    Hi Guys who’s ever tied Knots in their Locs to try and cover a thin area or to try and save a Loc from breaking?
    Comment below please ⬇️⬇️⬇️ you know the drill 😉. Have a fabulous blessed week! 🤗😘🙏🏾💖

    Glad I found this video, I've been timing knots in some of my locs for a while. I too have bleached my hair and it would thin out towards the ends as they are flared and not rounded ends. So the knots have worked wonders. My locs have actually gotten thicker

    I just tied knots in several of my locs very tight in thin spots and then palm rolled to smooth it out......looks great so much more confident in the strength of those locks!!!!! On my second year of my loc journey I just can't see cutting them off if they get weak!!! Just get the repair done you'll be happier.

      Thanks for your comment. I’m glad it worked out for you. I think my Locs were extra weak at the time I made this video so tying knots 🪢 in my Locs didn’t work for me. I wish I knew how to crochet 🧶 back then because that would have been a method I would have used. 😊

      @@mazznaturals I crocheted mine as well and they didn't hold as well though the braiding hair looked unnatural and it would slip out so i pulled it out it at the reconnection point of a few of them where I put a few of my other locks back in folded it up to thicker part crocheted it enough to hold and then tied the 🪢knots that's where I had the best success in keeping them secure 😌

    My BF ties knots in his locs to reattach them sometimes. It works for him and he has a pretty laidback attitude towards his locs most of the time (which look pretty good). I tried tying a knot in one of my thinning (crown area) ones years ago, but changed my mind and undid the knot. I might try it again now though if I had the same problem. Great video ✨👑

    You can save it be crocheted interlocking of the loc in a stronger area of itself.

    • @mazznaturals
      @mazznaturals  3 роки тому

      Yes I’ve done that now in another video I recently uploaded. This was an old video I didn’t know much about interlocking then. Thanks for your tip ☺️

    I get these spots sometimes in my locs - Take lose nappy hair and braid it over that area - Start the braid about one inch above the spot and just plait it until you have passed over the area - This will mend it.

      You have to braid it tight, then gently palm roll it so it will intertwine with your loc.

    I have one loc with two knots on it. But I tied my knots on the thick part until
    It caught up with the thin part and went past the thin part so it was all thick by the time it was done... we shall see how it holds up over the months 👀

      Well done glad it worked for you. I had more success with the first Loc as you saw from the vid that grew past the thinner part so you could hardly see the knot. I’m sure yours will hold up over time. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience. 💖👍🏾

    My first opportunity to try a knot. So I’ll take it. Thinking of crocheting the split and adding hemp. Anyone strengthen with hemp.

    • @mazznaturals
      @mazznaturals  Рік тому

      Crocheting would be better than tying a knot. I’m not sure about hemp. I personally prefer Rosemary, that’s good for strengthening the hair.

    Would it be okay to tie VERY tiny knots at the ends of starter locs to make sure they don’t unravel? (On week three currently, day 3 of week three specifically.)

    • @mazznaturals
      @mazznaturals  9 місяців тому

      Awww you have starter Locs!!! 🎉🤩congratulations. I don’t see a problem with that…once they are mature you may not notice the Knot and if you do you can just snip it off. I used to use rubber bands on the end of my starter Locs. However I think if you can tie a small knot with your own hair that would be better on my honest opinion. Hope that helps 😊

    OMG!!! Noooooooo knots! 😫
    (me being dramatic....Lol)
    What I've found is that after placing the knot, the part of the loc that is directly below or above the knot will start to become weak over time. I have about 5 knots that I regret placing. I would suggest cutting or using afro kinky human hair from the beauty supply store to reinforce the weakened area. If you are into "Spiritually" and know a ritual that removes negative energy, I would encourage that. I smudge the hair with sage myself. ✌❤

    • @mazznaturals
      @mazznaturals  5 років тому +3

      Hey yes that’s what happened to me when I placed the knot, below the knot became weak that only happened to a couple. But as I mentioned in the video I just cut it off lol. Also the only thing I use to remove negative energy is prayer that’s works for me all the time Thank you Jesus! 😉 🙌🏾 thanks for your comment. 😊🙏🏾💖
