The ironic thing about the raw milk movement are those who say "if you're worried, just boil your milk." Which is basically what pasteurization is. Edit: changed "exactly" to "basically" in order to make it more clear that chemicals are not involved.
I dont personally like raw milk but years ago some of my family used to like pay for a part of a cow to get its milk or whatever. It's not jjst about avoiding pasteurization though. And even that itself, pasteurization gets rid of an enzyme which for some people makes a big difference in how they digest milk. You also get more calcium out of fresh milk. Big industry milk also has a lot of antibiotics and other stuff in response to farm conditions causing health issues to the cows. So jjst from my very limited understanding, there is definitely valid reasons to prefer raw milk. The people saying jjst boil it, ie. pasteurize it yourself, are probably more worried about the antibiotics, the treatment of the cows and how they are fed. It might not be about the actual pasteurization. Factory farming has a lot of negatives and if people wanna pay a premium to avoid all that, than thats pretty fair. Enough people doing that might even push our dairy industry to have better standards Edit: left this comment before watching full vid, this example is cooked. You cannot distribute raw milk at scale, as a canadian I didn't know american regulations were cooked enough to allow such silliness. The only sensible way to buy raw milk is direct from farmer, where they care enough about their animals to not use them and optimize them for profit. Thats why we use things like antibiotics, cause we overwork cows until their utters get sores. Wanting raw milk scale is eating your cake and having it too
Welcome to the circus, run by entertainers and thieves. Bread is getting real pricey, but the circus runs for free in every city in every state, every hour of every day.
In my first year at university, I lived with a girl from Lithuania and this year I studied along a Finnish guy. Both countries are so worried about a potential invasion. Finland even has had a mandatory military service to help prepare for an attack from Russia. I feel like so many Americans like Rogan can chat shit like this because they’re not directly connected to this conflict.
I feel like Americans should have at least a year of mandatory training at a minimum, I say, as an American. I hate working out, but it seems like an important thing to be ready as a nation for threats.
@@goliathtigerfishes That's some wild reasoning. There are currently no "threats" to America that mandating national basic military training would help prepare us for.
Im from Latvia and i agree with Rogan. If Putin wanted to invade my country he would already take it with eaz. Don't even start by saying that NATO would not allow it. Do you really think that NATO will start to fight for my country who have 1,8 million citizens and don't have any resources to fight for?
In Finland we already are in hybrid war with Russia. Kreml has encroached borders since always, but now its done much more in your face sorta way, they mess with comm & energy lines on the bottom of the Baltic, try petty little shit and have forced few commercial flights to make diversions. Interesting times, but we are ready; this is life with unstable neighbor, so nothing new.
"Stop killing everybody" he says, talking about a country being invaded by a larger, more powerful force that literally wants to claim their land as their own.
Please get educated on who started the war. Here I'll educate you. The 2014 coup d’etat in Ukraine was orchestrated with the support of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

There's no way mr beast would do an interview with Coffee. He got flustered so easily when oompa gave gim the most mild of pushback there's no chance he would agree to an interview with someone who would take him to task
Coffee would eat Jimmy alive if he agreed to an interview, which is why he will not agree. Coffee has done an incredible job in every story I’ve seen him cover, and he smashes every interview. I don’t see why he would be any different this time.
That's not true at all. Just say you always hated Mr Beast and want him to be guilty no matter the facts. I like Coffee, he makes great content, but this piece he did was horribly misleading. He prefaces the entire thing saying "If you like Mr Beast you'll think he's innocent, if you don't, you'll think he's guilty." Okay... then what's the point of making the video? You embody exactly what he prefaced the whole thing with.
Russia yoinked northern Georgia. Then took Crimea. Then took/occupied (with violence) Eastern Ukraine (Donbass). They've formalized war in 2022. Russia will not stop, at minimum, until all former USSR states are conquered. London and Paris see this and have been incredible allies that have stepped up.
NATO broke their promise on stopping their expansion near Russia. They overthrew Ukraine’s democracy in 2014 with the CIA. Did they think it would go without consequence? They were warned a million times but did it anyway
I probably can guess part of the reason is they remember how much damage the USSR has caused for their economy and cities. They have more than ample history to be alarmed.
My wife is Georgian and is in Georgia right now with our two children. To hear Joe Rogan become an utter hypocrite and coward is disheartening because he represents what people must really be thinking; that a bully can be stopped by giving in to them. Have they learned nothing from history? Have they all forgotten what ACTUALLY made this country great? We stood up to Nazi's, we allowed immigrants in from war-torn countries, we don't stand down to fascists and we accept the exiles of the world. What the fuck is happening?
ok and? all of history is like that, it is what it is, people need to stop acting as if the most new mindblowing thing had happen, War is part of life, deal with it.
I've finally realised what has bothered me about Mr. Beast... he has the same kind of face as 'The Captain' from 'How I Met Your Mother', cover up Jimmy's eyes and he's smiling happily but even when he is supposedly happy if you cover up his mouth his eyes are angry. Definite sign of faking an emotion, in hindsight a giant red flag.

Oompa putting up this interview disappoints me. Thought he'd learned his lesson about running defense for Jimmy, but here we are again. He bought right back in.

All he did was become the vessel to relay the words of scared former employees who don't want to come forward and be sued or worse.

