The legacy of ETS2 is absolutely legend, the greatest truck sim ever made.
Yeah
Ye and American truck simulator
Pretty wild that ETS2 is still going strong after 10 years. It's come a long way from it's beginnings.
That's what you get when you have a company that listens to its playerbase and is not in it only for the money. SCS deserves all the good that comes its way.
As genuine OG ets2 player (got it about 3 months after release) I fully agree with you and the other commenter, it's still going very strong and it's come long long ways. Due to a good team and amazing willingness to listen to us players
I just got it a few weeks ago with all dlc because it was on sale on Steam. I never thought I would like it but boy was I wrong. I already have 25 hours in it. I'ts really amazing in VR and with a wheel+shifter
@@Moribax85 bruh they add nothing but locations (with dlcs) and new trucks (every 2 years lmao) what are you talking about? they dont listen to playerbase at all
@@kueyz5 yeah, like they didn't completely change the graphic engine a couple years ago... Don't speak of what you don't understand
I'm proud to admit I enjoyed every single 18 wheels of steel game!
Yeah very glad that the series was a part of me and my best friend’s childhoods growing up.
First impression from "Hard Truck 18 Wheel of Steel" is ok. Nostalgic when you play it. Well, now i'm playing the "Euro Truck Simulator 2022" than better before. wkwk
Really a veteran if truck driving
Seriously! I had every single one and loved every single one. I remember scowering the internet for mods for them lol. Now I'm a truck driver lol. Thanks SCS Software for making those games turn into a reality!
@@genericwhitemale1114 I started by playing Pedal to the Metal (PTTM) and played Haulin and ALH. Had lots of friends online who also played it. We had groups on Orkut, Microsoft MSN and some of them became real truck drivers. I followed an entirely different path by joining the military and also got a bachelor in Physics, totally unrelated to trucks 😂
Jesus early 2000’s were crazy for truck sims
Yep. Basically a tun of stuff till SCS took the fame
@@thinkwastaken scs made those games they been out since 97
Euro Truck Sim. 2 and spin tires got me into the rabbit hole wich is the love of trucks, fast forward to when I was 19 I got forklift certified and worked in a warehouse and now at 21 I’m trying to get my CDL and drive a big rig. Love trucks and I’m so happy I was able to grow up with so many games that flourished my love!
Keep at it my man!
good luck

It was a accident about to happen. I guess after that you could play Wrecker Truck Simulator (If it exists).
Laws of physics no longer apply when you're an AI.
I would have chosen a different clip for 2022 ETS2 as that clip was filmed in the UK, and that hasn't been touched in ages. A clip on the Stuttgart area or Iberia would have been better as Stuttgart got a rework last year, and Iberia is a completely new region added last year as well

... ... Whooooaaaaaaaah, 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Truckers 1 and 2.
I can feel the massive excitement of how extreme it is. I can feel my heart jumping out of my chest!
Hard truck 2 was my game back then. The intro and soundtrack was sick.
Dude i loved that game as a kid. I think i still got my original disc somewhere
I lost my original disc
As a truck driver, when going through rough snow or storms, I love putting the soundtrack on in the background! Makes me feel badass, and since it's just instrumental is not distracting so I can keep the volume low and focus on the road. It's a vibe listening to the sound track now while driving a real truck, remembering my childhood with that game
Man i remember playing Cross Country USA when i was like 5. Driving truck has been the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do! 30 years later & it’s my life.
18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul was my first ever trucking game I played. I remember filming my gameplay with a camera then speeding it up to make a shaky timelapse
Hard truck 2 King of the road, german truck simulator, euro truck simulator 2 and American truck simulator were my best game i can't forget them
1:10 This game also had the title "King of the Road." It was the only game about trucks, where goods could also be transported with a BMW M5 :)
Дальнобойщики 2
Not the only one :))
I keep the original game!!! I loved it when i was a child hahaha
King of the Road (2001) epic childhood memory
yes
my too
I remember playing 18 wheels of steel pedal to the metal. My first ever trucking game. You brought back a lot of memories.
I like how there is like 90% of all those games from our czech SCS LOL :D. Also Mudrunner/ Snowrunner is so great game, cant get enough of it... Good video, but developer mention would be good too ;)
18WOS Extreme Trucker 2 was and still is my favorite truck simulator game. Between the Alaskan ice road trucking, Australian road trains, and Bangladeshi mountain trucking, the game had the most interesting and fun routes of any trucking game.
I like it but it does not have multiplayer which sucks.
You missed "Big Rigs over the road racing" the most realistic game ever made. 🤣
Yeah, these other so-called simulators stand no chance in comparison.
