Lord, how I pray I get the opportunity to see these guys perform at least once. It'll be a dream come true. I've been listening to these guys since I was about seven years old. My mom would love when I would sing their songs in the shower. An inspiration indeed. Of course now that I'm older I'm into a ton of other genre's of music. But this particular band will forever live in my heart. I am currently eighteen years of age.
It's journey, do you know how much practice it takes to be that great of musicians. Most of you will never understand. A professional guitarist will most likely pick up the guitar before the age of ten and will not go a day of not playing his instrument for at least 2-4 hours a day for the rest of their lives..What does a singer do? get lucky and be born with a voice. these people worked their asses of to be the best. Show some respect, they earn the title of journey with or Without Steve Perry.

i didnt realize i was watching a 2011 video until i looked at the video, just wanted to listen to the song. the singer is spot on, journey is the best and we are all lucky this song was ever written. so good
Anyone who has professionally studied voice or studied voice at a university level knows that it takes years to develop & improve your instrument (the voice), & it also takes years to be able to learn how to master the vocal abilities & potential one is born with. As much or more so than any other instrument you have to keep your body healthy and the key muscle groups in shape in order to retain the ability to sing at a high level. Diet, lifestyle and health are vital to vocalists
benhur asuncion Yeah and for those who keep comparing Arnel to Steve are in fact giving the credits to Arnel for maybe they are not aware that after Steve Perry, Journey had 2 replacements who never made it close to be compared to Steve.. It's funny because the more they compare Arnel and Steve the more they admit that these 2 have almost the same capability
Oh I don't deny it takes work..I am a terrible singer haha. I just hate it when people don't give a band or musician the credit they deserve for their lifetime of practice..
I do not deny singing takes practice but...it takes a quite a bit more to master an instrument. And you have to admit..having a voice like this has alot to do with luck, or we would all be steve perrys
I met the lead guitarist for journey I think his name was Neil, he was the uncle of one of the guys I was stationed with in the navy in D San diego, I want to say they were from San Francisco. He was a real cool guy, I didnt realize how popular this group was!!
fucking disgrace that the music label owned journey outright up to the pointe they own the rights to the performance of the body of work without the voice who made it what it was, if you want to know why steve perry will never perform with journey , this is it !!!!!!!
