A cozy day on the farm❣️ Sweeping snow, a free-running Elvis, feeding the cows, fixing things and a sweet Winston who has grown quite a bit. I love freshly fallen snow everywhere. In addition wonderful sunshine - heart, what more could you desire? ☀️😊 Relaxing and nice video, Chris. 😎👍
Love how your voice changes based on what's happening. Normal tone to talk to us, little higher pitch and softer tone explaining the situation then peckerhead talk with Elvis.
We had cows for 6-7 years . Dumb as dirt poop machines but very affectionate. We had one named Susie that somehow missed getting polled so had horns and she loved having her forehead scratched. Unfortunately for us her horns were dangerous, LOL. She being so dumb didn't understand . Never got run through the hand or face but had a few close calls. The only sure fire way to get them to come to us was fresh cut lawn grass then they would come running like a stampede. They looked like drooling zombies when we mowed the yard. LOL
Hey Chris, watching you chase the "GRASS PUPPY" around , was worth the price of admission, and then you throw in "ELVIS HAS LEFT THE PEN", and I'm still laughing while typing this "COME HERE PECKER HEAD". I believe that is the "FUNNIEST" thing I've heard you say on your channel. Hell I'm still laughing!!!!!!! Thanks my brother for your STAND UP COMEDY act. Have a good one: }

It really surprises me that you don’t have your own low boy or your own pub trailer for the transporting equipment. That little kubota and that little bale spike is so cute. 18 bales is how many i put on my little trailer but there 1,000 pound square bales so a little more weight. It makes me feel good that you have cover for your cattle somewhere for them to get out of the weather.
Have you ever considered using a round bale unroller? The farm I used to manage had 35 head of cattle and we originally used round bales in a ring which as you know makes a big muddy and poopy mess around it with hay getting wasted not to mention the rings frozen in the ground when you want to move them, we got a bale unroller attachment and it worked great, less wasted hay, less mess because the hay was spread out over a large area and no bale rings to mess with.
As a farmer, I have to agree with you 100% about the hay spear. It is the best money you’ll ever spend. Especially if you’re like me, feeding all round bales.
Another great video Chris and I liked it went to Elvis ventured out of the pen and went wandering around in the yard you ever notice it’s always the old Bull that wants to get out and go wander around but anyway brother you and John and yawls family stay safe and keep the videos coming can’t wait to see you next venture
I feel bad. As soon as you started to describe taking a look at the valve on the excavator I knew what was coming and I couldn't help but laugh. I am very glad that you had your sunglasses on and that you didn't get hurt. I think you got a bit ahead of yourself with that problem, but it is great that you have it worked out. I enjoy your videos and your great attitude. Cheers!
You have the same problem I did. The worry that a cow would get out during feeding. I've also had then escape. Maybe something to look into they offer drive through Gates. Looks like 2 fiberglass poles that are electrified and are on return springs so they self close.
Where I'm at, it's like we got all the snow we missed this winter in two days. We got snow 6-8 inches in the last two days, while the whole winter had maybe 5.
@@tonyflying1550 That's $1.79 for "red" off road diesel. Construction equip doesn't run on the roads, so isn't penalized with the road taxes. You can't use it in a vehicle or haul truck etc. But still cheap, especially with the libs about to destroy the fossil fuel industry in the US.
For 1.79 it might be worth getting a farm tank for that price lol. Auto diesel is 2.59 here. That's probably off road at 1.79 still cheap. Stoney ridge farmer says if you roll your hay out you don't get all the mud and the cattle stomp the seed into the ground and you put nutrients and seed for grass into the ground. FYI Not everybody needs to feed a whole bail at once though. Cool video Chris I enjoy the witty and humorous comments .
What about a head go-pro so you are hands free. Ron Pratt in MO. Recking recovery company uses one. California gas hasn't been below $3 seems like years. Beautiful farm. All my relatives live in South Carolina. You are a true artist with your equipment.
Winston is getting so big. And so are the cows. But damn. Fuel prices there are cheap. Unleaded gas here in northern New York, close to the Canadian boarder, is between $2.49 and $2.69/gallon, and diesel is about the same. Not sure how much off-road diesel is. Glad that you got the problem with your excavator fixed, and that you were wearing some sort of eye protection. Hopefully you'll have a good week, and warmer weather.
Damn, on road fuel in back up to almost $3/gallon up in Maine. offroad is about 30 cents cheaper at the gas station I can get it from. Everything's been going up about 10 cents a week
Hmmm, Elvis fillet steak, cracked pepper and salt on the BBQ, medium well with garlic mashed potatoes and a couple of cold Cervesas. That would have been really good today as we have a heat wave going on here in Perth Western Australia, got to 40C.😀👍🍺🍺🇦🇺
Absolutely love your channel. That big a$$ Volvo excavator is BEAUTIFUL!! Only get enough first cut hay to make it to second or third cut. Your cows will love you for it.
Interesting siphon technique. I read that swearing was a sign of intelligence and after I watched your earlier video of taking down an oak tree with wires running through it I thought this guy is a genius.
Well don't feel bad Chris we got 10 inches of snow here in Chicago Sunday morning February is around the corner maybe be warmer than but January is the last day January we get snow 10 inches of snow
I would have never guessed that's how you start a pond siphon, thanks for showing that part of your project.
Great that you can wrench your own equipment and look after it. Very respectable keep it up Chris 👌👌
Winston thinks the Snow ❄️ is Great and so is his Dad. He is quite the faithful companion. 😬👍

