I read some other valuable analyses that focus more on what Ajax did. Also how the coach, Ten Hag, explained it. Basically to counter Juve's pressing, they moved fullback Veltman higher on the pitch, to where the space was in Juve's plan; next they had midfielder Schöne move back a bit in the zone that Veltman left behind. That forced Juve and in particular Matuidi, into difficult choices. Also Juventus' pressing required so much energy, it would be impossible to maintain. Ajax kept composure, and grew and grew better in the game.

He ain’t having it lately
He still sometimes scores bangers for Ajax while being totally absent in other matches. For example, last Eredivisie match against Vitesse, everyone played well except for Dolberg, who also missed a clear 1 on 1 with minimal pressure from defenders. This inconsistency has led to him being the third Striker behind Tadic in CL and Huntelaar in the Eredivisie, giving him also less oppurtunities to redeem himself

I doff my hat to Tadic's agent. One minute he is getting relegated in England then the next he is in a UCL semi final!
Masterclass
He was always aware of Ajax, having played in The Netherlands before, he knew he wanted to move to CL and liked The Netherlands enough to return despite the relative smaller size of the competition. I guess he was hungry; and a more experienced player that could take the already present technique and tactical ability of the team to the next level, was what Ajax needed. I guess this is what a beautiful marriage can be.
Great as always. Juventus also fell apart when their stamina failed just after the half. They could barely press, and had no subs to go to. Costa was also out, giving a tired Bernardeschi no sub. There was no spark left at the end of the game, and Juve had to rely on Cancelo pressing forward to cross.
Ajax overloads in the pitch to confuse marking. That corner by Juve is beautiful execution.
Damn, bringing in Kean for Dybala was a match-turning mistake

When i saw Ajax game in Munchen in group stage i knew they're able to beat 80% of the oponents in 1/8 - i was sure before games with real and juve that they will beat them - but before the tottenham i wasnt sure at all even after first won game and halftime 2-0 in second game in amsterdam. I had a feeling that they will fuck it up. It was too easy in first half.

@D his approach is more physical rather than technical.. his tactics and player selection always favored physical player more than technical one. I will never forget when he favour putting van bommel in pirlo position when in Milan..
