Just gonna clarify how momentum breaks *usually* work in 2:27 . The clip used wasn't the best since I was in a rush and I only use clips from actual duels. The way momentum breaks work is that you jump at your opponent and disable their shield while you are falling into them (which I did), this makes it so when you are autohit (which the guy tried to do but missed) you dont take much knockback and can follow up with a crit since you are really close. But yea its rly good cuz it not only gets you a crit but you mess up the other person's spacing.

I think I use stun but im not completly sure lol, however the s-baits are something I do when I'm low. I also really like backstabs but aren't very good at them yet..
The best way to describe the sham is a version of the backstab that you use to counter attack. It is best at countering pcrits, quick shield disables, and stuns. The way you use the move to counter the pcrit and stun is the same. When you are pcritted or stunned, you will take knock back, when you land after being knocked back you should immediately jump almost through them, and then turn around and hit them while still mid air (aka doing a backstab). Countering stuns with the sham is risky because it can be countered by good spacing and can be predicted. however shamming a stun can be rewarding because it can mess up the other player. The final use of the sham (and my favorite) is to counter when an opponent disables your shield by quick shielding. The moment your shield is disabled by quick shielding, you backstab them. This is so effective because your opponent is shielding after performing a quick shield, because your opponent is shielding they will have an even smaller window to hit you out of the air (by performing a weak hit) because they will have to not only figure out you are shamming them, but also unshield before finally being able to hit you. You also don’t have to worry about being countered by spacing when shamming a quick shield disable because you are not being knocked away (as you would be by a stun) so you are almost guaranteed to be able to jump behind them. Hope that helps

When w tapping to you lift off w the exact moment you click or you lift off after clicking (not axe related question but it’s sword related so still related to axe & shield PvP lol) 2. Do you kb attack or normal attack when doing swaeshy?
1. Between kb attack and normal attack, I almost always pick kb attack in any scenario, if you hit someone regularly, you will get pcritted by any decent player 9/10 times, even if your spacing is good. Meanwhile if you sprint hit they won’t be able to pcrit if your spacing is good. Kb attack is especially important and sweashys because you are very close to them when you hit them, so if you don’t sprint hit them they will be able to hit you back
I love the fake crossbow load. It's something I do a lot and can catch literally anyone off guard. I thought it was something kind of unique to me that I figured out on accident, but I guess people found out about it around the same time too! good video btw, but your fps seems a bit low in some clips
Yea, the fake crossbow load is rly useful and commonly used, but knowing when to use it, how to time it so it looks like you are genuinly about to load your crossbow/jumping away half a second before your opponent loads their crossbow and shoots, and knowing which way to dodge makes all of the difference
@@Leaferton there is another method with the fake cb, but it's when you know ur opponent has a unloaded crossbow or they already shot an arrow, but their reaction is always when u load a cb, they will too, and if they turn around and start loading it, with good aim u can start bowing them down, which is another good strat

