#nikon #photography #review - Наука та технологія
Another perfect review. You hit all the points so well. This lens has quickly become my go to for travel with the Nikon Z. There really is almost no negatives. Image quality once stopped down is hard to distinguish from the primes. And the close focus ability makes beautiful dreamy images. This lens alone is a strong reason to buy into the Nikon Z camera system. The 40mm f2 is also becoming a favorite.
Thank you! I heard only good things about the 40mm f2, I will give it a try.
Exactly matches my experience with the lens
If you use it on 24mp i would call it also sharp in the edges at f4, maybe improves minimal to f5,6 but its pretty much optically flawless over the whole focal range and wide open - what an achievement!
This lens is easily the most versatile i ever owned and its just so nice to know that this lens just performs no matter what photographic situation you are in
Thank you for sharing!
Great review and travel photos! I'm getting this lens soon before prices go up...
Hope you enjoy it!
I own this lens , and it jumps back and forth between my Z6 and Z7ll . Great lens !
Thanks for sharing
Great review Andrei very interesting 🙂😉
Thanks! 😀
Great review Andrei :-)
Thanks! 😀
Awesome video 📸❤️
Glad you liked it
Hi Andrei, would you recommend this lens over the Tamron 27-75 f.2.8 for the Nikon Z system? I think a comparison as a one and done lens for travel between those two would be great.
I wonder how it compares to the Fuji 16-80 f/4. The Nikkon 24-120 f/4 looks great
Agree on almost everything. Except the bokeh isn't "creamy" it doesn't deal with messy backgrounds well and the bokeh balls could be nicer. Still worth it for the great IQ over such a wide range and the good build quality.
Well done review.. looks good, all around handy camera 📸
Thank you!
The 24-120 has become my new favorite lens. In fact, (sadly) I use it more than my 24-70 2.8.... which has been only really used for landscape and portraiture but the 24-120 has become my new every-day lens. I was a bit hesitant to be honest, as I had the older F mount 24-120 f/4G lens, which wasn't that sharp and had some optical issues, but I have to say that NIkon did a great job on the Z mount version and I would not hesitate to recommend it to someone, possibly even over the 24-200 (even though the 24-200 does give you an extra 80mm, which to some may be more important than the constant f/4 aperture or the sharpness benefits, although the 24-200 dos hold up pretty well against the 24-120 in the common focal ranges at smaller apertures at least like f/8 or /f11). The 24-200 does fall apart after about 130mm but considering the 24-120 doesn't even go to 130mm it's not really a relevant point, but I would still take the 24-120 over the 24-200 (which I sold to get the 24-120). I just wish Nikon would have given the lens VR, as I feel that going beyond about 70-85mm is when you start to benefit from in-lens stabilization over IBIS.
If I had to pick just one lens, this would be it.
Sold my 24-200 and got this instead. The image quality is so much better especially in the short end, where the 24-200 is just too soft on the edges. Not to mention the advanced coatings wich make a huge difference in tricky light conditions. For me the 24-120 is the best lens for landscapes.
Love mine
Yes I bought the 24 to 200 and took it with me to Mexico and while I like the lens I think the 24 to 120 is much better. I like the fact that it is an s-class lens and I think the quality of the photos it takes are outstanding. I think this lens has become my new favorite travel lens.
I have the 24-70 2.8 S. I chose it for the better corner sharpness. I only do woodland photography (post to social media(vero) but will be doing prints). Ive seen charts showing that this 24-120 is the same in the centre throughout the range, and corner sharpness is very good. Im wondering if this 24-120 would be best for me for the extra reach & potentially travel.
It is a great lens for travel, only you know what you need exactly.
did you checked the 24-200 bot a S but great for traveling
Hello, not yet, I was thinking of renting one for a month and maybe make a review.
I would love you to rent 24-200 and make a review!!!
i started photography last year only i was wondering if that lens is also good at street night photography
You need a smaller brighter lens, like the 28-75mm f2.8.
both~ incredible content-see you on my side,🤝
Thank you so much 👍
How would this lens be on the z50?
I would rather get the Nikon Z 24-200mm F/4-6.3 VR for the z50 or wait a couple of months for Tamron to release the 18-300mm.
you romanian?
yes
