Four years late to this video but I just got a 2016 one. It's not in the best shape but paint's being redone right now, and next step is the mechanic check. Hopefully I like it : ). It feels massive for me, I'm a lightweight 5ft6 guy. But when I'm used to this and I jump on to a bigger CC bike one day, I assume they won't feel too different.
I'd love to ride those roads! Where I am in England you can't see shit because the roads are twisty (good) and have 10 foot high hedges either side (bad). Unless you get up on the moorland roads, which usually have a 40mph limit.. Anything properly quick is waste here unless you like straight line speed, or piling into the back of a tractor/caravan/old person.. A light, flickable machine is the best fun and I'm really tempted by one of these GTR250R's. Great vid, thanks!
Awesome video man 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Love the scene and good quality camera you used. Enjoyed it! (I ride GT250R too) Your mic caught the sound without wind too. Nice
I'm getting one Friday! Thanks 4 your vids on them, and showing us that sick exhaust they really help me get by until I have my own. When are you gonna go on that long run with it?? I need that video man.
It's done 44400 Kms that's what the mechanic said so next week I'll just chAnge oil and filter and see what happens it's alright when sitting at idle when I take it for a run I don't know if it's vape or smoke can't really turn my head because of my neck
Todd, in my next video i will show the fender eliminater, that removes the big tail pice that hangs down. Also the addition of a tinted screen and a few other items. Working on fitment today. Congratulations on your new bike!
Todd, just a quick note: can you check the two bolts directly under the triple clamp they are a 6mm hex head. on our last 10 bikes were all loose, so it would be worth a check, as the dealer could easily miss this. they need lock tight! they are the positioning bolts and will help keep the bars in place in the case of a fall.
Won't sound that way with the stock exhaust, but they still sound good, with the upgraded exhaust just amazing sound. Thanks for checking out the video Congratulations on the bike!
I'm planning to get a 2015 model second hand somewhere in the future. got anything to say about it and the differences? edit: forgot to add this in but I'm also a beginner so I'm wondering if it is a good first bike
#1 it's a great bike as a first bike, so long as it is in like new condition, (some people may not take the best care of them as they were available at such a great price, you could still buy a new 2014-2015 in 2020! The GTR250R is the V twin sport bikes, and is the same size as a full size sport bikes. They made another version that was smaller in a single cylinder. The V Twin rides better and smoother. My shop sold these new for $1500 plus tax and DMV fees. Do not buy an older one, the 2014 and 2015 were built to a better standard. I love these bikes they are easy to ride and vary forgiving for a new rider, but they can always grow with you as they can still ride down the freeway all day long in comfort. Just make sure to find a great one that has been well cared for. 2014 and 2015 are exactly the same

@@fj5434 I do wish I would have kept one of these bikes, super fun bike!
Surprisingly handle pretty well over 90mph+ on 250cc guess full size frame helps
Thanks for checking out the video

The roads you talk about I've only seen in others videos, looks scary, hard to see down the road at all, I'm feeling super lucky!
Thanks

@@selfmadehooligans864 I heard about Quickshifter, but haven't seen auto blipper for this bike. Maybe I just don't look hard enough 😅

Pirelli Sport Demons make a big difference.
New tires can make a big difference!!
Just bought one yesterday. Had to trailer home. To much snow. Does anyone make a smaller tail section?

@@TRCAdventures Cool. Can't wait. Ordered the silencer from Danmoto. Have you found sintered brake pads?
@@TRCAdventures got it. Will check and let you know.

i just bought a 2015 gt250r, i wonder if the exhaust will sound similar. I know its the all chrome exhaust.

where can I get one of these? and is that exhaust stock or add on? if an add on what is the name of exhaust?
the exhaust is a Danmoto JISU Slip-On Exhaust Hyosung GT250 / GT250R 2003-2014
quite hard to find right now,
