Thanks for going/rating Sushi Ichiban. We are showing up to El Cortez tomorrow for the week. Since its comped, we will be trying it. Keep up the great work.
This partnership between the El Cortez and restaurants in the area reminds me of the free standing restaurants in a lot of airports that participate in the Priority Pass Network. This was a great deal and is sadly going away since Amex, Chase and Capital One are no longer in the game. Still a few travel credit cards are subsiding us and that is why I still have my US Bank Altitude credit card. This place is on my list when I get enough comp $$ from El Cortez. .
Because of you, I have eaten out three times in the past week, which is crazy, since I normally eat out less than once a month. First was Golden Corral, and then a AYCE sushi place not far from my house. It was similar in price and also where you keep ordering until you are done. The hot foods were a "5," and the sushi was good but small. No nigiri sushi was included either. Then yesterday I went far out of my way to another AYCE sushi restaurant "Oishi Japanese Cuisine," about 40 miles away in Fredericksburg VA. $16.99 for lunch. It blew the other place away! Much bigger selection, and they had ramen which was pretty decent. Even as far away as it is, I am ready to go back, it was that good.
Nice places you have nearby where you live. Never been on the "East side" of Downtown. Looks like you are exploring your neighborhood really well. Soon, everyone will be saying "Hi" to you when you are out and about. How often did you go to this area when you were visiting from NYC?
Looks great! Is this the place that requires you to pay ala carte if you don't finish all that you ordered? There's a AYCE sushi place in LV that does that.
Please tell me the best Cantonese restaurant in Las Vegas/Henderson or anywhere in the valley. I grew up near NYC and my much older sister used to take me to a Cantonese restaurant called Port Arthurs back in the 50s. 99¢ and it included a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Now I live in Wisconsin for the past 53 years and no Cantonese restaurants here.
Yes, Yellowtail. I always stay at ElCortz when in Vegas, I will try Ichiban when I get there. I get 8 nights at MGM property, 3 nights at Orleans, and then on my own.
We love your video ❤ and Yes we love paper menu and Tap water ❤ and Sushi so Delicious 😋 and I love California Rolls ❤ and I don't eat No raw Sushi. What is Steve and Tung Favorite Sushi ❤❤ and Have a Amazing Day today ❤
Today's Life Lesson: Never be afraid to ask for what you want. Bonus Life Lesson: Don't give in to social pressure. You do you and love yourself for it.
Danny! Are you dieting? You sampled way more things at It's Sushi. I get that this is more convenient for you, but the decor and the food seemed not as nice for about the same money. (The picnic spoon is a no.) it did not look bad. Comps and convenience are nice.
I could watch u all day Danny!!--but do yourself a favor-- Waitresses besides bringing the food to you also have a tendency to pick up empty used plates dirty knifes/forks etc from other tables -- if u go back and take a look the waitress brings u the soup and places it down and her hands are on the rim of the bowl--ok kinda normal--my point is just use the spoon and try not to sip from the bowl--stay safe my fellow NYer!!
QR codes are a joke. Not everyone has a smart phone and even the people that have a smart phone, not everyone has the phone with them at all times. QR codes can also do malicious things as well, not that a restaurant would, but to make QR codes common places opens people up to make a big mistake and get their phone hacked or a tracker or some other malicious code running on it.
Japanese typically use chopsticks with miso soup & restaurants normally give u a soup spoon ( not disposable plastic) and you can slurp from the bowl too.
DTM you're doing AYCE sushi all wrong. You eat the expensive ones first and work your way down. Like uni, tuna belly, sweet raw shrimp, scallops, salmon, unagi and so on. Never start with California Rolls...I repeat never. If you ever lose on video poker, come here and recover your losses. Don't tell me that's all you ate? I've seen you eat more at lobster buffets.
You rock these Las Vegas food videos. Much appreciated sir.
Glad you like them!

Oh wow...i was drooling the entire video... excellent choice..will be putting this on my next trip...Thank you Danny
$34 in Vegas for all you can eat sushi is a good price for what you get. Looks good. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Glad you made it over there! It’s a solid place for ayce sushi. Never been disappointed.
Another great video! I'm gonna go there on my next trip since I'll stay downtown. Love the downtown videos!!
Thanks for sharing your meal video, food looked delicious.

Where is a good place to park? Mahalo for the great video
I live far away from the action that there is free street parking, and I can also park in casino lots
Now that you're living in downtown Vegas we get to see more vlogs about the downtown area, this is great!
I agree - I really miss more paper menus. It's sometimes inconvenient to scan codes. (I also miss my walkman lol).
recently discovered your videos and thoroughly enjoy them. question, are the appetizers included in the ayce price?
its the entire menu

I am trying to plan a trip to vegas late august early sept. it is too hot then but I need a break. Coming in December as well.
Looks great! Is this the place that requires you to pay ala carte if you don't finish all that you ordered? There's a AYCE sushi place in LV that does that.
i dont know
Where was this video when I had a ton of El Cortez comps? Did they take the coupons printed from the kiosk?
coupons from kiosk will specifically say where coupon goes
We put the pork belly, gyoza and tempura shrimp in our ramen or miso soup at the sushi restaurants! Sometimes a little ginger and seaweed salad too.

Hello Danny,
Are you still working as a traveling Medic?
answer coming soon in the shrimp cocktail video
Have to perhaps check it out next time in Vegas
the lunch is a little bit cheaper
First time I had sushi, I thought the wasabi was avocado, put a big old piece on my California roll. Damn near took the top of my head off.
Same thing happened to a friend of mine who thought it was avocado 🥑
I thought she was going to go blind.

Perfect intro if you know what I mean 😉
And yes you did order yellow tail

Enjoy!
The rice really looks good!
Looked pretty good. Next time get a few specialty rolls.
im not a fan of those made up crazy rolls.. Im more traditional
$35 AYCE Sushi is such a good deal. Ingredients look fresh and good quality. You’ll eat enough to get your money’s worth.😮
one day i will visit this place as god is my witness if its the last thing i ever do ill come here one day
Whooooooooooooaaa super Delish!!!!
They should have that normal menu on the table!!!! I agree
I would have gone for the happy ending roll for 14.95. I have not seen those prices since I was in Thailand back in the 90's. 😄

Whenever I can, I REFUSE to use my phone for a menu.
I don't like raw meat or fish but I'm watching anyway. I like smoked salmon. Thats it. lol
smoked salmon is really good!
🤙
Everything looked good except the Uni. That looked kind of sus.
🥢❤
hi
Danny this is the least ive ever seen you eat at an all you can eat sushi spot.
Honestly, it doesn't look that appealing. The price is great for Vegas prices but I can actually think of better ways to spend $35.
I cant stand all the touch screens invading the restaurant scene.
Hate to say it. There is no such thing as a miso soup spoon. Only for western or ABC. You sip from the bowl to your mouth.
AH HA.. like in Japan right? I heard about that.. with the loud slurping sounds to show how much u love it!
Japanese typically use chopsticks with miso soup & restaurants normally give u a soup spoon ( not disposable plastic) and you can slurp from the bowl too.
I hate QR codes.
Not "very" psychotic!😮

but I really enjoy california rolls
