Sondra Radvanovsky is a great singer. I herad her Tosca last year at the Met.Her Vissi D'Arte was a great piece of singing. The voice has similarities to a number of singers: Rosalind Plowright, some overtones are reminiscent of Callas and Souliotis, and there is a touch of Gheorghiu in the sound. With virtues come some imperfections similar to those singers. Now about Dmitri Hvorostovsky. His is a lyrical baritone and I lack here bite that was there with his Italian predecessors.

I had the chance of seeing this pair live in Montreal. Truly amazing, although Hvorostovsky was not at top. Radvanovsky is an amazing spinto.
