1velocity...2wedge delay and 3sencibility.... the omniscan use the velocity of the material to calculated the delay of the wedge....that is the reasons
Hi Wagh Calibration Procedure for a Zero Degree PAUT Application such as Corrosion Inspection is useful I have a PAUT task on 95mm carbon steel block cladded with 3mm SS 316L How to fabricate this block and wherto put holes either SDH required or FBH required need your suggestion
Hi Na v, you have to have a clad block of same thickness and cladding. All you need to calibrate for is wedge delay. Reference Sensitivity: First BW from 95 mm should be set to 80% FSH. No TCG needed so you do not need FBH or SDH unless you are also looking for volumetric defects and not just corrosion. And then map any reduction in thickness. Report like C Scan with different color indicating remaining thickness. Note: this is just a suggestion. Refer to your company procedure before performing inspection.

This video changed my life
Good to hear that.
Ok, maybe it didn't change my life....but Pratik is a great teacher, and his passion for others to learn is evident.
Thank you so much...Your explanation was clear and concise.
You are welcome.

That's correct! The wedge is made of Perspex and the instrument thinks it is Mild Steel.
+Pratik Wagh....olympus madr the wedges whith Rexolite....w/acustic propieties closer to water
This is so helpful, love all your videos.
Thank you! I am glad it helped you.

Hi, how you remove signal from wedge if you testing let's say 100mm thick plate?
Hi sir. I have questions sir. Omniscan sx is capable for HDPE pipe (high density polyethylene)?
can you give me a video of linear beam set setup and calibration process !!
Surely.