Honestly wth are you talking about? Humans ingested raw milk for MILLENIA. Most people living on farms ingest it with no problems to this day. Raw milk helped heal my gut & saved me during a years long chronic starvation issue. Everything made me sick BUT raw milk. Imagine the founding fathers, who envisioned a free country where government stayed out of our personal lives, & who ALL by the way likely drank raw milk their whole lives- imagine these founding fathers reacting to an America where government could put you in prison for a plant growing in their yard (all of which they ALSO used & had no problem with). A government dictating what they could eat or how they used plants for medicine. How about you do you & let others make their own choices?
He admitted to it too! If he hadn't said that his messages were with a minor, specifically, there would be no public evidence against him... But he shot himself in the foot and released a statement pretending he did it on purpose
When he said that "they tried to shame me and my family", it Baffled me. My Brother in Christ, you did that when you decided to inappropriately message a minor!
The whole raw milk thing just feels like "Science has proven that bashing your face in with rocks is bad for you" and people responding with "I bashed my face in with a rock and I feel better! You should too!" or "People should be allowed to bash their faces in with rocks if they want to!!!"
There’s alot of factors and genetics plays a significant role. I drink raw milk because I grew up on a farm and drank it since I was a toddler. I also test my milk
I was born in a 3rd world country and lived and worked on many of my uncles farms and while i do admit i did try raw milk a few times, its almost never a good idea considering you can just pasture it via heating it in a pot under a makeshift fire. Especially considering the many many many diseases that can easily kill you considering im talking about 3rd world farming standards here. The taste isnt even different (we even have whats called "mogannan" milk inwhich its heated on a low flame for a long time to give a somehow burned after taste which many really like). Its fair to say that in 1st world places like the US there are way better safety standards and testing as one commenter above has said, but it only takes one mistake/wrong test result for you to catch a nasty bug for basically having the same end product at the end. Also i know from my experience in the health industry how medical-grade tests for microbes regularly give false negative results so I can't be confident that just food-grade ones are enough for commercial lvl output.
It is becoming increasingly apparent that we live in a time where when people are educated and practiced enough in a field to be considered experts, a large part of the population will trust them LESS because of that. I can't make any sense of it in my head but there are clearly many people who think this way.
So true. Baffling that you can literally take a decade studying a specific topic and then people who googled it for an hour will say YOU are lying to them for personal interest. It’s not like it’s just scientists who are on Kraft’s payroll saying that raw milk isn’t safe. First year med students, bio/biochem majors, and likely even many high schoolers would be able to tell you the benefits of pasteurization

An interesting theory that I've heard is that a lot of people don't actually understand what pasteurization actually is. Apparently a lot of people think that it implies adding chemicals, removing things, preservatives, and other things when all it is is just boiling
Boiling removes nutrients from food. I know what pasteurization is. It makes milk less nutritious. I still drink pasteurized milk. The loss of nutrients is balanced by the protection from possible illness from live germs. (I mistrust the shelf-stable high-heat pasteurized milk I’ve seen. Wouldn’t regularly drink that.)
@@Andreamom001 boiling doesn't remove anything. It just kills. It kills the bacteria and stuff.. It's not like boiling your vegtables. The difference is that that's in water. They go into the water. Milk gets heated to like 70 C for a while. With pasteurisation it doesn't even reach boiling point.
@Andreamom001 that depends, some food become more bioavailable which means more nutrients uptake when cooked (boiling, searing, etc). While there may be a loss of nutrients as a whole, if you can't process it because it's not readily bioavailable then it doesn't do you any better. Why risk infection for a marginal increase in potential nutrients? Agree with you on the shelf stable stuff though, I wouldn't drink that unless it's an emergency situation aince it sounds packed with presevatives.

The result is a deeply uneducated population who are overworked & rely on Joe Rogan for their education. Long form low effort audio content is perfectly compatible with their work schedule and his sensationalist views do not interfere with the ultimate goal of business: to replace civil society with a series of monopolistic "company towns" where a peasant class labors for a baron who controls both their job and the law.
How are you allowed to sell unpasteurized milk to the public as a legitimate business?????? I live in Canada and that is NOT allowed here (for obvious reasons). Pasteurizing milk does not make it unnatural, it makes it safe.

Exactly. Everyone from that region is afraid of history repeating itself… because it always does and they’re no strangers to Russian colonization.

Exactly, that is why all allies should help each other.
The ironic thing about the raw milk movement are those who say "if you're worried, just boil your milk." Which is basically what pasteurization is.
Edit: changed "exactly" to "basically" in order to make it more clear that chemicals are not involved.
Shows how much they are doing it because it's "hip" vs actually doing research
Stupidity is contagious sadly
and how much those same people tell you to "do your own research" while ignoring all actual/real the research done.
Actually, boiling it is worse because you kill the microorganisms AND nutrients, while pasteurization keeps more nutrients in the milk
Enough people doing that might even push our dairy industry to have better standards
Edit: left this comment before watching full vid, this example is cooked.
Wanting raw milk scale is eating your cake and having it too
The fact that we're having a national discussion about raw milk tells me we're completely screwed as a country. People are just too stupid. 🤦🏻♂️

So true. Baffling that you can literally take a decade studying a specific topic and then people who googled it for an hour will say YOU are lying to them for personal interest. An interesting theory that I've heard is that a lot of people don't actually understand what pasteurization actually is. Apparently a lot of people think that it implies adding chemicals, removing things, preservatives, and other things when all it is is just boiling
But but.. But my favorite anti Vax candidate and my favorite brain damaged Podcaster says otherwise... I must believe them over you.
Lmao. Where did you read that? I'm really interested. Try wiki or Britannica once, too.