A man who appears to truly love his craft. I love that.
Aww. Winston seems unsure. My girl loves chasing the snow.
Elvis the cow reminded me of a stubborn 3 year old toddler!!!!😄😄😄😄

Chris you are a bloody legend! Thank you for all your fantastic videos, love your work. Greetings from Australia 🤠
That's snowman and snowball snow! Winston is getting tall.
🐾Winston is such a good boy! 🐾
Love the videos of Winston and your farm.
Winston don’t know what to think about that snow ❄️ lol
Gotta love the stubborn cow! 😄 My grandson wants a dalmatian like Winston! You need a fire hose and pumper to wash the machinery off! 😁✌️
After Elvis left the pen I thought you would be showing us your grill and dinner!!!!
Everything looks so beautiful, here in new york we EXPECTING snow today.
I used to get up at 4 am. I don’t miss it.
I thought 5:25 was early, 4am? NO way
I just wish I could get to sleep to wake up at all
4 inches for you in NC, and 12+ for us up in Connecticut. started snowing about 3am monday morning not supposed to stop until later afternoon tuesday.
"Elvis has left the building" 🐃 😁
Yes fuel is going up and .40 cents per gallon makes a difference.! Nice to use the trailer for bales and it can hold a lot of weight.
I have a hay spear, just because it looks cool on my tractor. Unicorn, baby!
Your house looks good with the snow on the roof
Welcome to the Yankee worldo of snow. Beautiful dog decked out in his winter camo. lol
Your fellow Carolinian Meredith Bernard- this farm Wife can teach you everything there is to know about MUD in a barn lot!

In Ohio the ODNR has a hissy-fit if there are trees on dam embankments. Surprised that NC allows on some of these larger lakes.

What a beautiful dog love seeing Winston don't put snow on that baby you bad
A $1,79 I would be filling every container jar cup
That’s cheap gas. We pay about $6.00
@@tonyflying1550 Would that be Europe or California?
Michigan diesal is around $2.79
Same here, I'd probably hunt up another tank just to fill it.

Mighty handsome puppy
A happy and cute doggy, but maybe
a little afraid of the snowfall from the trailer.
Chris: Hey Elvis, C'mon peckerhead I got the feed wagon !
Elvis: THAnk YoUU..., THank YoUU Very Muchhhhh
Lmaoooo good one. Lol
second time slipping and falling in the mud going down the back of a dam is twice as funny as the first time.
Dont blame you. I've got 100 gal tank, do the very same thing everytime it's cheaper. Got to save a $ when you can. Enjoy the vids.
Thank God you didn't get any in your eyes. Enjoyed the video Chris. God Bless you and the family.
Beautiful shot the color is great cris, crisp, sunshine you have a great day, keep watching always LetDig18 say hey to Tim and Justin for me .
That’s a good thing buying while it’s still cheap cause it is going to go up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
"Had to get the side by side" Yeah i was not thinking that was a feed wagon lol
Me either lol Just last week my wife used the 4 wheeler to get one back in. He didn’t want to move so she ran into him. Then he moved.
My neighbors cows are programmed the same way. I pulled my UTV up by their fence and the cows came running up.
Now you got two spares. The one you thought was bad is still good.

He says he wants to go check things out in the neighborhood!😁
Grass puppies!!😂🤗
Nice house you got there I hope you enjoy the snow
You had me laughing at the cows.
You got more snow than we did in the Triad area. We may have got about an inch and half, two inches maybe.
The first tank of off road diesel I ever purchased when I was clearing lots for St Lawrence Homes was .65 cents per gallon !
I was paying 54 cents for it in Oregon, AH the good ole days!
I remember it being 16 cent/gallon

Dyed diesel is $1 a Litre here in Canada.
Like $3.55/ gallon exchange
I got forks on the front of my kabuto & a set on the back of it ,put out 4 bales a week for 60 head of cattle
Hey "Pecker Head" had me rolling. My uncles used to use that all the time when I was a kid.
Oh boy. Another pond project.
Coming from a eastern european country where people still use really outdated tractors, the amount of farming equipment is really impressive

You did not expect Elvis to exit when you left the gate open? Come on Chris. lol
that’s Mr. Peckerhead to you, hooman.
Must be nice, northern Illinois, about 2 1/2 more months left of winter. So done with winters! 55 years of this and I just can’t take it no more! LOL!
The one time you actually do your Timmay impression and it didn’t even make the video! I for one think you owe us a full on slip and fall in the mud.
I love the names of you bovine pets! The PG ones, at least 😂🤣
Beautiful place you have. Dog is gorgeous.
I’d be calling Elvis dinner if I had to chase him to long. 😂👍🏻

1.79 wow just paid 2.65 for diesel yesterday. 60 degrees yesterday looks like I need to relocate
Chris, can you disassemble the failed valve and see if it's something that can be cleared out ?
Elvis seems to be a PITA. Good thinking on the feed wagon. Of course like the Kioti 👌
You just love playing with your BIG tinker toys! 🤣
If Elvis keeps getting out are you going to invite him to "DINNER"! 🤣👀
As you was opening the gate I thought this must have a spring to close itself .keep from getting out
I have todo the same thing with my toddler most nights you had to do with your Elvis! 😁
my dogs when I throw snowballs...they run and get them and bite them up lol
Love the name for the cows ( grass puppies)
The hydraulic storey put a chill down my spine
