Seriously! The best thing was the Iwatch 4 and the X Max versions that actually made the biggest change to Apple to date. Now all they have is reused “newer” models with what “ a better camera” (shocker) and a compass and always on display that will drain your battery. Apple really disappointed this year. First year I won’t upgrade.
Why would I want an always on display? I like that my series 4 turns off when I’m not looking to avoid ppl looking at my watch screen. Keeps it more private.

I bought the series 4 about 3 months ago and it’s amazing. With the 5 though I am absolutely flabbergasted at how they could not come up with anything new to put in the watch so they only branded it with a feature that could have been done with a software update. I think if Apple can’t come up with something actually that new or worth an upgrade in abouts to the series of watch or phone then there is nothing wrong with taking an extra year or even two to come up with an actually new forward thinking product. Being rich off their ass already I guess is not good enough grounds to give up yearly flex bucks though.

In the apple store I realized the 5 is slightly dimmer than the 4 at max brightness. One employee said its because its a demo & sometimes demos are limited but that doesn’t make sense because the hardware should be the same. Can you tell if it is any dimmer?

I went to the Apple store yesterday to get the series 5, because I was looking forward for it. I’m not sure if it was the lighting in the store but I didn’t find the always on display very useful as it was very dull so I decided to stay with my series 4.

I have an elderly mom who lives and travels independently so the "free" international SOS feature with the cellular model is a must have. I don't need to activate the watch with any carrier but can still be rest assured that if she fell or needed to call SOS/911 for any reason then its there right on her wrist. If anyone has an elderly parent get the cellular model for sure, it will be a life saver... the I've fallen and I can't get up scenario is very real and happen at any time.
To my surprise, the display on series 4 lights up right after being clicked on. However it takes significantly longer for a Series 5 switching its screen from dimmed to normal.
I have both if you have anything less than a 4 there is no need to upgrade the series 5 is better than the 4 in everyway but I guess it’s a personal choice.

I preordered Series 5 and got it on the 1st day and I'm really happy with it. It's an upgrade to my Series 0 (generation 1, first Apple Watch), and I can say it was totally worth the upgrade. If I had Series 4 I would probably wait for Series 7 with the new design. Series 6 will probably be the same design with 4 and 5.
Actually it seems like a reasonable price considering how much specs apple put into this watch also there are watches normal gold watches or silver etc that are worth like 2-5k no joke more expensive than apple watches id say apple watches are cheaper compared to those 3-5k dollar watches
I have the same dilemma and I'm really in-between the always on feature on the 5 (and I hold beverage in one hand, cigarette in the other often when I want to check the time/notification, so always on display is something I could really use) and the sapphire crystal on the SS series 4... can't make up my mind! I do think series 4 is gonna win in the end though, my series 3 aluminum got micro scratches pretty quickly (only visible in harsh lighting, by I'm accustomed to pristine crystals on my traditional watches).
You never answered why you bought the same exact band that you already have 0:54 . If the bands are interchangable, why wouldn't you get something different??? It's not like you would be wearing them at the same time. Maybe send it back or exchange it, this way you can switch it up once in a while. Either way, thanks for the review/video, well done.
Did you actually test battery life with display always on or off? You made several statements how it’s unaffected by display and better then in series 4, but there are a lot of reports stating otherwise.

You put that band on wrong. The part that you use to adjust goes at the bottom so it’s not pulling against your wrist when you wear it

Would you buy a stainless steel series 4 or a series 5 gps aluminum if they cost the same?
I have the same dilemma and I'm really in-between the always on feature on the 5 (and I hold beverage in one hand, cigarette in the other often when I want to check the time/notification, so always on display is something I could really use) and the sapphire crystal on the SS series 4... can't make up my mind! I do think series 4 is gonna win in the end though, my series 3 aluminum got micro scratches pretty quickly (only visible in harsh lighting, by I'm accustomed to pristine crystals on my traditional watches).
So how long is the battery last?
Isn't all watch faces are available to every apple watches?

You never answered why you bought the same exact band that you already have 0:54 . If the bands are interchangable, why wouldn't you get something different??? It's not like you would be wearing them at the same time. Maybe send it back or exchange it, this way you can switch it up once in a while. Either way, thanks for the review/video, well done.
He said it looks amazing with the stainless steel, and thats his prefrence, he really like that band.

The most important reason is for double the memory! Always on is dumb ... I have it turned off.

Did you actually test battery life with display always on or off? You made several statements how it’s unaffected by display and better then in series 4, but there are a lot of reports stating otherwise.
