We camp hosted for the USFS at Jack Creek in the Sierra Madres in 2016,17 and 18.Helped put up CDT markers and always carried water and snacks for thru hikers.Met some super nice people!

Nothing is better than finding food and water 💧 like that on trail 🎉… I have done a lot of skiing in Steamboat Springs. Looking forward to seeing more adventures
Glad to hear from you🙂 Rattlesnakes like the pavement at night bc it retains heat. My brother lives not far from where you are /were, in Saratoga. I have been to Encampment and got the best and biggest steak of my life there. The mountains past there are gorgeous, so hope you enjoy the beauty.

... Collapse for 48 hrs+ ,, load up on calories and back on the march .... I can't even imagine ... When long stretches are known ahead ,, why not load up soft bladders ,,,, even when expected , water stashes are hit by lots of travelers ,, and the country is flooded by people everywhere ... Huge respect and thank you to Jim Taylor for help in need to others 👍,, Hope you are ready for Colorado weather ,, snow already falling in higher locations ,, that means CDT ..... Stay Safe ...

Looks like a Prairie rattlesnake, one of the more chill species you'll find. Thanks for showing it to us and not killing it.. they just want to live their lives without bringing static to anyone. Also, want to mention that I'm really liking the addition of music that you're incorporating into the videos.

By now, you must have visited my favorite town ever, Steamboat Springs. The town and the people there are the best. Love the Zirkels and go to Steamboat Springs every chance I get.
Hi Kelly, glad you and the crew are back on trail. Question for you: is it cool to leave empty containers in trail magic coolers? The first cooler you guys came to was full of trash. Seems like the hiker that drank it should have gotten rid of the trash? Hope you continue to have fun. P.S. the rattlesnake would have scared the $h!t out of me.
Water looks to be the most precious resource on part of the CDT.
