I hope you know your beauty isn’t diminished by whatever your skin might be going through, you are just gorgeous and there is nothing for us to „bear with“. Lovely look and fun video as always 🩷✨💜
The final look is super pretty! Even though my eyelids are starting to get more textured the further I get into my 40s, I’m still looking for the more show stopping shades/shimmers. I’m not sure when or if that’ll change. But still, very pretty!
As always you are absolutely gorgeous! The look is very soft and pretty! Gives Byredo remembrance vibes but softer! Thank you for this review! I’m getting older now (41) and I feel like I’m starting to lean to more softer looks. Will you be reviewing any of the YSL clutch palettes?
Do you mean the mini-palettes or the full sized Couture Clutch Palettes? I own almost every one of these ( the larger), and I've heard from a few reviews that they are still a nice soft shadow with some rather pigmented shimmers which are soft when you place your fingers in them. I'd like to try one or two myself to compare to the larger ones. If they're anything like the shades from the Couture Clutches, they should be nice and soft to apply. You're only a Spring chicken at 41yrs! Just wait until that starts to climb! You'll gradually notice your make-up and wardrobe changing bit by bit. It will soon be about comfort and convenience, but not so much about looks. Just hope you were born with great genes which will greatly help! Keep thinking young!💖
@@krisushi1 haha yes I’ve been dressing for comfort and convenience for a long time 😂 I used to do bright colored looks and use like 3-5 diff shadows on my eyes and now I usually do one MAYBE 2. I feel like I look better these days with less. Are you talking about Byredo or ysl when you say couture clutch palettes?
Thanks for the in-depth review, as always. I can always count on you😊 This one is a pass for me because I still have 5 pallets waiting to do more than swatch them. Lol I'm sure you can all relate UGH! Much love💋💚
Givenchy has shot straight up to being my absolute favourite for eye palettes, I shocked myself. I have the Le 9.04 (cool tone purple palette) and it’s so glamorous yet subtle so it’s perfect for how I style for the office. Your content has made me realise I need this new one 😅. Thank you Martina for taking the road less traveled because it’s really helpful for me, I appreciate it.
You looked stunning❤ I am happy that it worked better on your eyes because I was unimpressed with the pigment while you were swatching.! I think it’s a very lovely palette and will create many pretty soft looks. I don’t know, I kind of want it! 💕
I have had more luck with Givenchy than Chanel. I get way too much fallout from Chanel. If you have ten minutes to do your makeup this kind of palette is quick and forgiving. It also would look fine on a more casual occasion or with sheer face makeup or with more dramatic face makeup or lips. The Givenchy lip formulas are gorgeous and the face powders are very fine too. You look very beautiful.
I have been wondering about these palettes, but I haven’t seen any reviews on them at all. You made a very pretty look with it, but I think it’s not for me. I love Pat and Natasha but I also love TF, Byredo Remembrance, and Suqqu. I guess I’m one extreme or the other! I have tried Chanel and it was too light even for my lighter side and I fear the Givenchy would be more like that for me. I did just buy 2 Givenchy sheer velvet lipsticks and WOW! Now I want about 6 more, so Givenchy is still coming for my wallet! (And the black lip balm 😍)
I understand completely. That's good to know about Chanel though, thank you. Also I totally understand your infatuation with the sheer velvets, they are amazing! 💗💗💗
Martina, at least you got to try something quite different. Most definitely, these are a very soft shadow that will blend incredibly easy. I know that it's your preference that will decide on what you purchase and these shades really did look great on you. I would have personally loved to see you try 9.02 - with the bright emerald shade and those darker shadows that give off a very smokey look, 9.05 with the slightly deeper Autumnal colours or even the purple palette, which all palettes have darker shades to define with, yet through the spectrum to the lightest soft shimmers. It's strange that we stopped at 9.07 which is the Fall/Holiday (N/H) release which dropped at Sephora last Christmas as 'new' and we've not seen anything since! So we're still missing 9.08, despite seeing the pictures of, which shows lovely warm Autumnal shades. I did feel that these shades blended well on your lids, from what I could see from my end. You can see more of the shifts of colour within each shade better when swatched on your hands, so thanks for that. My ND Metropolis Palette showed up today, now I have 71 shades to play with on top of everything else I've recently picked up. Yet, right when suffering another migraine! I can't win.🤷🏼♀️ Gee, if only we lived closer, you could try all my Givenchy Eye Palettes, plus everything else! Chanel has a beautiful formula, yet for the prices they charge for such a tiny amount of product, I will only dive in when it's something that really intrigues me. I do hope you managed to get a bargain from Sephora recently and remember to put your name down, if you haven't already, at Mecca for the Byredo Kalahari Palette. It took a year since it was first released, yet I still gladly got that notification! It's a stunning palette and I'd hate for you to miss out should it return. You've got nothing to loose. I know you love your more pigmented shadows now and make the most of it! Yet, when your eye's aren't so happy wearing vibrant shimmers in future, you've always go Givenchy to fall back on, or Burberry for that matter. I was surprised you didn't get their Monogram Holiday Eye Palette, as it was full of very pigmented neutral shadows. I was watching Alicia Archer review it today, (well, there's not much else you can do with a migraine whilst stuck in bed in the dark!). I thought of you when she showed it. Luckily, we only paid $120.00 here, whilst in the US, they got slugged US$125.00!!! Anyway, no point in thinking of the future and like a t-shirt of mine says - 'Life is Short, Play Hard'. Take care and I hope that what has set off your skin, will cease asap! Every household should be growing an Aloe Vera plant, not from a tube but the real thing, which you can smother over your face. It's an amazing treatment for so much. Stay well, Kris.🇦🇺💖🕊
I'm so sorry to hear you have a migraine. I suffer from those too and they are the worst. I hope you're feeling better now! I'm so sad cos I put my name down the Kalahari restock but by the time I saw it, it was already sold out again :( I've put my name back on the list so fingers crossed for next time. So even though I'm more of wham bam eyeshadow lover, I do actually want to slowly collect all of these ones haha One, because I'm a sucker for all makeup and two because I love that they offer something different in my collection. I like all the color stories but wanted to start with one that I knew i would use all the colors just in case I didn't want to pick up any others but I can see myself collection these for sure haha 💗💗💗
Totally off topic but do you feel like the Pat McGrath bronzer is worth getting? Now you’ve had it a little while I’m curious your thoughts. I’m another big PM fan, just haven’t jumped on the bronzer yet
It looks like it has similarities with the Byredo Renaissance palette. Personally I like the subtlety but since I already have the Renaissance palette I wouldn’t bother. It might though persuade me to look at the others in the range.
This one is a pass although your eye look is gorgeous! It reminded me of the Makeup by Mario recent palette. I adore color and shimmers with a punch most days! Love you and your skin is fine!
I hope you know your beauty isn’t diminished by whatever your skin might be going through, you are just gorgeous and there is nothing for us to „bear with“.
Lovely look and fun video as always 🩷✨💜
Aw thank you so much Nina 💗💗💗
The whole look turned out super pretty. Thank you for the review I didn't know I needed. ❤
I'm glad it was helpful! Thank you lovely 💗💗

