Have to agree with your logic about Southpoint since they have so many food options that are loss leaders ( buffet and coffee shop especially ) that I won’t be looking for an AYCE sushi option
I would actually really love like a TOP 5 or whatever you think the list size would be for best AYCE Sushi/Korean/Buffets/Dim Sum/etc. You brought up that you had favorites and I am very curious as to what they all are.
It’s alive….lol 🤣. I wouldn’t have tried that raw octopus. Small soft shell crab looked good. Korean Fried Chicken…👍. Crawfish (lobster) rolls presented well. Hope you had an enjoyable time! Cheers Tap water 👍
I'd like the place.. I know you want more rice, but look at it this way, rice is filling.. this way you eat more fish lol. I've had stomach surgery and can't eat much rice so this place would be a delight for me.
More rice? Less rice? I prefer less rice because I am a diabetic and rice turns quickly to sugar. There's always sashimi, of course, with no rice at all.
Thanks for another good video DTM. I personally like sashimi very much. There are not too many buffets that offer quality sashimi. One that comes to mind is Imperial in Chinatown. So the small amount of rice on the sushi at this place would be as close as it comes to ordering all you can eat sashimi. Tako Wasabi is also one of my favorite appetizers! I have eaten at Zensheng at The South Point several times. The food there was pretty good but I do agree that it can get expensive. The next time I stay at South Point I will give Top Sushi And Oyster a try. 🎉
Danny - that fish-to-rice ratio is my dream! (Also, eating it with your hands is perfectly acceptable sushi etiquette.) And I don't understand what the oyster issue is - it seems like the only way to transport oysters from sea to restaurant is whole, closed oysters on ice. I've been to "nice" oyster restaurants that shuck them on an assembly line and they sit on the half-shell on ice until they're ordered. Finally, "real" takoyaki would burn your mouth when you try to eat it, no matter how long you wait - maybe that's why they cut it in half.
i commented on your other video about the nigiri. the problem we're having is alot of the ayce sushi place here are korean owned, you can tell by the menu as well as the nigiri. If you haven't tried the place yet try "On Demand Sushi". Is it the best? no. but their portions sizes of their nigiri is good and they get their fish from Hawaii.
Can you RECOMMEND... I do not recommend. My videos are for entertainment purposes only, and I say it like it is. If you see something you like you can go try it but the way I myself find restaurants is that I use Google Maps and look at restaurants in the area I am headed to... there are ratings available on Google Maps and I like to eat at places with high ratings (4 star and more) and a large amount of reviews. Best of Luck!
danny, i recently (by accident) figured out that in selfy mode, on my ipad,, i can pinch the screen, like swipe 2 fingers inward, and it zooms out to show more of me and the table, etc. try that on your phone but it ONLY works in selfy mode, for both pics and video. i had no idea. try it on yours.
For the price I think the food is average but interesting..One thing we experienced is buffet at Southpoint casino is horrible...but love cheap blackjack tables & Poker club...Funny watching your gestures...
that is so strange that you get such little rice! The lowest part of their food cost and yet they hold back on it. Some of those fish chunks are so large compared to the sushi rice that you might as well just get a bowl of poke with no rice hiding underneath or something else like that.
I’ve never eaten sushi in my life. I’m terrified to try it because it’s raw. I have a thing about textures & smells while I eat & something about raw seafood makes me squirm!😆…But the cooked items you had looked good! I’d definitely try those😊
Sushi is not all raw seafood. This is a misconception. There's a variety of vegetable sushi, now some innovative chefs are creating sushi fruits. Also, eating seafood sushi is healthier.
I think that poor waitress just decided she hated oysters 😂