Leaf I got one more question: for swaeshy do you walk thru the enemy and attack when your inside them or when your behind them? Does attacking when your inside them work?
From my experience, they both work, however attacking while inside your opponent can be risky. When you attack inside your opponent, it means that you are just barely past your opponent's center, meaning the hit registers as an attack from behind. This can be risky because if you attack even a little too early, you will disable their shield. Attacking through your opponent can still be blocked by turning around, so the main advantage the move gives you is speed. In my opinion, the best time to attack while running through them is when they are shielding and walking (or better, shield dancing) towards you because they will have very little time to react. Waiting until you turn around does give your opponent a little bit more time to react, but if timed right it can still be hard to counter and is more consistent than just being inside. So unless your opponent is running into you while shielding (and mainly when they are shielding dancing or they jump at you and shield) I would advise to wait until you turn around. Try just using both in axe que (and also against decent players) to get a feel for the scenarios in which each is better
If your only getting worse than take a break and try to figure out what you are doing wrong (for example, I used to record my games against good players and would watch them to see what I was doing wrong)
@@Airsurfer-uw3jg if you look more at their feet while auto hitting you’ll have a higher chance of countering. Usually the best way to counter stuns is to not be predictable with your shielding since you should only really shield to block a genuine hit so if you’re getting stunned a lot that means you should work on your shield usage
if somebody likes to autohit and run, use Momentum breaks to disable their shield so that you are close enough that even when you get autohit, you'll still be so close that you get an easy crit on them. Quick shielding is good against people on high ping, stuns rely on knockback and high ping players take wierd knockback, while quick shielding is great against high ping players as high ping player's delay will give you extra time for your shield to register when quick shielding to disable their shield (it also can be used if you think a player is going to try to pcrit your hit) s bait is basically a juke, you make your opponent think you are going to try to hit them (causing them to move and try to hit you, preferebly having them jump at you), then you hold s for half a second to dodge their hit, and then be able to hit/crit them back Sword main is when you switch to sword, sword depletes your opponents health the fastest but it is risky as it can be countered by: shielding, pcrits, crossbow, good spacing, and many other factors. However if you manage to either get in close, catch your opponent without their shield or crossbow, mess up your opponents spacing, or they just mess up, you will most likely be free to melt the players health with sword maining (usually comboing or crit spamming)
Yea i should have made it more clear mb, basically if you fight somebody that either runs alot, or you just cant stun, momentum breaks are a great option. Basically you jump at your opponent, and you wait until you begin to fall before you disable their shield. This strat counters people who like to autohit and run because you disable the shield (and get autohit) while falling towards the ground. No matter what, you will most likely get hit when doing this, however you will take reduced knockback (because you will just get hit into the ground since you are already falling instead of getting hit away from your opponent), which causes you to be really close to your opponent, which allows you to crit them a bunch (even if they try to run away like the person did in the example)
Imo the best way to work on aim is just to do a lot of axe que, players that grind axe que are usually not the best but they are unpredictable which is good if you want to improve your aim. After you can aim against player on axe que, then try to duel good players (but ofc don't spam them with duel requests)
@@Leaferton also last question how do i encounter a player were both low and were shielding but i cant break his shield because his fast how do i encounter that?
@@BonIsHappyXD I'm guessing you meant to say counter, you see that is the exact purpose of the offhand crossbow move shown in this axe tutorial, when you think your opponent is below 1.5 hearts, do the offhand crossbow technique shown in the video. In your situation, you'd want to quickly hotkey to your crossbow, offhand it, then quickly left click (to disable their shield) and then right click (to finish them off with essentially a guaranteed crossbow shot) I have done this a lot and it works really well
If you have high ping (but no lag, just high ping) p crits are easier to do than on normal ping because you take less knockback, which reduces the chance of you being hit out of range before being able to p crit, plus some people just ping reach to get p crits but even without that high ping does help with p crits
Strafe and when you are just barely in reach, click twice fast (or double click if your mouse can do it) this will allow you to disable your opponents shield without getting auto hit, I like to strafe in a circular motion to have a better chance of hitting the stun but there are a lot of variations. Stuns don't rly work on high ping players because they will take delayed knockback, so against hight ping you want to instant shield
yessir, when i first got into pvp i spent a few weeks trying to do every combo in his tutorial. Btw i credited him in the end of the vid and in description
basically you jump at your opponent and time your hit so that you disable their shield while you are falling so that when you get autohit, you will take less knockback and be rly close- giving you a free hit/crit, can be used to mess up somebody's spacing or to counter runners and make it so that every time they just autohit before running, they will get crit
You can do Shield dancing when you get into a situation where you and the other player are both shielding. Then unshield, jump to the left or right, and quickly re shield to either bait the other player into hitting your shield (giving you an auto hit) or you can use it to set up a backstab
@@rocgaming2511there’s no best move, but I would say stuns are the most important because that’s how you disable someone’s shield without getting hit. Sorry it took so long for me to see this
Yea there were some that we too similar to another one (or were a variation of one) and i didnt want the vid to be repetitive, there were also like 2 or so that I wasnt sure if they were supposed to be kept secret or not so i didnt include them
If that’s what I think it is (crossbowing when shield disables) I didn’t put that on cuz imo it’s better to save the crossbow for when you need to get some quick knock back/damage (an example is if you mess up your spacing you can crossbow to push them away so you can recover)
@@Leaferton yes but it’s useful because if they stun you, axes/ words have a limited reach so if they are 3.5 blocks away after the stun u u could still crossbowthem
@@LyricTrackLTMCraft usually for stuns to be effective they move while they stun so you also aren’t fully aiming at them which would make you miss the cb, imo it’s better to auto hit and if you miss, then crossbow cuz otherwise there’s a chance you might just waste the crossbow

