    What a great bit of kit, I reckon it would be a bit better though if the legs were a little bit further apart at the base, just worried about the heat of the fire may damage the legs!
    Great video Dave, thanks mate.

    I see this with many uses other than a tripod. An impromptu fishing rod. Retrieving food from a tree ( fruits, nuts, small game), it may even be good for rescue from a river. Would like you to test these ideas and any others I may have missed.

    Dave who makes those cargo pants you’re wearing?

    • @JapanScott1
      @JapanScott1 4 роки тому

      Mike, they are from Helikon-Tex. They are either the UTP or the OTP pants..... most likely the latter. I have pair of the OTP in a OD/khaki green. There are an insane amount of pockets, they shed water water very well and are pretty comfortable. Only complaints I’ve had with mine is that they are noisy and susceptible to burns from even the tiniest of embers.

    Definitely gonna pick up your bottle and cup steel water bottle love the shirt also maybe one day after the bottle unless u wanna send me one cause you love me 😉. PS I’m a small 😁. I also love the knives u sell in 1095 id love to trade you for one but I get it’s a business but maybe the older Blindhorse knives smaller woodsman in great condition just a little sharpening marks on the scandi edge that could be fixed in 10 minutes on a belt sander or the Ken onion though it looks great anyway brown micarta handles fisheye bolts O1 razor sharp blade sharp spine sheath looks even better than when I got it after it was oiled basically brand new went for $125- $150 and I’d take a $100 pathfinder knife for it and throw $10 in so u don’t have to pay out of pocket for mailing plus I can send pics and send my knife 1st so u know u won’t get ripped off a great knife for younger kids in your class to learn with mostly because of the smaller size a real beauty just looking for something closer to a 5 or 6 inch length from 1/8 to 3/16 thick spine

  • @evilevilrick
    @evilevilrick 4 роки тому +1

    OK, just my opinion. It needs at least one, probably two more leg sections. Looks like you have a 3 foot tall tripod, with a 6 inch hook and 5 feet of chain hanging under it. If it had 2 more leg sections AND the leg sections were telescopic so it could be opened with a lock on the legs, instead of screwing them together and maybe cross threading them, then it would be adjustable both in leg height and chain length. Not to mention stronger and less prone to breakage or threading issues. It would also have a wider footprint making it more stable. I'm sure some will like it just the way it is, but far me it's pretty useless as is. I usually like your products, you come up with very good ideas and products, but not this one as it is.

    Honestly I'm a bigger fan of my packable grill top over a tripod I hate making tripods I end up just burning it to lazy to take it apart for my cord then I get mad about buying paracord 24/7
