Creatinine is a metabolic waste material that is generated in our muscles, which is usually excreted by the kidney. But, in cases of Kidney failure, it starts to accumulate in the body. When the levels of creatinine starts increasing, it means other toxic material like urea is also accumulating. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, fatigue and changes in urination.
At Sai Sanjivani, we can manage levels of creatinine by increasing the output of kidney. When the output of kidney increases, the filteration also increases and the level of creatinine decreases in the body. In this video, i will explain you 7 ways that will help you to decrease the formation of creatinine in the body.
    1. Take low protein diet
If you have high creatinine values in your blood, it is highly recommended to take protein free diet. It has been observed that a kidney failure patient consuming high protein have high creatinine levels. When a person consumes lot of protein like chicken, mutton and fish, so what happens is that, these kind of proteins become hard to digest and body produces lots of acids. In cases of kidney failure, the kidney starts under performing and these acids cannot be excluded out through urine, resulting in accumulation of acid in the body causing acidosis and which aggravates the kidney failure.
    2. Low- potassium vegetables and fruits
People with kidney diseases need to manage the amount of potassium they consume because kidneys can no longer remove excess potassium in the blood. Best way to limit the amount of potassium is to make dietary changes.
    3. Take water in optimum amount
Water helps to excrete out waste from the body through kidney. If a person suffers from dehydration, kidneys are unable to flush out waste material from the body. To keep creatinine levels in check, optimum amount of hydration is necessary. If you are suffering from any kind of kidney condition, an optimum amount of water intake is allowed, so please ask your doctor before drinking excess amount of water.
    4. CEREALS TO EAT:
    - Bread
    - Upma
    - Sooji
    - Poha
    - Barley (Jau)
    - AVOID JAGGERY
    - AVOID ALL TYPES OF LOW POTASSIUM SALTS FOR BP
