If you don’t like peated whisky and Lagavulin is one of the light peated scotches and one of the best. So I’d recommend not drinking peated scotches. You have to start off with speyside scotch and learn them and work your way up to quality scotch whisky. Fruit and sweet scotch is not for the faint of heart some bourbon drinkers just don’t like scotch and that’s okay. I personally enjoy all spirits I’m lucky that way.
@umami0247 Yeah, I need to find another gateway into scotches to see if I really can enjoy them. I have a friend that transitioned a couple years ago, so maybe I'll ask his thoughts too. I did just kind of jump right into it without researching as much as I should!
