Amanda, the "Lion’s Paw Alumni Assoc" on the Wayfinder maps shows land purchased by the Lions Paw alumni. This was started in 1945. It was to prevent another rounds of lumbering on the Mountain. You see a darker green color on the maps. This is the land save by LP. mtnittany.org/2007/06/01/a-mountains-tale/
@@amandaelle_ yep, he's a really nice dog, meet him like 4 times when hiking there. Have you hiked to little flat fire tower? If you go up there and there's 3 or 4 vistas within hour round trip out and back from the tower on the midstate trail. And depending on what you drive you can drive up really close to the fire tower. If you have low ground clearance you'd have to walk a little more.
Matthew Dill I haven’t! I’m not originally from here. I moved here from about an hour and a half west, so not too far but far enough to not know a lot of spots. I just moved here last November and have slowly been discovering places. Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll have to add it to my list!
Loved this video! Nice and green, compared to your February one.
Twobarpsi thank you! Definitely love the greenery best too!
