I didn’t get in on this KS and don’t plan to, kinda burnt out also on KS. I like the art and the hearthstone mana rule. The holo looks really cool. My favorite card, ironically, was “tutorial land”, very Mario NES vibes 🎉. Great vid Frank!

Hey man I am wondering if the nostalgix cards have a smooth back to the cards like smoother then pokemon is it I am not 100% sure tho for can till me that would be awesome thank you?!😃👍🏻
It looks like Nostalgix is really trying to be super kid friendly while putting in "memberberries" for the adults. I saw a card that looked like a Mario 64 level and lots of cards that looked like Digimon or YugiOh cards. That worked amazing for My Little Pony Friendship is Magic so maybe it will work here. I am however am really worried about tcgs that seem to want to get their push on Kickstarter and influencers and completely ignoring LGS and in person play. TCGs need players. Collectors need to have players to dump their not shiny cards on as well. Without that your game turns into a lottery ticket for the big hit and nothing really beyond that.
The cool thing with Nostalgix is that it's very player heavy versus collectors. And since base set dropped last year, they've been making a huge push to get it in LGS'S across the country. Slow and steady. :)
The first campaign was 90% people "investing" in the game and trying to get in on the quick money trend. Once they left, we were left with the real crowd. And on top of that, the financial climate now is drastically different than it was a year ago. The game itself has actually been growing very steadily with players and LGS'S.

I really like the art style and overall hues used on these Nostalgix cards! Very clean design!
Agreed! The design has a very space feel to it. Love the throwback references like Serra Angel and the bullet bill card too.

Not sure I can really say. I’m not good at telling differences in card stock, etc. They feel like decent cards all around.

Almost a million dollars on their first campaign yet they need to run a kickstarter for set 3? Seems very concerning.
