You should have shown the cloth you cleaned with to see if there is any residue of paint
Dulux Diamond range is even harder wearing.
You could try full acrylic emulsions now available, rock hard, although a glass like finish,
....... I’m thinking of eggshell but you most definitely can get matt acrylic 😁
Shine a light down the side of the patches to see if you’ve disrupted the sheen of the paint ..... that’s the real test

I have Dulux Easy Care in my bathroom and it's superb. It has the texture of shark skin when it's finished. It is so easy to keep clean.
Great stuff that, a completely different formula to the EasyCare in this video.
Much better in my opinion. Not a Matt finish. It’s great on shower room ceilings and coving to keep mould away.
Johnstones Cleanable matt. Brilliant stuff. Not long been out. I use it a lot. Better than any reviewed here. Paint takes 5 days to cure. Dont try and scrubb before it cures. Valspar my preference out of those reviewed.

We've been using the Johnstone acrylic durable Matt which is apparently the toughest at Johnstone's. But it doesn't seem to resist stain or scuffing. In your experience, is the cleanable Matt better than the acrylic durable?

Good question!
Yes but have you rubbed the slight sheen that new paint has off.
If you looked down those paints from the side do they looked like they have been rubbed.
You can rub most paint to a certain degree without it coming g off but from the side on view it looks like it's been rubbed and shows a big patch
Thanks for watching. All of the paints retained their sheen. Normal emulsion does lose its sheen but these are designed to be wiped.
Nice video :) Ketchup does generally not leave stains. Tea is much worse!!!
find oil eggshell is still best you can clean it with harsher chemicals and its waterproof rather than water resistant. for these acrylic matts crown trade clean extreme is the best but is three coats in quite a few colours same as dulux diamond matt

I'd like to see when they dry. I know my paint will look clean while its still wet but once its dry they all come back.
Had of you guys painted a bigger surface you could have checked against the rest of the wall for shade changes in washed area. 👌

@@TheHomesNetwork I’d also be interested in a repeat video if you looked at marring and burnishing after using a cloth on the paint. We used F&B and it marks so easily with a very noticeable colour difference that doesn’t go away as soon as you wipe it so you have to paint the whole wall again!

Should have used a pencil rubber for the pencil maybe ?
If you have a sheen or semi seen paint finish most things will wipe of. To remove pencil Mark's crayon ect when kids have scribbled on walls wd40 removes such Mark's..... vinyl silk has always been the ideal paint for high traffic areas hallways ect or oil based eggshell all these washable paints ect waste of time and money. Good review tho but if yoused a little soapy water instead of just water you whould have failed better in removing the stains or even a little sugar soap..
We were never shown the cloth either. I agree, unless an acrylic matt or diamond eggshell / silk it most definitely wipes off. The colours used on a white background hide paint removed. Wiping white paint from a black wall would of shown better but hey Ho. Some cleaners I’ve seen can skin a wall rubbing it. Spray all sorts on it then wonder why the paints removed. 🤯🥴😂😂😂
A good test may be also be with coffee !
