Amazing! In TN, NC & FL I always caught ruddy bowfin so eyetail is definitely on my bucket list! In FL & NC I can absolutely confirm any bowfin will be ruddy bowfin; they’re super easy to catch on the exact setup you are using here! I find creeks throughout places such as Holly Springs NC hold plentiful populations of ruddy bowfin, longnose gar, and several Catfish species. Great video!
Thank you and appreciate the support! I’ll have to get down South sometime to knock out the Ruddy Bowfin and some other awesome species! The Southeast is the most species diverse area when it comes to fish in the U.S!
Yeah growing up I always associated otters with clean water free of pollutants and the Delaware River doesn’t really match that description, but glad to see there’s some around!
Yup you’re right. Turtle after turtle and you start feeling like all hope is lost, but thankfully I was able to wait it out and at least get one bowfin on the bank lol
This spot is slightly north of Swedesboro NJ. That should put you on the right track. But pretty much any Marshy creek near the Delaware river in that area has a possibility for Bowfin
@@Chris_McGarrigle You could probably find it on Fishbrain. If you go to the map feature you can set a filter on fish species . If you select bowfin it will only show catches labeled as Bowfin in that area. Although some posts may be private location-wise

What creek system are you fishing?
This is a network of creeks that ultimately leads to the Delaware River through Repaupo Creek
Where is this fishing spot I’ve been itching to catch a bowfin I tried that place in Trenton but it’s very ghetto and idk if I’m gonna go back there
