    I got mine in 2022, and it's still my weapon of choice. Also got the old signature yngwie dimarzio pickups and replaced them with the duncans. Great guitar mate, enjoy!

      Thank you! I also have a partcaster with the Dimarzio HS3, but I think I'll leave it in to have its older sound, which I really like. It's nice to hear that everyone is very pleased with their Fender YJM

      @@AMFguitarchannel I just purchased a 1993 made in Japan malmsteen fender. It was kiko loureiro’s from Megadeth his personal Stratocaster. I have his flight case with his name on it.. kiko’s letterhead and signature.
      I bought it on Reverb.. and he actually texted me and said it was his personal Guitar. He put it on Reverb in 2020 I just got it about three months ago. I’m very happy myself with it. 🙏

    Congratulations on your new guitar! That was my dream guitar too, and I bought one a few years ago, so I can totally relate to how you must feel right now. I hope you have a truckload of fun with it! You may have to deal with the slippery high E string, as the vintage bridge is just a bit too wide for the neck (unless they've changed the specifications; mine was from 2014), which can be annoying. You could shift the neck a little or just change the bridge. Callaham Guitars makes a slightly narrower vintage bridge/tremolo.

      thank you man, I really like the guitar, I played it all day yesterday, luckily I don't have that problem with the E string jumping away. I already had a partcaster with a scalloped neck and vintage trem, so I think I'm already quite used to it, but thanks for the tips! Glad to hear that you too have your dream guitar, how do you like it after having it for a number of years?

      @AMFguitarchannel I will always consider the YJM Strat as one of my personal favorites. I now also have a Squier Strat that I bought for a rather low price. The previous owner had already had the fretboard scalloped and changed the pickups to the older Yngwie DiMarzio's (as you know, the current YJM Strats have the Seymour Duncan YJM Fury pickups). I had it further enhanced by taking it to my luthier friend, who changed the fret wire to Jescar EVO Gold (sadly, this amazing fret wire has been discontinued). He also changed the bridge/trem to a better one by Gotoh and replaced the tuners with locking ones. Additionally, I designed custom decals to replace the originals.
      The buying price of the YJM Strat is not what is expensive; the expensive part is getting addicted to scalloped fretboards, as I now only have scalloped guitars. Yes, even my (electro)acoustic guitar has a scalloped fretboard. I just love the feel of being able to really grab those notes, and I have always played with a very light touch, so it comes naturally to me.

      nice to hear, I recognize myself in this and am also a bit addicted to the scalloped Fredboard and have a mighty Mite Partcaster with scalloped neck Dimarzio HS3 elements Fender vintage tremolo and Sperzel locking tuners and that guitar has been my guitar for the past 10 years. Been #1 so I'm curious if the fender yjm will change this. Playing the guitar can be an expensive hobby, but it is totally worth it!
      I will soon make a video about whether my partcaster holds up against the fender and which one I like best at that moment.

      @AMFguitarchannel As a side note, I recommend giving the Yngwie strings a try. That certain German music store also sells a cheaper string set with the same gauges: 8-11-14-22-32-46. Additionally, try tuning half a step down, just like Yngwie does (to me it feels like the scale length of the Stratocaster makes Eb tuning feel more natural.)

      thanks for the tips, they are always welcome! I tried the 08 set but didn't like it at the time. I have been using 09/46 for a long time now, but I will definitely try the 08 set again on this guitar and of course in EB tuning :)

      @@AMFguitarchannel They are all strat style bodies with various hardware installed. I'm really partial to brass saddles and all brass tremolos on my builds. Of course they all feature 22 fret necks since I don't get along with a 21 fret neck. The scallop jobs go between custom Warmoth necks to hand scalloped jobs that were done by various luthiers.

      Cool, man if you put them together yourself, you can make them any way you want. I have a Partcaster with a Mighty Mite 22 fret scalloped neck that I have played for more than 10 years, so with this new guitar I also have to get used to 21 frets.

    • @AMFguitarchannel
      @AMFguitarchannel  2 місяці тому

      thank you. the desk is actually a second-hand dining table with cheap speaker foam on it. The office chair is an old chair from my father's office from which I removed the armrest. I had a computer built by someone 4 years ago with what were the best parts at the time, but I am not familiar with that, but I know that it is 32 GB and has a good sound card. All in all this is actually a cheap setup but it works fine for me.
