Rescue Pig Meets Basset Hounds!

- Recently we took in a rescue pig named Oreo and she quickly became part of the pack. Now she is patrolling the yard with the rest of the bassets making sure the cats stay out!

Bassets are without a doubt the sweetest dogs in the world. They are driven, intelligent, funny and absolutely wonderful. The little piggy fits right in.
The bassets are probably thinking: "this poor guys deformed"

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that bassets are a breed that accepts other dogs as well as other creatures. I have never seen a basset pick a fight with another animal.

There were 2 on a paper route I had that lived in the same house. Whiskey and Stinger. It was the same every time. I delivered papers on foot. I'd come to the driveway, (it was a long driveway), and they'd come ambling out kind of baying to greet me. First Stinger would let me pet him then Whiskey. Then I'd start walking up the driveway to leave the paper on the porch. Whiskey and Stinger would be play fighting, always right in my path. I love a lot of breeds and Bassets are definitely one. They are funny.
Mine was Emma. Sweetest girl ever. Not the smartest though! I miss her so much.
Got mine from some lady, she named him johnson for a dad joke.

Bassets are always wagging their tails. Mine would occasionally even wag her tail when she was sleeping.
