This is a great video with very clear instructions which I so appreciate. I'm trying to do something similar. However, I'd also like to smooth out some of the signature lines and make them "even" where the signature line is fainter in some places. Is there a way to do that in addition to what was done in this video?
You could change the detection mode in the Trace Bitmap dialog to Centreline tracing (Auto trace) which will try to draw a path along the centre of the line of your writing (Note: this uses a different algorythm, so there won't be a preview). It's likely there will be some defects in the trace so you will need to use the nodes tool to correct them. You could then use the power stroke LPE to adjust the line width or convert the stroke to a path (Path - Stroke to Path) and the use the tweek tool or nodes tool to adjust to your liking. I guess you are using a multi colour scan. click on 'remove background' should get rid of it (it will remove the bottom layer which should be the lightest colour)
Hello, sorry for my english, I use a translator! Thanks for all you do!! I wanted to ask if there is an extension or method to do something like what you use in this video (ua-cam.com/video/9YWeWPmIiNw/v-deo.html) with coreldraw at 6:48pm to 6:58pm. It looks like "move on the path" But it doesn't...because it does NOT warp objects!! It's something like the "scatter" extension... Can you help me in any way? Greetings David
I haven't watch the video right through, but another way to add objects to a path without warping the shape is to use markers. The video below might be helpful, not one of mine unfortunately: m.ua-cam.com/video/_Ov18JoSsso/v-deo.html Let me know if it helps
Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem.... I need something that takes a group of objects and puts them on a path! Unfortunately I haven't found an inkscape extension that does this yet! Thanks again!
I just found out middle mouse click on a color will create a stroke on the object as well
I'll give that a try, I used your suggested method in this video, using 'Make Bitmap Copy" works a treat, thanks again for pointing that out.
Your tutorial was easy to learn from.
Thanks - will watch more from your channel.
Glad it was helpful!
So glad I found this. Just what I needed. Thanks very much.
You're welcome!
Neat trick to separate, there is a User Assist tick box allows you to isolate part of a pic for tracing too!
Good point, I've always found the results of the User Assisted Trace a little unpredictable, but it might work well for this. Thanks
Absolutely awesome! Thank you so much 🙏🏻
You're welcome!
Thank you mate i did my homework thanks to you🙏
