Me trying to find my way back to writing for one and writing rnb for that matter I find myself getting stuck because I don’t know where to start. I definitely want to use this as a reference.

Can you help me write I’m struggling right now to come up with concepts. I have dope beats but struggle mentally to beat writers block and not become negatively impacted by hearing hit records from other artists and wishing those lyrics were mine lol, I’m really hoping to make a song this year.
What is your normal process for starting to write a song? And what kind of stories are you most interested in telling with your music?

Can writing R&B be approached the same way as writing raps? I use a lot of multi syllables in my raps but maybe I could sing them instead of saying them?
Ofcourse! I honestly think writing raps helps you to find really interesting pockets for your singing. You really can’t lose forreal. Lol
This is definitely a thing. But it comes down to the texture of the music you’re choosing for your vocal/rnb version. Find a tempo that complements the flow of the original verse so the transition is more seamless. Half time/double time is always an option too!
