This song and Josh's voice together always lift you up in a complete different world and so much from me, as an autistic person going through this world by always being in her own world with not many moments where I am really in the present. His voice and his lyrics always succeed in bringing my spirit to the surface and stay in the "real" world to just listen to those soul touching songs. I even have to listen closely to be able to write this comment. As soon as the song ends I'll drift off again, so my mother plays his songs very often for me on her phone, cause she knows then I'll be completely with her for one short moment. She sees it in the way I suddenly start smiling when my face is motionless for the most time. Maybe I am only feeling with the soul and not with the heart and this is why only music can get me into touch with my feelings, especially Josh Grobans 💫

Honestly, I am glad this song was not in the remake. Dan Stevens is a terrible singer, and would have butchered it. Especially, since “If I Can’t Love Her” is more difficult to sing than “Evermore”.
