I bought one of these ages back for a scout thing and was so impressed by it i have it in my hiking kit
Obrigado Dave por mais esse vídeo!
Fine peice of gear. Saw Joe Price use one. Good price as well. On my list of goods for this month. Thanks for sharing.
Cool...seems like arrow shafts would work. I like the chain system. Simple, and works.
Well that was COOL! Thanks for the video Dave!!
Looks alot more compact and better than the one I tried out last year. Nice find. Might have to check it out.
That is one cool tool! Perfect for my kayak!
Great piece of kit Dave! definitely want one.
Cool system, lightweight, pack size is great and takes out remembering if you lashed the poles right plus not having to cut down living trees is always a plus
Nice practical piece of kit!
Looks like a great and handy backpack tripod. Its very nice.
What a great bit of kit, I reckon it would be a bit better though if the legs were a little bit further apart at the base, just worried about the heat of the fire may damage the legs!
Great video Dave, thanks mate.
Will be picking some up from you guys to stock, keep up the great work brother.
looks pretty well thought out. interesting
Pretty cool for a quick set up if weight is not an issue or you don't need to adjust the base diameter.
Wish this was in my cart on my last order hehe. Will definitely be there on the one shortly
Just like the good old 'hanging out with Dave by a fire' videos! :D
Nice piece of kit.
Nice setup and product...
IT looks like this would be useful in a tactical/SHTF sense with a Dakota fire pit too.
Very good idea, Thank you very much
hey dave great vid... could you do an update of the winter pack out video please .. gear you will be using this winter .. thanks
I am a big fan,and watched all your survival episodes,i would love to see you do a weekend survival video
Looks like a great product at a good price.
Nice product.
I have one it works great
I see this with many uses other than a tripod. An impromptu fishing rod. Retrieving food from a tree ( fruits, nuts, small game), it may even be good for rescue from a river. Would like you to test these ideas and any others I may have missed.
Great idea for a tripod.
Love that fire pit🔥
Yeah, not a bad system for weight and price for general purpose camping/ hiking.
This is a pretty neat idea. But couldnt you use the take down arrows you sell for the Slingshots and do something similar?
Nice tripod it would come in handy
Been watching your videos for the past 6 years and just got done reading all your books I'm in western pa and I plan on coming to your school you'll have to sign my books!?!?!
I definitely like that locking key idea
Cool tripod.
On amazon it shows “also frequently bought” an 8 quart Dutch oven... I know this isn’t a recommendation from you.
Do you think it’s strong enough to hold a pot of that size?
I like it.
Very cool
Love your vidz brother I have always said if I ever get a chance to meet you I have one question for you, Mr.Canterbury I have a question for you if you had to carry only one cutting tool for all your every day task what would it be?
Got a tripod like this with 1 of my solo stoves
Cool!
what firesteel you have on your knife videos? Thanx
How long will it last . To use it for 6 months to check it out .
this is awesome for high desert where you aren't finding poles to cut for a tripod.
Where can I purchase a hat like the one you're wearing?
Seems like 1 more section of tubing is needed per leg With the bush pot used in the video there isn't much adjustment room.
small earth magnets would work better instead of threads . your thoughts?
Non ferrous metal's are non magnetic, so no that would not work.
Nice
Need to add 3 more poles i think.
Looks like it would be hard to use anything much larger in diameter than the bushpot.
Looked at this as well, I think we will do a version with 4 sections this was a Pack-"Lite" version meant for Bottle, Cup, or small Bushpot
@@DavidCanterbury ya 2 versions would be nice
David Canterbury
Yes, on a longer version.
Hay i like all out doors tackneets your fan Henry from New Orleans.😇
If the legs are hollow they could also be used as a bellows too!
They are Solid brother, I think hollow would be too fragile
Why do the food has a much more good taste when its prepared over bonfire on a camping site?
Hunger
Dave who makes those cargo pants you’re wearing?
Mike, they are from Helikon-Tex. They are either the UTP or the OTP pants..... most likely the latter. I have pair of the OTP in a OD/khaki green. There are an insane amount of pockets, they shed water water very well and are pretty comfortable. Only complaints I’ve had with mine is that they are noisy and susceptible to burns from even the tiniest of embers.
💚💚💚
would you add it to your pack?
Have had one in my Pack Basket for about 3 mos actually, don't carry it all the time but if I intend to cook with a Pot I do for sure
I'm thinking perfect for Canoe Tripping
Thanks for the video's. I see you cut your hair , its a nice new look.
Anybody had any weird experiences in the woods ?
It's a cool tripod but I will stay with three sticks and make my own. It's lighter weight that way. So I don't have to carry a pound of extra weight
Take my Money!
MAKE A SCREW-ON ADPATOR SO THAT IT COULD BE USED CLEAN A 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN . NICE TRIPOD
That's some fancy camping right there lol.
👊😁👍Oh yeah stop giving me shite to buy and carry to the woods lol just kidding.
Dave's the king
Definitely gonna pick up your bottle and cup steel water bottle love the shirt also maybe one day after the bottle unless u wanna send me one cause you love me 😉. PS I’m a small 😁. I also love the knives u sell in 1095 id love to trade you for one but I get it’s a business but maybe the older Blindhorse knives smaller woodsman in great condition just a little sharpening marks on the scandi edge that could be fixed in 10 minutes on a belt sander or the Ken onion though it looks great anyway brown micarta handles fisheye bolts O1 razor sharp blade sharp spine sheath looks even better than when I got it after it was oiled basically brand new went for $125- $150 and I’d take a $100 pathfinder knife for it and throw $10 in so u don’t have to pay out of pocket for mailing plus I can send pics and send my knife 1st so u know u won’t get ripped off a great knife for younger kids in your class to learn with mostly because of the smaller size a real beauty just looking for something closer to a 5 or 6 inch length from 1/8 to 3/16 thick spine
A titanium version would be cool.
and 3-4 times the price for sure
Worth it for the weight savings on long treks.
$20? Shut up and take my money
Kind of like watching water boil.
Sorry, no.
LAZER BLASTOID is bicycling from Maine to NC right now! check him out, support him! he's doing the whole camp thing. PLEASE! he's my friend. 500 miles so far! wooo buddy
I don't think you would take that on a trip bud sorry to say
OK, just my opinion. It needs at least one, probably two more leg sections. Looks like you have a 3 foot tall tripod, with a 6 inch hook and 5 feet of chain hanging under it. If it had 2 more leg sections AND the leg sections were telescopic so it could be opened with a lock on the legs, instead of screwing them together and maybe cross threading them, then it would be adjustable both in leg height and chain length. Not to mention stronger and less prone to breakage or threading issues. It would also have a wider footprint making it more stable. I'm sure some will like it just the way it is, but far me it's pretty useless as is. I usually like your products, you come up with very good ideas and products, but not this one as it is.
Honestly I'm a bigger fan of my packable grill top over a tripod I hate making tripods I end up just burning it to lazy to take it apart for my cord then I get mad about buying paracord 24/7
Soooooo sad! Not showing bushcrafting-/survival skills any more, only selling the stuff from his Shop... 😵
