31:17 …. It took me over an hour figuring finally figuring out those pieces and getting them in… I went outside for a smoke, reflected on all of my life choices… came back inside googled it and found this video. Bless your heart for saving me, I hope you are doing well 9 years later as posting this video!
i just got mine and i love it . its a project im taking my time with this thing is no joke! i built PG Strike Gundam and the PG unicorn is WAY WAY WAY more than that.
In my apartment, feeding the video to my tv. Sitting down with some macadamias, cans of cola and three friends who have never seen me build my gunpla. And after 5:00, everyone is eyes glued to the tv. I'm just sitting there with my mouth agape and Nick exclaims "Smexy. Where can I get one". I tell him they aren't coming anywhere near here for another month, and they're going to cost upwards of $250. Next words out of his mouth are "Shut the front door. I want one" ! Lucky I know how to gunpla. Might get the gang back together to help me build mine.
cool! your friends really got interested in building gunpla, i think it's the first step to building more in the future great job introducing gunpla, m8
Your lucky I'm the only one who loves Gunpla and watch anime, so I'm in this hobby alone.... sigh!! But that means having fun building - but here in NZ they cost around 70.00+ for MG kits and nearly 350.00 for PG!! Which means saving like a beast to afford one!!
Henri Yeung True very expensive as a hobby, but tools, kit and models can cost an arm and a leg!! I find it easier to import them overseas - far cheaper too!! I'm East side Aucks!!
I recently build the HG unicorn mode version and panel lined it purple. I would do the same to this and paint the psycho frame purple too then leave it in unicorn mode
oh it's sylinder hell joints... i had quite a hard time for putting joints like in the other PG kits too, so i feel your pain, Syd but the joint gimmicks in this PG is quite remarkable, i must say
I've got time a proposal: If you have trouble reading the numbers on the frames, but once you try the following: Go gently with a Gundam marker on the numbers and letters fields and lift them so forth. If done correctly, you should then the numbers will better recognize, especially on the psycho frames.
im using the manual and all. but when I dot to the arm joints, (or pegs for the torso) HOW DID YOU HET THE LOCK-ON PIECE IN ITS SO FRIKIN HARD I NEED HELP PLZ HELP
Oh damn, does that look so good! Looks the white armor cover the psycho frame perfectly, is that true when you have the torso or any other in hand? If all the white armor parts are underrated then that makes top coating the decals so much easier. You can topcoat the armor while its still on the runner. And I can see Bandai doing a release of titanium finish with Unicorn and/ or the Banshee. And you won't have any gate marks!!
Question! I've built a few basic gundam/armored core model kits in the past and they all had the tendency to fall apart with time. I was wondering if its a good idea to glue the joint pieces (not the actual joints themselves) to the model when you're assembling it so that they won't pop off a month later or break
+Jesse Billingsley Most Gundam kits these days are so well designed with such a precise fit that parts coming off is almost a thing of the past, however some of the kotobukiya models will have that issue and cementing things down will definitely take that worry away.
+Setiawan Liem This is the hardest part of the build. You need to have the wire doubled over and inserted as far as it can go in the very narrow space that is provided for it. That's the only way to get the back armour pieces to fit in place properly. It may take a few times to get it right.
Is there an easy way to get that arm on i am stuck trying to get the joint on. I got lucky the first one but second one i cant seem to get to work. Do u have any advice. Its the Q15 part for the torso. I cant go further till i get the other one on there.
yeah, im getting tired of people bitchin' around how it's just a scaled-up MG. i bet most of those people never really build the PG, otherwise they might have a different opinion...
haykalgundamn Yeah. Not to mention, the PGs are ALWAYS very similar to their RG and MG equivalents. I dunno what people were expecting. :P I think there're enough differences to keep the build enjoyable, despite the fact that I've built three Unicorns already.
haykalgundamn PG's are a joy to build and the options/depictions of how you want to present your kit is endless - I've yet to complete my third one; time and life controlling me at the moment!!
Hey guys, I could use a little help finding where to order parts for my pg wing gundam zero custom that I have lost. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated please and thank you.
Hi HLJ. I wanna work in your company. I am super fan of gunpla building. And I honestly will say that I still got a lot of trainings to do. But no matter what it takes. I am super willing to be trained like even without getting salary till I learn the business. By the I'm from Philippines.
An undergate is when the gates you cut of the plastic parts are behind the plastic parts so when you cut it, the nubs will be hard to see infront. This is a good thing because I do not want to have to spend 5 minutes just to sand a nub mark.
i just pass that 15:09 and believe it or not... i need a hammer to lock it into place! well, i painted the part though so maybe the thickness cause the part to be hard to work with.

