Blanton's Straight from the Barrel is a cask-strength bourbon distilled in Kentucky by the Buffalo Trace distillery. It's the third version of Blanton's, after the Original 93 proof and Gold 103 proof.

Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is a limited-edition, vintage-dated bourbon that's released annually to commemorate the birthday of George Garvin Brown, the founder of Old Forester. The bourbon celebrates the legacy of being the first whisky sealed in a glass bottle.
The 2023 Birthday Bourbon is 96 proof and is made from 12-year old barrels that were chosen specifically for the bourbon. The whiskey has a harmonious blend of dark fruit, oak, and spice, balanced by the sweetness of brown sugar.

Old Fitzgerald is a straight bourbon whiskey made by Heaven Hill Distillery. The brand was first registered in 1884 and was sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY.

Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon is a bourbon that was introduced in 1984. It's often considered the original single barrel bourbon sold in the modern market.
Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon is aged for 6 to 8 years in Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace. It's released once a year from single-batch barrels, with each batch having its own unique flavor.
Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon has a 46.5% alcohol by volume. It has a deep, satisfying nose of nutmeg and spices. It also has powerful dry vanilla notes in harmony with hints of honey amid strong caramel and corn.

$31 for the evan williams 100 handles that you cruised right by is a screaming deal for a house whiskey. Those are $37 in MA.
I had a bottle of that evan williams and it wasn't bad
Redbreast 12 and 21 are great pours!
The 12 has been probably the most recommended Irish whisky so far

A bottle I can't find but see in your videos is Old Overholt 114 rye. Just like Old GrandDad 114, it is a Beam product. It's about $30-$35. If you can't find OGD 114, maybe try Old Overholt 114

@@MajorXero bookers is 63.3%… my jack barrel proof is 65%.. the jack is half the price and twice as good. However the jack I have has been open for a while… the bookers drinks very hot and I think as it stays open and drank past the neck it will be good. I hope.. lol

Today’s picks were not great at least at my primary store. The best out of them was a Buzzards roost char #1 bourbon not a bad bottle but it sits on the shelf. I don’t think it was a state pick. From the reviews on that OF Bday bourbon it’s just okay. Not one I look for anyway. And any higher proof BT is just better. I’m guessing that store will be a nightmare on Black Friday!! Enjoy!!

Great selection of Lucky Seven there…they had a 12 year and a 14 year on the shelf. So good. That Bother’s Bond Cask Strength is worth getting. I found the Bernheim Barrel Proof B923 a month ago, and am looking to crack it open tonight. Big fan of Redwood Empire Pipe Dream and Lost Monarch $32 versions. I had the Pipe Dream Cask Strength which is awesome, and I just picked up the Lost Monarch Cask Strength a few days ago. Old Tub is pretty good for $20. 🥃

Go find an Irish pub or do not have those exist in Tennessee we have plenty of them in LA and do a taste test with Jameson Black Cast vs Redbreast 12 and tell me if the redbreast is worth twice the money. I did and Black cask won hand down

Great video MajorXero! I believe I’m the idiot that keeps yelling at you about the Old Tub. It’s a great Jimmy Beam product that only started being distributed because of the 2020 “health debacle” we all went through. It use to be distributed, then they decided to make it a distillery only release… but the shutdown gave us all a gift as they had too much of it and decided to start shipping it out again. We won something from that crap show of a time.