@@BonIsHappyXD I'm guessing you meant to say counter, you see that is the exact purpose of the offhand crossbow move shown in this axe tutorial, when you think your opponent is below 1.5 hearts, do the offhand crossbow technique shown in the video. In your situation, you'd want to quickly hotkey to your crossbow, offhand it, then quickly left click (to disable their shield) and then right click (to finish them off with essentially a guaranteed crossbow shot)
I have done this a lot and it works really well
I’m not very good axe…(well I’m not good at much pvp in general) but watching this video actually seemed to improve my skill thx! < :
np and thx for watching
pack?
Also, amazing video! Thanks for the tips!
It's called theo's pack, you can find it on theo404s channel I think
Pcrit is hard to do if you have high ping
If you have high ping (but no lag, just high ping) p crits are easier to do than on normal ping because you take less knockback, which reduces the chance of you being hit out of range before being able to p crit, plus some people just ping reach to get p crits but even without that high ping does help with p crits
How do you exactly perform stuns?
Strafe and when you are just barely in reach, click twice fast (or double click if your mouse can do it) this will allow you to disable your opponents shield without getting auto hit, I like to strafe in a circular motion to have a better chance of hitting the stun but there are a lot of variations. Stuns don't rly work on high ping players because they will take delayed knockback, so against hight ping you want to instant shield
Am i sensing inspiration from laidtofall?!
yessir, when i first got into pvp i spent a few weeks trying to do every combo in his tutorial. Btw i credited him in the end of the vid and in description
nice tutorial
whats the pack?
Thanks man, the pack is Theo 404s pack
What was the momentum break I didn't get that
basically you jump at your opponent and time your hit so that you disable their shield while you are falling so that when you get autohit, you will take less knockback and be rly close- giving you a free hit/crit, can be used to mess up somebody's spacing or to counter runners and make it so that every time they just autohit before running, they will get crit
3:22 crossbow dance*** but other than that great vid leaf also please send toes thx

Also yea I just prefer calling it the fake crossbow load
So ready ;)

was it worth the wait?

dang DreammStan is good how'd u beat him
Idk, must have been luck
How can i use the shield dancing skill ?
You can do Shield dancing when you get into a situation where you and the other player are both shielding. Then unshield, jump to the left or right, and quickly re shield to either bait the other player into hitting your shield (giving you an auto hit) or you can use it to set up a backstab
@@Leaferton thank you so much, in pvp axe which is the best skill to all round ? And how can use it ?
@@rocgaming2511there’s no best move, but I would say stuns are the most important because that’s how you disable someone’s shield without getting hit. Sorry it took so long for me to see this
Good video. You did miss a few techniques tho
Yea there were some that we too similar to another one (or were a variation of one) and i didnt want the vid to be repetitive, there were also like 2 or so that I wasnt sure if they were supposed to be kept secret or not so i didnt include them
Are these players very good
yes almost all of them are/were top players
music?
Nice
Is that sonic the hedgehog music?
no lol
What about the insta arrow?
If that’s what I think it is (crossbowing when shield disables) I didn’t put that on cuz imo it’s better to save the crossbow for when you need to get some quick knock back/damage (an example is if you mess up your spacing you can crossbow to push them away so you can recover)
@@Leaferton yes but it’s useful because if they stun you, axes/ words have a limited reach so if they are 3.5 blocks away after the stun u u could still crossbowthem
@@LyricTrackLTMCraft usually for stuns to be effective they move while they stun so you also aren’t fully aiming at them which would make you miss the cb, imo it’s better to auto hit and if you miss, then crossbow cuz otherwise there’s a chance you might just waste the crossbow
thx now i can pvp like dream
Lol
epic video idea oMG
Omg
what is the point in premiering though
Building hype, and judging by the fact people are commenting, it's working
Judging by how it's doing, I think it worked but idk

@@Leaferton Thank you! your video helped me so much in pvp tho!
Wow, I'm surprised ik all of them, just not when pvping lol
Nice lol
@@Leaferton Not so much that momentum break one as it now turns out lol. Another thing came to me, there's a thing u can do, where u stay just in reach and shift while break shield (lower hit box), then follow with crossbow or whatever
@@Juanshu_ yes that's a type of stun (I just showed the most basic stun in the video)

My favourite is Swaeshys
Yea their rly good, people have gotten good at predicting backstabs but sweashys are still pretty consistent
