I don't quite understand the comments about Tiger. He's only played three times this year and missed the cut by just two shots. To put that in perspective, Tiger shot +7 and Scottie shot +5, making the cut right on the number. Tiger played well enough to make the cut, but the tricked-out greens and crazy rough were tough to overcome. Despite that, he still outperformed full-time players like Glover, Bennie An, JT, Sungjae Im, DJ, Jason Day, Fowler, Hoge, Willie Z, and others. Players you guys probably lost money on. Not bad for a guy with zero prep time. The conversation should be about how Tiger showed up and outperformed all those guys. This event made a lot of players look silly, but Woods showed up with no prep and barely missed the cut. I don't know what alternate reality some people are living in, but in the real world, that's pretty impressive. He hit almost 80% of fairways, his irons were a bit off, but it was hard to tell with the tricked-out greens not rewarding good approaches. His putting was fine. He looked great and would have been in contention on any other course. That's why he was so upset in the interview after his round. We had another chance to see a living legend up close. We don’t know how many more times we will see Tiger, but let’s cherish every moment. Tiger has nothing else to prove; his key records (683 - 142 - 82 - 15) will stand the test of time. Let's just be grateful that we can still witness the GOAT swing a golf club one more time. I'm looking forward to The Open. If he drives the ball and plays as well as he did this week, he might be in contention and will definitely make the cut.
@@Muzicmr112 I was replying to Tambo’s comment about everyone having Tiger fatigue and how they both were implying that Tiger played another terrible round and probably should not have showed up. I may have been a bit long winded but I just wanted to set the record straight and highlight that he actually played great considering the zero prep time and the tricked-out course. It’s also worth mentioning that he outplayed a ton of guys that play every week. Give credit where credit is due. Some of you guys act like a bunch of giddy teenagers at a Taylor Swift concert every time the Shuffler hit a simple wedge shot into the green. You guys seem to only look at Tiger from a betting perspective but you have to remember that if not for him the golf world as we know it would not exist. I will always call you out when you don’t give the GOAT the acknowledgment and respect that he deserves.
Tennessee native here, can confirm Nashville is awesome. Most Tennesseeans doesn’t count Memphis as part of TN, so we are golf starved. I can imagine the crowds will be massive
