The creamy chicken broth is an interesting and original concept - for me at least. I'd love to try all the versions one day. Especially the tantan men.

@@5AMRamen I reckon that in Japan the mentality is "don't bother other people (filming, for example)" in the ramen shops, but I particularly enjoyed the fact that we could see your reactions while eating! 😆

Frank, so glad you are back , I have been wondering when you would post another epic Ramen episode. Itadakimasu 🙏 . My favorite would be the Shio Paitan . The simplest form is best for me.

Unfortunately, these are not authentic Japanese flavored ramen you will find in Japan. These are ramen flavored for the Filipino taste

Frank, it was really interesting to see the paitan paired with chicken-centric "oyakomen" bowls. The tantanmen looked the most "different" and hence the most appealing to me. How much was each bowl? I've finally gotten my food coop to stock fresh ramen noodles from Sun Noodle and they have selling out fast with every order (so gratifying to be vindicated 🙂) Stay healthy, Frank, because we need a sleuth like you on the ground to bring us Ramen News!
Thanks for watching! The ramen at Marudori are about 430 to 490 Philippine Pesos (about 8 USD). The tantanmen was awesome. So nice you have Sun Noodles bringing the noodles there! It's nice to see Sun Noodles expanding too.

Stewed tomatoes are definitely an underutilized ingredient for certain bowls. I don't know if you ever went to Matador's second shop when they were a miso shop, but they used stewed tomatoes which added a nice acidic break from the thicker rich soup. I hope they bring it back.
For sure! I have been to Matadors second shop - they unfortunately closed it down BUT reopened and are serving different ramen there.
You should try lomi, mami and miki the best filipino ramen 😅
