This is why love George analysis and insight can tell hes been around the game for a while and fully agree on the par of fans anxiety and projection of that anxiety onto the team which is what gets to me especially after Saturday and considering we were all watching the same game.

I assume it was a hangover from playing CB mid week and he got his positioning wrong. Looks like he could be an amazing signing.
I hated Lee Judges analysis to my very core. So reactionary and negative. Basically if we throw away leads against teams like Leicester we can't win the title. If we play that game 4 times on average we come out with a 20-1 aggregate score. We were dazzling on the ball. It was a remarkable attacking display
You knew we would come back, that's the same feeling I had during every game with the invincibles, even if we went down i knew we'd score more,it's a lovely feeling isn't it lol

I think his awareness is brilliant just him judging those defensive distances in 1 v 1 moments getting to his marker. When he’s set and defending he’s elite

Was just watching PSG and observed that all though Arsenal will be better in defence and the midfield , PSG actually take shots on goal from every where . Always feel there is a hesitancy with our players . It as if they lack conviction even when they are in the box . Trossard is the only one who is fearless and I see the same courage to shoot from Nwaneri . I hope that Arsenal doesn’t give PSG the kind of respect they gave a weakened Bayern Munich last season .

I would also love for Ben to train for the number 6 position. He has everything to become a fantastic six. Pep did ghe same thing with Lahm in Bayern Munich.

Regarding the debate.
I'd argue you could measure the impact of narratives on the on-pitch decisions made by ref. Using big data, you could analyse the given, or not given, cards, fouls etc, and stack them up against what was said at the time in the media. There certainly will be some correlation, just not sure how much of it.

Still think Cala is to poor defensively, he is often caught overcommitting and out of position
Would you say that some of the positives he brings come from him overcommitting (in the context of what we might expect from the Arsenal team prior)? I think a fair criticism of the team is that we’ve not been too too interested in more abstract, and direct, play. We knew what areas it was important for us to occupy, so did our opponents, and it was up to them to stop us. I think, now, we’ve got the benefit of being abstract.
@@BetaFax I think that’s a good point. However you can see the amount of goals we concede with calafiori playing. I think that a strong foundation in defence is more important than a more intense press, especially with the return of Odegaard soon.
@@Prem_POV I agree. I think you can teach responsibility a huge amount easier than you can teach someone to express themselves. So, I’m thankful that he’s here and hopeful that the defensive acumen can be transferred over to him as he continues to learn.

Arteta used the game vs. Leicester City in trying to use new tactics and more importantly new Free Kick Routines in the game. It didnt work according the way they must've planned but they tried new routines. We will surprise the league more thn they expect of us. Scary days ahead, but not for us

It’s great to see the team be a bit more abstract and, even, direct. I think it was mentioned here last campaign but I think we are seeing some of the benefits of allowing the game to be one of transitions (and not total, complete, ‘dominance’).
Is parteys work ethic in defensive transitions a cause for concern, the jogging back and not tracking the runner is infuriating.