Looks like I finally found a AYCE sushi place that doesn’t put a big glob of sushi rice under a thin slice of sushi…thx DTM😊
Mix the soy sauce with the wasabi 👍it will give you a different taste
at 7:15 - when im in that situation, of short straw to longer glass, i ask for extra ice, load it up and it holds the straw up. 😊
It’s alive….lol 🤣. I wouldn’t have tried that raw octopus. Small soft shell crab looked good. Korean Fried Chicken…👍. Crawfish (lobster) rolls presented well. Hope you had an enjoyable time! Cheers Tap water 👍
I agree. I don’t like a lot of rice, but that was ridiculous 😂
Two of the servers could not answer your question about the oysters, obviously instructed to deflect an honest answer.
Would have figured server would know all about Oysters as it is the name of the restaurant. Enjoyed video and value of meal..
Funny guy…I fell for it😂😂😂
DtM, good info in this vid. The food looked great. Thanks for sharing... Now let's have dim sum. Karla in Cali.
I usually go to Sushi Neko on Spring Mountain (near Decatur). Have you been there yet?
not yet...
Nice punch line Dennys🤙🏽🌴👍🏽🍍🌺🏝️🥥
This place always run out of uni sushi
Alyssa! You are so pretty!
Smh
I could just imagine the owner yelling at his chefs "put more rice in the sushi, are you guys trying to bankrupt me, HAIYA!"
I've eaten at the Denny's next door a few times. Can't eat any kind of raw fish. Keep up the great work Danny!

Nice review! Teriyaki beef at Korean places are almost always bugolgi. I wish they would just call it bugolgi. The food did look good.
I'd like the place.. I know you want more rice, but look at it this way, rice is filling.. this way you eat more fish lol. I've had stomach surgery and can't eat much rice so this place would be a delight for me.
They're fresh, but not alive. Old and dead, but fresh 😅😂

Danny, Really like your reviews and it was nice running in to you at Paris last week.
I absolutely love watching your reviews of Vegas Food. As a local I appreciate your input.
Agree with you, DtM. Just call it sashimi. Gotta have a bit more rice for nigiri-style sushi. It's all about balance.
North Korean oysters, yum yum..
Looking at the nigeri makes me think they don’t know that rice is cheap and fills you up. It is just odd nigeri.

Aquafina makes orange drinks?
I despise fake crab.
Are you fresh from China? Lol😂

Can you RECOMMEND...

@@dannythemedic thank you Danny
Another one of my recommendations/requests! (Although I went to a different location)
Review suggestion Danny: The Bootlegger Bistro. Old school Vegas restaurant with excellent Italian food on Vegas Blvd.
thnaks for suggestion dtm5
Its like there's a rice shortage there 😂
If you get on a jet would you not arrive alive? Tap water.
the small rice is so funny 🍣 very healthy for diabetics
Where is the better sushi place in the strip Danny?
yama?

Have you been to the M? I’m Headed there in April. Maybe you can do a review.
i dropped in the M with steve yesterday, i didnt like how it is so dark and the slots displays are so bright, it was glaring into my eyes
Which Sushi place will you go?
I never eat anything raw except veggies. COOK the meat and fish! yuck
that is so strange that you get such little rice!

How odd a waitress who doesn't like oysters would work at a restaurant with "Oyster" in the name. lol. But it looked like a great value overall.
First again.
When you eat at local casino restaurants, you expect to pay more but most people get comp from the casino.
You are having one lucky trip, a royal, tiny amounts of rice at an ayce.
Are the buses back to normal?
i think no
you hit a royal flush for $1k on poker slot. you should splurge!
You’re scaring your server about the oysters…she doesn’t know Danny 😂
As a guy who cannot do Raw, I can only live vicariously through DTM!
One of my favorite spots. They have great hamachi Kama and hamachi nigiri
My vote is chicken feet over oysters. You won't get sick or to the toilet.LOL
Didn't look all that bad for the price.
That was a really lot of food. How did you ever eat it all.
14:17 pro tip: you can order a half size order
Umi and tap water “sake”, yum
Love your channel. Keep up good work
TUNG would never eat there
Please check out heart attack grill
Thanks for sharing the video...
Lol the green items.😅
Order the fried rice.
large portions
🤷♂️🙌👍

@@daijo492 …Yes, I know that. I’m aware not all sushi is raw seafood…But the raw seafood part is what I was referring to specifically…
the food looks good
How many hrs to get to South Point with bus?
hour something
