Maya: nCloth, Nucleus and Scale

  • If you throw a blanket onto a chair and the same material, only 4x4 cm wide, on a pen on your desk, the cloth falls, lands and settles differently. This has many implications on nCloth, nHair etc. simulations in Maya. The main parameters are the scene scale and the Nucleus scale. Let's try a few things out...

      Ive been using Vray in cm units since forever, and only just today found this nucleus in meters bullshit. Stupid Maya.

    Maya ... thanks Autodesk ... the default unit is centimeter. Maya 2022 is slow anyway does not makes any difference to me if I set it to 1 or 0.01 in the nucleus
