  • Experts say more Americans are skipping out on car payments, with many facing repossession. These tips can help you from falling behind.
The nightmare of losing their car is becoming a harsh reality for many U.S. families. After tumbling during the pandemic, the rate of Americans who are at least 60 days overdue on their auto loans has risen nearly 18% from 2022. The same right for subprime borrowers is up nearly 40% in the last two years.
Repo agencies says they've seen nearly triple the number of bank notes presented to them for repossession. With inflation driving up the price of fuel, food and other essentials, many people can't keep up with their car payment. The average monthly payment for a new car loan is over $700, driven by rising interest rates and inflation.

😂😂😂 “Skipping out” No, it’s a choice between food, keeping a roof over your head and keeping your sanity. Gas and vehicle maintenance are OUTRAGEOUS. The end of the year last year $300 battery, $700 for tires, that had become dangerous, grateful I had some help with those two. $80 oil changes. Forget about it if you have major issues. Oh…and I’m 56 and paying $170 a month car insurance on top of an almost $500 car payment for a car the transmission is acting up in. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Good times.

I have three old cars 2001, 2001 and 2005 and they all run like gem 💎 cars today are way overpriced and basically made of plastic and cheap metal.. so if you get in accidents it’s likely totaled. And it’s Win-Win situation for insurance companies and dealers to sell you new car.

I still have my 82 S-10 and it still runs like new. No complicated computers, no plastic. I wouldn't have to worry about no EMP to disable my truck. I'm never getting rid of that truck

I’m two months behind on truck thanks to being layed off from union work. I currently sit each night waiting but talk to g BFF and paying 100 a day when I work. They don’t care neither does American as they allow illegals to come take basic jobs I’m sick of it
