@@5AMRamen I'm planning to travel to Japan next year. I'm super excited to do a Ramen tour! Edit: I'll have to add the Philippines to my travel destination as well after this video haha. Thanks so much for your videos!
I’m pleasantly surprised, i never knew you were half Filipino. Always enjoyed your YT and IG content. You are a big help in getting us educated with ramen, salamat!☺️
Frank, so glad you are back , I have been wondering when you would post another epic Ramen episode. Itadakimasu 🙏 . My favorite would be the Shio Paitan . The simplest form is best for me.
The creamy chicken broth is an interesting and original concept - for me at least. I'd love to try all the versions one day. Especially the tantan men. *This new format of the video worked really well, too.
@@5AMRamen I reckon that in Japan the mentality is "don't bother other people (filming, for example)" in the ramen shops, but I particularly enjoyed the fact that we could see your reactions while eating! 😆 Thank you! If you happen to find some chicken-centered ramen in Japan, let us know, please!
Frank!!! Wonderful seeing you back after what seems like forever!! The ramen looked pretty spectacular and I’m thinking I could go for the tantanmen bowl. I enjoy a kick that makes you pay attention lol. You’re looking well and I’m looking forward to more ramen adventures 😊🇨🇦
Thanks for waiting! It indeed had been forever... That tantanmen was special...busier than the other 2 but perhaps even more fun and tasty. Plan to have the videos going out more regularly again!
Frank, it was really interesting to see the paitan paired with chicken-centric "oyakomen" bowls. The tantanmen looked the most "different" and hence the most appealing to me. How much was each bowl? I've finally gotten my food coop to stock fresh ramen noodles from Sun Noodle and they have selling out fast with every order (so gratifying to be vindicated 🙂) Stay healthy, Frank, because we need a sleuth like you on the ground to bring us Ramen News!
Thanks for watching! The ramen at Marudori are about 430 to 490 Philippine Pesos (about 8 USD). The tantanmen was awesome. So nice you have Sun Noodles bringing the noodles there! It's nice to see Sun Noodles expanding too. Will be more ramen sleuthing videos to come! Finally can put up more videos.
💎✨👌 Looky you... branching out... expanding your horizons. That group is legendary bring 100% Authencity on the Ramen👑they make and serve in the Philippines!✨👍
Stewed tomatoes are definitely an underutilized ingredient for certain bowls. I don't know if you ever went to Matador's second shop when they were a miso shop, but they used stewed tomatoes which added a nice acidic break from the thicker rich soup. I hope they bring it back.
Which one of 3 ramen are you eyeing most?
I’ve tried their shio paitan twice already. I might go with the shoyu paitan next time.
Shio Paitan 😋
Love them all
@@anichristian7697 😋🙏
Shio Paitan. Other 2 look and sound excellent, too. Good to have you back.
Frank is back!
Yes indeed!
FRANK! we miss your ramen reviews, and your wonderful descriptions of the quality of each meal. Hope you and yours are doing well.
Right back at you! Hope everyone on your side is doing well. Thanks for waiting for so long!
Finally. Frank is back. We missed your very informative and entertaining videos
Thanks for for what was a long wait!

I am so happy to see you back. I would love to try the second bowl, that one looked interesting.
The chicken toppings were divine in that one. The mayu (garlic oil) took it to the next level too!
I was just there! I'll have to catch these on the way back.
Please do, worth swinging by. Enjoy your time in the PH!

Aloha, and thanks for watching and waiting so long!
Haven’t been in the Philippines in four years and I’m glad to see the ramen scene growing!! Cheers
It's grown a lot! I'm sure you'll feel the same when you're back.
it is indeed good. that bowl really ignited my craving for paitan everywhere. The chicken slices really shine.
Glad you feel the same way and it's great that they're responsible for what's become huge cravings for Paitan!
Wow ! This is so different
Chicken usage to the max!

Thanks for waiting! More videos to come again...finally. That shio paitan was extraordinary - good call. Simple is best.
@@5AMRamen 👍👍😂😂yes, more videos coming
They all looked good, but I gotta go Round 3 this time. So much delicious Filipino food and ramen! It's gonna be a lot of walking...👍
Round 3 was a banger! Fully utilizing that delicious soup alongside some welcome heat and acidity. Yes, plenty of walking after that session 😅
The creamy chicken broth is an interesting and original concept - for me at least. I'd love to try all the versions one day. Especially the tantan men.

Happy you like the new format! I think it's slicker. Those chicken -centered ramen are waiting for you if you make to it to Manila 🐔

For sure! I have been to Matadors second shop - they unfortunately closed it down BUT reopened and are serving different ramen there.
So you have eaten at every ramen place in Japan now?! Not surprised
