I'm watching this on the toilet bowl and I just dropped a minor third followed by a major third, I think I'm picking this up pretty fast ... thanks man
Funny😄
You cant do that thats illegal
The fact my first time watching this I’m on the toilet cracks me up.
Idk why on the toilet I decided that I wanted to watch reharm tutorials
Pooooo wash your hands! So glad I’m not touching your stinky piano
Absolute mind blowing, thank you.
The net effect is you're playing in the relative minor key. Another way to put it is that you're transposed it down to its relative minor. Helps me visualize better than counting down 3 all the time.
So transpose down to relative minor and add a 7 chord at the top. also, if you want to be really fancy, add a sus on the borrowed chord to resolve to c again. (but it may give a more Bach style feel to it oh well!)
Yes that’s how I see it ,,,, transposed down to A minor the relative minor of C major
I think for someone who is more of a beginner (ex. me) it also helps because if I just started in the minor key then I might not have used the same voicing. Now when I try this I’ll also be adding voicings and voice leading to my repertoire.
Wow..awesome.. I just had alot of insights with your videos.
Thank you my friend! Beautiful! 🎶👏
Very nice lesson, I like your singing along spontaneously. Question: Is that piano sound processed/ EQ-ed, or does it come out like that from your (Roland?) piano? It sounds quite mellow and nice...
thank you! a very usefull and practic lesson
Loved it ❤️
Isn't this so amazing... RIGHT???
Best, thanks
Dang....this really helped me out a lot. 👏🏽🥺
Thank you so much.
Just powerful
Next level man - you're it.
In this video your using the notes in the chords to use as passing notes. Can you make a video to show how you did this?
Nice video! Prachtige achternaam ook trouwens ;)
Do you mean relative, rather than parallel?
What software are you using that shows the keyboard and which notes and chords you're playing?
This is very simple method.Plz how to change normal chords to improve jazz chords on any song
It’s really easy because is the minor relative mayor
Sounds like opening of forever young by alphaville
I like your singing too
Wow wow wow, thanks for your essential lesson. Pure awesomeness !!!!!!! 💥🎼💥🎼💥🎼💥🎼💥🎼💥🎼💥🎼💥🎼💥🎼
reharmonize or reharmonise? (You use two forms)

Another cool way to resolve from the iim7 to I (in this case dmin7 to cmaj) is to flatten the fifth of the iim7, resulting in iim7b5 (which would be D F Gb B) which resolves to I.
Can sound a bit cheesy but I think it sounds really warm.
You flattened the 7th too....so that would just be a D diminished 7th.
@@yuufeternal5837 wouldnt be dim7. Would be half-diminished or m7b5.
Also can do a 2-5-1; Dm7b5-G7(b9)-Cmaj7(#11)
What is name of the keyboard that show notes you play?
Chordieapp
That's a neat program that labels immediately what you play. What is the name of it?
André Reiter I assume it's "Chordies". Indeed very nice but not free. I find it very useful from a learning POV.
Why Am have to go to F instead F# can someone explain it to me?
Nathaniel Alvin staying in the original key centre. You could use F#... try it out... For some pop songs if you stray much from the key, it may sound quirky with the melody. So the answer is, keep it simple, stupid... When you’ve got staying in key, then consider implying other tonalities.
Because in C major there’s only an F natural, no F sharp. He’s saying you always move down a natural third. So whatever is in the scale is what you would use. If you threw in some tritone substitutions you could end up with notes outside the key and they’d work harmonically as long as they fit with the rest of the arrangement.
what program are you using which instantly shows chords?
Chordie

that sounds like Fly me to the moon lolzzz
The Least Music common chord progression.
Are you an English native speaker?
Best explanation. Thanks from pacific ocean.
I understand the first part but everything else was too fast I guess😂😅
first
Dude sound like Borat.
Have you been smoking weed?
John Doe huuuh???
Wrong when you play a G Maj triad with the third in Bass it’s simply an Inversion spelled G/B and not Emin ...
Same notes as Em7
But still with the minor third as the bass, because the notes are
E as the minor third bass, E-G-B-D
D is the seventh of Em that's why it's identified as Em7
And with the E as the bass, it's inarguably an Em7
Gave up after 1 minute 40 seconds of you failing to make your first point. EDIT your videos dude! Jesus!!!
