As soon as I saw there was a dog in the water, thats all I gave a shit about. Great to see it on the beach towards the end. Probably had the time of its life body surfing that big one. Glad you made it dog.
Usually, for some unknown reason, when crazy shit goes down, the camera man ends up filming his foot...10 points for this camera man who caught the whole process of natural selection unfolding before our eyes! .. if the hound hadn't led the way back to shore things would have played out very differently.
They were so close...that last wave done 'em in. Lucky to get blown to the North Shore. Saved their dog and the tinny. Good work by the Noosa Coast Guard.
I remember me and my mate ‘rescuing’ a guy on a kayak. He had capsized it and needed some help getting in. The bar wasn’t that big that day but it was certainly a little rough and very consistent. Nice footage.
I hope and pray that it was no ones first time out the sand bar or worse in a boat at all. Just my opinion, silly mistakes. First wrong course and line to head out, too ruff for small boat, the weight is almost all in the back, ruff or above average day with swell and no life jackets possibly. Lessons learned! Glad to see the help of others and rescue to support. So happy to see they all look ok. I’m sure the dog was less scared than anyone else in the boat, imagine. 🌊 🚤😅
Wow...we nearly lost it crossing in a 6.8 mtr Haines Hunter SP ...I feel for these guys and their dog. Glad everyone ok 👍...Well done Noosa Coast Guard 👏
Mate plenty of space between the waves why charge at the big one, i would shit myself too, but would whip it back around wait until soft enough to turn back in. Noosa bar definately hard to read sometimes, glad all ok,
Just try the river when it's that big in that boat. Tinnies aren't very comfortable bottom side up. Been there. Dog and all. Makes for a good story later on.
Not the sharpest tools in the shed. Poor dog should have been left at home, it's not hard to know that the dog can't hang on especially up the front. Hopefullylessons learnt all round
In NZ those are the ones that drown, wrong vessel for the conditions, no safety gear, little experience, and usually overloaded. The problem is that new tougher rules get imposed on everyone because of the the safety zealots but these people don't take any notice anyway.
too much weight in the back. the boat needs to be balanced if you plan on crossing bars and jumping waves ,with as much weight at the bottom center of hull. like a fuel tank. another good idea is to purposely jump your boat in a controlled environment to know how your boat acts at departure and re entry. glad that nobody was seriously hurt and it even happens to veterans at bar crossings.
🤔 🤔 As often as I see people capsizing There 🤔 🤔 Good On Y’all But 🤔 🤔 The Petrol ⛽️And Oil THATS getting Adding To “Beautiful Ocean” 🙁 It All Adds Up And OUR MOTHER 🌎 She’s In OUR HANDS And That’s SCARY!! 🙏🌎🙏
Agree re poor dog - he had no chance, innocent loyal pooch - so glad he was OK! As for the two men - no words other than fancy putting their dog in that situation. Stupidity? 🤬
Hahaha...all these comments. I know the blokes, 1 pretty well. They have probably done more bar crossings then half of the coastgaurd pilots. That was just a case of bad luck for those boys. The dog owner is part fish n im sure the dog is too. They were more worried about all the fishing gear they lost. Salty seadogs paying their dues with a dip.
If he backed off at the right time and his crew moved forward to keep the nose down after they hit the peak they might have made it. Crew is everything.
Sometimes the only way to get out of a tricky bar is to just have a go The nose of the boat might of been a little bit high alright for going slow but if they need to get on it just a little bit over it will go glad to see they all made it back safe on the beach 🏝
Glad the dog survived, I thought it was gone
But those bastards forced it back into the boat ... 😂
@@dilligafwoftam985 Those Bastards are A/H's
I’m glad the doggo is ok
They asked the dog what the sea conditions were like. He said Ruff! Ruff!
Not even funny, trying to be funny to get likes on the comment and only got 14 lmao..
That's one crazy dog to get back on the boat, we don't call them man's best friend for nothing.
Very very lucky! And the dog got back in the boat!!!
thank god the dog was alright, that's all i was worried about.
hmm.. really?
@@NZMuzz Play stupid games and wind stupid prizes. Dog didn't have a choice.
What a dumb thing to say. Imagine making a mistake?
@@jayc1763 I'd gladly see you be replaced with the dog!
Yep, that's where my attention was too. Glad the dog made it to shore.
Dog needs a new owner, for sure.
thx for sharing missed this first time & great body surfing by the dog

