- Watch AMBY's exclusive interview with Cage the Elephant! Cage the Elephant are a band near and dear to my heart. Not only is their music infectious, but they also were one of the first live shows I went to where I was truly captivated by a band's performance. After multiple show reviews, concert photography galleries, and countless hours spent listening to this group, sitting down with brothers Matthew and Brad Shultz during their recent show in Mississauga at Arrow Hall felt like a personal milestone interview. Indulge in our conversation as Cage the Elephant and AMBY discuss rowdy crowds, delicious meals, perfect coffee, psychedelia, cute nicknames, and lying to play a gig (and I share a funny story of when I saw them for the first time).

watching this in 2019 is heartbreaking because i just learned where the baby blue thing comes from and now they’re divorced and the line in Goodbye “You were pretty bird” is absolutely saddening.

Damn. I was always wondering what the airplane was about in the line "I remember clearly we were both there on the airplane" for How Are You True.... Really nice story behind that song and I feel like i can understand the song a bit more

DavidBirch if you've not heard social cues do you need to
I'd love to see a 1-vs-1 interview battle between my two favorite Canadian interviewers: AMBY / Nardwaur. That'd be legendary
All I can say is stay tuned, as I have something in the works happening in the next couple of months... 😏
Damn you're good. Looking forward to it!

matt: thanks for paying attention
me *has ADD*: wait what?
Sunday roast is boss.
Hey Alicia! I'm curious how do you make that pretty waves? :3
Hey! In this video, I think I had braided my hair the night before. For most of my interviews though, I use a hair straightener to curl my hair - that gives it the waviness!
Thank you so much! Love your interviews
Aw, thank you!
Matt thinks she's cute. You can completely see it in his eyes.
She is very pretty , but i dont think he would think that because she was much younger. Also i think he was with Eva then.
wtf was the one guy who disliked the video?

didn't like the "music experiment" for tell me I'm pretty they should definitely go back
Ah really? I quite liked the new record!
Neutral Milk Motel
noooo I love it so much❤
PinkGrapefruitSummer I love songs like freelove, drones in the valley, soil to the sun, sabertooth tiger, 2024, Indy kidz, teeth, and sell yourself. and it's pretty ironic that the writers of the song sell yourself wrote the album tell me I'm pretty
They didn't become sellouts just because they're popular now. They've gained new members in the band and have become less experimental and more structured. There's nothing wrong with that, if you listen to the album, the lyrics and music are good. Maybe not as good as the first few IMO but some like it better, either way they arent sellouts, they've just gained recognition and rightfully so
A Music Blog, Yea? I thought it was an instant classic. Start to finish, nothing but quality songs. Amazing.
