I'm also LDS and it's not that we leave her behind. We give her a sacredness that doesn't need to be proclaimed, merely quietly murmured. Also, my dad is Catholic (big C) and he has never thought that we give Mary any less respect than we do her son.
I'm LDS, and I have the highest respect for Mary and the calling she was ordained to. I know that she was an incredibly virtuous woman, and that God chose her before the foundation of the world to be the mother of our Savior. She is often used as an example of virtue for our Young Women. I am grateful to have had her placed before me when I was young as someone to strive to be like.
I LDS and this song is most diffidently my favorite song to sing during young woman. This year in camp we are singing this song and all of our wonderful leaders are making sure we have this song memorized and that we know the true meaning of the lyrics. This is a beautiful song.
1:42 this picture matches what I look like, at the moment I saw this video , I could help but cry lately I've been feeling quite down on myself, a sense that I was a disappointment , but to think of Christ sitting in my presence was one of the most humbling moments inn my life
Mormons and The Blessed Virgin. I went to the big LDS visitor center and also the Art and History Museum in SLC and honestly I saw many depictions of Christ and Joseph Smith but I cant recall on of Mary. Honestly the only woman I remembered seeing was a statue of Joseph Smith's first (of many) wife Emma.
As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, also called "mormon ". We do have beutiful art of the virgin Mary. They are most precious to us. I believe there is on of Mary holding the baby Jesus in the SLC visitors center. I haven't been there In many years. She is so revered and special to us, that like our Heavenly mother ( yes we believe in a mother in heaven that helped in our creation ) we are very protective of her, and dont want to see her mocked or disrespected. So we hold them in our hearts with gratitude and the deepest love.

The Blessed Virgin is a goddess in all but name to Catholics and I assume LDS takes this into account when missionaries are sent to the Spanish speaker parts of The Americas. As a gentile the face I see of LDS from leaders on TV to rank and file I dont see Her included as She is in the RC Church. Now of course sadly RC clergy is all male, but the culture adorates Mary. Mormon patriarchy to me leaves Mary behind, but perhaps I not right about this if what you describe is common place.
Catholicism adorates Holy Mary Mother of God aka The Blessed Virgin. As far as I can tell the model restored by Joseph Smith doesnt include this honored position.

Rachel have two son and she stand both side to protect them both until all her sons have their own head, that's why she cannot move no matter what.