It's such a project, but it feels great to finish something like this!
This is so awesome. I definitely have to get this pg unicorn

Jiraiya_Ero_Sannin Agreed, they're just that wrong side of costly. It's almost anywhere, but cost is a small issue.
Jiraiya_Ero_Sannin Hey, from NZ as well! I know right... the kits are so expensive.
Henri Yeung True very expensive as a hobby, but tools, kit and models can cost an arm and a leg!! I find it easier to import them overseas - far cheaper too!! I'm East side Aucks!!

and if it not go with a gundam marker, try it with a soft pencil.
This is fucking brilliant. Where were you when I was building my MG Unicorn? :P
At Home? xD
You are one lucky guy, you get the PG unicorn early and get paid to build it ,that's what I cal the sweet life
im using the manual and all. but when I dot to the arm joints, (or pegs for the torso) HOW DID YOU HET THE LOCK-ON PIECE IN ITS SO FRIKIN HARD I NEED HELP PLZ HELP
Late, but did you happen to get it?
Oh damn, does that look so good! Looks the white armor cover the psycho frame perfectly, is that true when you have the torso or any other in hand?

having problem trying to fit the last part of this video. i have the leds. the back cover wont fit nicely. any idea?

Still having issues? I found a way
@darkwingerx20
Still stuck at Q15 part
Any tips?
Well, I guess we can rest assured with the knowledge that it isn't just a scaled-up MG unicorn. Pretty damn similar, though...
yeah, im getting tired of people bitchin' around how it's just a scaled-up MG.

where can you buy all of the LED for this?
Hey guys, I could use a little help finding where to order parts for my pg wing gundam zero custom that I have lost. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated please and thank you.
Most excellent mr syd, keep them coming, make Ryan do some work too! Lol.
Might have to order 2 PGs..... 1 for unicorn, 1 for NT-D.... BANDAI!!!!
Would really love if theres a green psychoframe version.
Well you can paint it
ojakoo but then you can't use the LED. If you just go on ahead and paint the psychoframe clear green, the result would be fugly.
There is an aftermarket Green Psychoframe on the works and it seems that it might come in other colors! Samueldecals.
Oh there is a green frame version, but guess what. P-BANDAI -_-
For some reason my spycho frame chest won't close, does anyone know why?
first use of being able to play a video at 2x speed...helps a lot lol
Can you zoom in closer on the small parts too far to see what your doing

time to save a lot of money
Syd has to build a joint does this means he smokes pot
SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your so lucky...
am i the only one who do all the nub marks including those invisible
Yes even on the black plastic
What's an undergate?
An undergate is when the gates you cut of the plastic parts are behind the plastic parts so when you cut it, the nubs will be hard to see infront. This is a good thing because I do not want to have to spend 5 minutes just to sand a nub mark.
Undergate? PG Unicorn Gundam Titanium Finish is going to be real
That or P-Bandai Phenex.
Might be a dumb question but what's the benefit or purpose of the undergate?
No LED light?? Why not?? I really think you should put LED light on PG unicorn
0.0 its undergated i smell a pg unicorn 03 phenex lol
I can't seem to cut my self as a cat cuts me first
i just pass that 15:09 and believe it or not... i need a hammer to lock it into place! well, i painted the part though so maybe the thickness cause the part to be hard to work with.
I like it but do not have more money to buy 55555
oUi
This is so awesome. I definitely have to get this pg unicorn
