There are more features with the Kronos, but those features aren’t necessary for everyone.🤷🏾♂️
Awesome ツ
Why do you guys make the editor and great features for iOS and Mac: what happens to Windows and Android users who are far more greater in number than iOS and Mac users? Please rethink the business. However, I use this stuff in my studio and it's really great.
The reason is because 80% of stage key players use and trust more Mac than Pc's. They are just going with the full market flow not a few customers choices.
I want one
I woud be glad to have interga based keyboard. That`s a pity that Roland doesn`t have it.
zhest07 the fa is based on the integra 7 it has all the synths it’s missing a few of the acoustic sounds
WOOOOOOW
This product can add new sampling? Such as YC 30 organ sound.
I'm not sure if the Integra will support direct USB connectivity with your EWI. Maybe contact Roland tech support on this? Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