Rig'n'Roll was an export naming. Original name is Hard Truck 3: Conquest of America. And the series also had a management game called Hard Truck: Transport company, released in 2007. Export naming was Freight Tycoon, Inc.
Snowrunner looks great on next gens with next gen upgrades and all the mod options for consoles and pc
Hard Truck developers made 16 games in just 2 years between Hard Truck 2 (2000) and Hard Truck 18 (2002) releases. Impressive.
18 WOS was actually my childhood :D And Motocross Madness
You forgot the insanely fun Big Mutha Truckers 1& 2 from 2002. nice review.
Thank you!!
The 18 Wheels of Steel series are true classic games
18 wheels of steel extreme was just my game when I was a kid just the snow and everything I loved it
OMG hard truck road to victory brings back so many memories from my early days
18 Wheels of Steel was the game that got me into trucking.
Little me didn't realize I would actually be doing it and flying planes! Living a good life rn!
Across America was my first. Then Long Haul, which was my favorite because it had some super huge trucks and parts of Canada. Used to love driving through the mountains or going full tilt and seeing how many tickets I could get! It did sleep pretty good, your driver would fall asleep behind the wheel if you weren't careful!
18 wheels of steel extreme trucker was my introduction to the world of semi trucks. i loved it to death lol so much fun
Damn hard truck I used to love that! Could never remember the name lol thanks for showing this👍🏻😊
I still remember playing some of the original truck simulator games, definitely brings back alot of memories watching this
The first "truck simulator" computer game I played was a text based basic program that was printed in a computer magazine in 1984 or 85 for you to key in yourself and run.
I played Hardtruck for hours as a kid.
I really enjoyed watching that video from start to finish showing my age now but I remember them 😃 how things have changed over time.
I don't really like these kinds of games but Snowrunner is so amazing. I think I have an addiction
Yeah ETS games are overrated as hell
@@lunseren They ain't.
Rig 'N' Roll was the only Truck Sim game that had a plot. I have played it a bit, but wasn't that interested into that plot. Nor the fact that is was more of a "who arrived first at your destination with minimal damage" driving. So beating your rivals was hard if you wanted to keep your truck and cargo alive.
5:35 Plymouth in the UK hasn't even changed in ETS2 since this era. The city layout is exactly the same.
The remake/update will have to be massive and can't be made DLC because the UK is in the base game, either that or they'll wait till ETS3. The amount of work will have to be DLC level otherwise it'll have a few nice roads with extremely old city assets or something, all at the expense of their own money and time. (just saying all the options they have here). Maybe it's why nothing has been done for the UK to this date.
In my childhood played 18 Wheels of Steel Across America.
Now American Truck Simulator
It was awesome to see spin tires/ mudrunner and snowrunner make it on the list all my favorites anyone can drive on road donot off road.
People in 1985:wow this is so realistic
My favorite is snowrunner
you have euro truck simulator 2 twice. in 2012 and 2022. the game was released in 2012 and just got a major graphics update in 2022.
I still remember some pictures of hard truck 2 2002 🥺😭😭❤️.tnx u remembered me i used to play in pc using cd .
You see how evolved games in future truck comes in our room and we drive it
WAITING ❤️
SnowRunner is my absolute favourite
Remembered playing Payload, on the MSX (1989 or so). Even drew a map of Japan, with all city connections and stuff.
18 Wheels of Steel were pumping out games.
Fun fact: they were made by the same people that made ETS and ATS.
I was played hard truck and 18 wheels of steel with pentium 3, so much memory. Now, i play ets2 and ats
ETS2 & ATS WINNERS 🚚🚛✨✨
Unfortunately, people graduated from playing 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker (2000) to working for Swift in a truck for realsies. 😏
Nice. Snowrunner is awesome. I play it all the time.
Same
Imagine driving on actual roads lol
Ring 'n' Roll and Extreme Trucker 2 ❤️
Значит так, грузим полный кузов и через шахту гоним в Алмазный
I use to play cross country usa in school all the time i completely forgot about the game until now
me first time playing 18 wos long haul : this is masterpiece
I really like the fact that cross country america seems like a normal old game, meanwhile the canada one that came out one year later seems like a drive in hell
That's because Cross Country America is showing gameplay from Cross Country America 1995, instead of gameplay from Cross Country America 1985.
I did not see ets2 killer in this video. Going strong after more than 10 years
I remember that first one from 2000.. had it on my ps2.. I feel old 😂
I remembered I played 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker many times on GameCube and arcade game.
I missing the great truck game I loved it.
I didn't know that original ETS is such an old game
Snowrunner, the only game where paved roads become less efficient than 3 foot deep mud swamps.
These games have definitely came a long way
Rig-n-Roll had potential but was very buggy :(
My personal favorite is Snowrunner!