Aw thank you Emily! Yeah defs Byredo vibes for sure. And I definitely will be reviewing the new mini YSL clutches as soon as I get my hands on them
Thanks for the in-depth review, as always. I can always count on you😊 This one is a pass for me because I still have 5 pallets waiting to do more than swatch them. Lol I'm sure you can all relate UGH! Much love💋💚
Aw thank you! And I totally understand haha have fun playing with them though!! 💗💗💗

Aw you're welcome lovely. Im glad it was helpful! I agree about the formula too perfect for office style 💗💗

Thank you lovely. I was the same when I swatched it but then was pleasantly surprised when putting it on the eyes 💗💗

Yes so very true about the versatility for this palette. I've never tried a chanel eyeshadow so that's great to know. Thank you so much! 💗💗

Honestly... yes haha It's become my go to bronzer for sure. Its so soft and diffusing on the skin it really is beautiful 💗💗
It looks like it has similarities with the Byredo Renaissance palette. Personally I like the subtlety but since I already have the Renaissance palette I wouldn’t bother. It might though persuade me to look at the others in the range.
Oh I've not seen that palette before, I might have to check it out. I love the Byredo formula
Hows the formula compared to a tom ford wet/ dry palette? They look pretty simular
Hmm, I think the TF wet dry has a little more pigment behind it if you use a wet brush but they are similar for sure 💗💗
This palette is a little too subtle and soft for my taste. Good to try something new though!
This one is a pass although your eye look is gorgeous! It reminded me of the Makeup by Mario recent palette. I adore color and shimmers with a punch most days! Love you and your skin is fine!
Ohh yeah I can see those similarities for sure. And thank you so much lovely! 💗💗💗
Very hard to understand your accent, words all run tother. A voice coach might help
lovely look, but I wouldn't buy it
