Welcome back man! Good stuff. Still waiting on my NomNom Verse pledge.. Definitely selling as soon as I get it. Waiting for Kickstarters is tough especially with a year+ wait period. The disenchantment is real. Backing Paragon at the moment but likely done with KS after that.
I guessed there were probably others who feel similarly. The whole market just lacks enthusiasm ATM. It is a good time to just dig deep with your favorites IMO.
@@FranklyCollecting that's fair, I'm not really sure what would be considered rare in the current format. Luckily even the rarest Vanguard cards are way cheaper than rare Yugioh cards
Frank the tank! Altered was a great Kickstarter sold almost all mine and made decent money back from it. I just got enough collecting from FF, poke, got more into higher end sport cards like Micky Mantles signed cards and the likes. Just really want to get what i like instead of trying to buy in and try make some money back on the product.
Makes sense. I’ve been thinking what to do. Prices are pretty tepid right now but I’m just holding for the time being. Not sure what a catalyst might be for a price jump, but at the very least the game seems to still be expanding on their release.
@@FranklyCollecting totally love the game, I was planning on just buying some store releases and playing and keeping one or two in my personal collection. Did you every get a Lighting signature yet? I finally got one now I have a case left and need to get rid of them, but the market on that is not really hot either expect the high end cards or really rare like the Garrett card.
I got one so far. Would like to get more but can’t financially at the moment. Yea, I think a lot of collectors are feeling the economy right now because the whole hobby seems down except random magic stuff or modern pokemon that trends on social media.
I wonder if it's the wait from project funded to completion that amplifies Kickstarter burnout. 🤔 Either way it never hurts to take breaks now and then.
The wait definitely does. I am still waiting on multiple other projects and starting to think they aren't even going to be fulfilled at this point. I've had my fill of them and am moving on. Good on Altered TCG; they delivered fast!
Sorry to hear you got hit so hard. The kickstarter games all felt like they were in for a quick buck and weren't about growing organically. Can't make a game work that no one plays unless your Pokemon. Most of the products from the KS games are just ending up in basements or closets and players are never seeing it. Just stick to things you like and that will probably bring back that spark.
Thanks. Yea, that’s the plan, cards i just want to fill my binders with, since I don’t really play much. Kickstarter/stonks era of TCGs was interesting but also often expensive, and I’m glad to put that phase definitively behind me. I enjoy the hobby more personally without the finance side.
@@FranklyCollecting I don't think your alone. The tcg finance era really cooked a lot of people. I would say in some ways it affected me as well. We can learn our lessons and remember to enjoy this great hobby.
What are you collecting in October?

Absolutely love Cardfight Vanguard. Actually recently got back into the game after a hiatus thanks to Dear Days on Switch
The cards look really good. I just want to collect some of the rare ones as something different.

Yea, I mean the full art secret variants. But it looks like if you just need the card in the regular version, they’re very reasonable to obtain.