Ive had a few different 18 wheels of steel games, I have both Euro Truck Simulator 1 and 2, and American Truck Simulator Extreme Truck, 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker 1 and 2, Spintires ext.
you missed few truck simulator but great job! #nostalgia
I like how pronounces Euro like he's never heard of Europe before
My favorit truck game is snowrunner I just love snowrunner I love the physics
I am hyped for alaskan truck simulator
i remember playing Across america with Volvo aka volcano, where with top engine and gearbox cops could not keep up with u :D so u could just drive and not care at all! :D good memories
Pra mim só faltou sitar no vídeo World Truck Driving Simulator, esse jogo é 2018 ou 2019 mas tem gráfico que dar uma surra em alguns jogos atuais que foi citado no vídeo na mesma faixa de tempo de lançamento
WOS 18 Haulin is the legend.
18 wheeler is a classic!
The 2022 ets2 is awesome.
Haulin was the first one for me. I used to put music on and pretend i was driving cross country.
American truck simulator has one of the best graphics I’ll ever see in a truck game😊
Omg my 1 Truck Game Hard Truck 2 best time ever....
You forgot the best trucking game of all time: Big Rigs: Over the road racing.
absolutely, ETS 2 is the best Truck simulator ever. and still have a lot of potential
O melhor de todos para celular sem dúvidas é o Word Truck Drive Simulator
Alaskan Truck Simulator have big potential only if it have big budget. I see what developers want to do. This could be better than any Truck game
I've played 18 Wheels of Steel Across America, Snowrunner, Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator
German, UK and Austrian Sim as well as Scania Driving Sim were all test beds for ETS2
Velho eu gosto muito de jogar, e digo para o início dos anos 2000 os gráficos dos jogos já eram muito bons, vamos dizer assim, os jogo já tinha um física agradável, já dava pra jogar.
I played the game at 3:00 so much as a kid omg
the best of american truck simulator!!!
ETS 2 is legend still after 10 year
It's funny that in the old Cross Country games your stuff could get robbed.
SCS, what Truck World Australia did is what we want in ATS and Ets, being able to roam the world.
That would take toooo muccchh time. To do....
Good video. Got about 700/800+ hrs in ATS myself. My only issue is the game is so out date, at least in graphics and physics/features. SCS game engine is still base from 2016/DX 10 features and still looks and drives like that. Love the game but kinda looks like crap. Sure they added DX 11 feature and prob DX 12 at some point. But I kinda wish SCS would just do new games on newer game engine. UE5 looks so impressive. Would love see ATS2 with everything learn from ATS/ETS2 imported into ATS 2 but looking more next gen. One thing SCS has failed do well is proper engine sounds. Cat engine in Pete 389/w900 sound different when they shouldn’t. All engine in ATS sound like lawn Motor engine. Not proper turbo diesels.
Alaska truck simulator, looks good and has so many new features that should be in ATS. Maybe once Alaska truck sim is out. SCS devs will take notice and start adding real truck features. Like oil changed. Engine maintains and proper economy, paying for parts/building/employees and all that real truckers deal with. Thankful we have mods like Zee’s mods that fix sounds.
Good video though. Keeping eye on Alaska truck sim.
Have you tried Alaskan truck simulator demo yet.
@@Irishone-iw3ty Yes I have, its has some potential, They need fix the driving and get proper Eaton fuller transmissions.. (18 or 13 speeds)
0:50 this game had a lesser known sequal called The King of Route 66, released in 2002. While it was a rather good looking game for the time, it was criticised for being far too hard. Most of the old drivers return, with some new unlockable ones as well.
SCS Software has managed to be the best in this regard.
Hard truck 2 : king of the road 🔥
You forgot to mention in 2002 big mutha truckers as well as its sequel.. not my most favorite, but still notable entries
Hard Truck 2 - or Дальнбойщики 2. Top)
We all know Big Rigs over the road racing is the best
Comment your favourite Truck Simulator game!🕹
Alaskan Truck Simulator on top 💪
Euro Truck Simulator - is build 2012 and today it was give more and more content and they work for old cities to make update. SCS make really so much in there Game, also with Multiplayer. That give a Thumbup from me.
Snowrunner
ETS2/ATS enthusiast. Looking forward to Truck World Australia which seems to take things further
@@mementomori8791 I think Australia will be very bad and boring imagine those train trucks they have there a very long trailers where they go only straight for hours..........and game is not out yet and already looks outdated with poor graphics
2022 but some recent games stuck with graphics from 2010. Only spin tires series awe awesome from graphics perspective.
I can only add a music connected to this theme (trucks and truckers life)to it, but suggest watching videoclip called "Truckers Delight" by Flairs