Me Too!!
From the start I was only looking for the dog in the water

Cheap boat with motor for sale.
Must sell.
Well looked after. Engine always flushed. 🤣
Natural born salesmen 😂
What did they think they were going to do once they got out there?
Glad the dog made it
Glad the dog was ok
Geeez boys safe to say you found the limit of the ol tinnie . What an adventure . Lucky the dog is ok
They live and they're out there, scary.
And they breed.
Bob Standen poor pooch 🥺
I miss the good old days where the camera operator got epilepsy whenever something happened
Nice that the dog is ok
Man! Did u see that dog body-surf? I thought it was a goner. Dogs can swim for hours though. So happy to see the dog at the beach.
We’ll pick up the dog on the way back. Dogs can swim for hours!
The fact that the guy sitting in the front is facing the back of the boat speaks volumes.
They were so close...that last wave done 'em in. Lucky to get blown to the North Shore. Saved their dog and the tinny. Good work by the Noosa Coast Guard.

Dog life jackets are out there, glad it’s ok..
So many nutters these days who care more about dogs than humans.
@@NoTaboos probably because humans are just trash, dogs are mostly pretty innocent.

I literally couldn't not have cared less about the silly sausages, only thought was for the poor doggo !
really...? wtf
On a bad bar no pfd's a disaster waiting to happen
I guess life jackets aren't so uncool after all lol.
Dog: I'm catching this wave back to shore!
Live jackets ? nah mate never needed one,---- 🙃 glad the dog made it.
It's hard to swim with life jackets by the way, with some of them even almost impossible.
Great channel bro. Thanks from nz
Wont restart that Hydro Locked motor... glad everybody was alright tho
Wow...we nearly lost it crossing in a 6.8 mtr Haines Hunter SP ...I feel for these guys and their dog. Glad everyone ok 👍...Well done Noosa Coast Guard 👏
their first mistake was taking it out of the drivewayt
Wtf so glad the dog was ok!
I think I would fish in the river b4 going out there in that small boat. Glad everyone survived that outing next time let the Dog drive.
Mate plenty of space between the waves why charge at the big one, i would shit myself too, but would whip it back around wait until soft enough to turn back in. Noosa bar definately hard to read sometimes, glad all ok,
I wonder if they’ll wear lifejackets in future. Nah, too tough for that life preserving stuff in Noosa.
What not to do on a boat , some foward weight would of been good , in tassie under 6m boat for pfd
Just try the river when it's that big in that boat. Tinnies aren't very comfortable bottom side up. Been there. Dog and all. Makes for a good story later on.
Shel be right mate , doesnt look that rough ............. speaks for itself really
Whatever happened to the standard "rule" of putting on life vests when crossing the bar?
did that dog body bash that wave in! legend dawwg
I guess pfd's aren't a thing in Australia. Too bad about the outboard.
Not the sharpest tools in the shed. Poor dog should have been left at home, it's not hard to know that the dog can't hang on especially up the front. Hopefullylessons learnt all round
Guess those two lovebirds will have to rent a room to try and get away next time.
Where were they going with that roll out wider
EXACTLY
It's a dogs life. Were they hiding PFD's somewhere ?
No life jackets & no f@cken clue....
What could go wrong?
Thank God the dog made it!
Enough with the fucking dog already. There are no gods.
Crossing the bar on a day like that without wearing PFD's at least till they get out there is a good way to become a statistic.
Why put your pet through that
I would of made them row back!!! Even the river would be choppy today WTF😬😬
Hold my beer!
HAHA!
Dogs on boats is just stupidity,my friend lost his dog on his boat, tried to backtrack but never found him ,horrible death I'm sure
glad the dog made it

Great estuary boat
All the weight down the back of the boat. That's gunna work well on a bar crossing..........and not wearing life jackets. Queenslanders.😢
No lifejackets? That's just dim.

Why don’t any of these people doing. This stuff in huge waves wear life jackets?? Why!???
They should give the boat a miss. 2 Crumbed Cod and chips, much cheaper. haha.
Gee those waves look big...Nah she'll be right.

Hey Dave. I've got an idea. Let's go fishing🤔
All i cared about was the dog! Lol

I hope he got his boat license revoked. Tbh all I wanted was the dog to survive. So glad it did
Came for the clever comments but none, all doggo.

don't need life jackets ... the dog'll teach us how to swim!
And for some boaties, they don't do their homework.
No life jackets 😮
Would have been lots of fun
Good lesson for them, next time, Life Jackets boys.
без жилетов в такую пагоду на такой лодке ! вывод они специально хотели утонуть 😕

You are dealing with illiterate stoners here, who never finished school.....cos they already knew everything.
Helps if you know how to cross a bar
Darwin Award candidates missed out just barely.
Not a life jacket in sight
