Imagine Žižek casually strolling through the square in Ljubljana and seeing his impersonator along with the massive group of dancers singing and rehearsing his joke.
I've seen him many times walking in Šiška and Metelkova, he takes regular walks trough Ljubljana, so it is possible for him to be there. He's a very humble and down to earth guy in real life. Also very confused and funny. I think he has OCD.
***** As a Marxist, I like reading Zizek and I find him thought provoking (even and sometimes especially when I don't agree with him), but he is definitely not simply putting Marxist theory into an understandable form (I don't think it's that difficult to begin with, it just takes some time and effort), as his writings often run counter to key Marxist theorems. He just doesn't get political economy, e.g. some of the stuff he said about Marx in "Living in the End Times" is simply nonsense. But, hey, it made me pick up Capital again just to contradict him. Most of his theory is based on Hegel and Lacan, and, esp. in his earlier writings, Laclau. A lot of his writings is about applying Lacan to political theory. Actually, I think where his ability to render complex theories comprehensible really shines is when he's explaining Hegel and Lacan.
***** You realize his "defense" of Stalin is just ironic? If you watch a documentary about Zizek (I forgot which one, but you can watch the interview between Slavoj Zizek, Julian Assange and David Horowitz), he says there that he has a picture of Stalin at home, precisely to remind him of the danger of taking power. The danger of becoming somebody like Stalin whom he detests. I don't know what he thinks about Mao, I know his friend Badiou likes Mao (though I think the Mao and the Maoism popular in France is an imaginary Mao, but no matter…), and I know he quotes him then and when. But I also know he thinks Mao is not a philosopher, but merely somebody who has peasant's cunning ("Bauernschläue"), and he thinks both the Stalinite model of "doing socialism with the state" and the Maoist model of "doing it without the state" failed. If you like Stalin, you have every reason to detest Zizek.
Actually he is against cultural marxism. He jokes on it. But the truth is that people are stupid and will repeat the song coz they like sound and it will be in their subconscious mind. There it can influence their behaviour
If anyone is offended and thinks that this is anything other than a humorous tribute, remember that Zizek actually told the "cut the balls" joke and really said pretty much everything else in this video.
As a woman who has been abused, his joke helped me feel validated as a person and he doesn't tolerate the intolerable and the ones who make excuses for them.
I saw Žižek at the Oxford Union a couple of weeks ago and this has absolutely got him dead-on. Especially the thing about telling a perverted joke - he clearly likes that kind of thing
As a fan of Zizek, I'm obsessssed with this song. Besides absolutely nailing his little physical quirks, the way he escalates every little thing into the end of the world ("doing nothing is the most violent thing to do!"). Love it.
Enver Hoxha I think it can be both (or none - depending on perspective). One can have less linear opinion on something, than simply to hate and ridicule it, or love and affirm it. I would really like to know though, what the authors think about Slavoj Žížek and his work.

4 days I read and watch Slavoj Zizek... I like him very much. And all started from Klemen's parody of Putin. )) Thanks mr.Slakonja! You also very smart! ) Big respect from Russia.
I didn't appreciate this video untill i watched some films of Slavoi Zizek. All these twitches, accent, declaring style and the whole perverted subject of his statements. You did a really good job , BIG THUMBS UP FROM ME !!
Holy fuck, I've been reading his works for ages but only today I decided to search if someone made music with Zizek's lectures. I'm not disappointed at all.
Would the real Slavoj Zizek, as a negative dialectic gesture illustrating the obscene nature of the subject as an excessive remainder outside of the symbolic order and economy of signs, please not stand up...
I love how it ends by him actually having stood there alone all along and talking to himself like a lunatic amidst random passers-by being like "Ah yes, Žižek žižking around" XD
I’m convinced that the Internet is actively censoring Zizek. Why are people not talking about him now like they did from 10 years ago. He is more relevant than ever
This is the greatest song I have ever heard. It is even better than "What Does The Fox Say", "Chinese Food" or Rebecca Blacks masterpiece "Friday".Keep up the good work.

Welcome back Klemen, I miss your creative genius!
The impression is so on point one could seriously think it is actually Zizek here!
Imagine Žižek casually strolling through the square in Ljubljana and seeing his impersonator along with the massive group of dancers singing and rehearsing his joke.
I'd be surprised if he had enough stamina to even get to tromostovje in the first place
Adam B Pure ideology.
I will make sure you get a double serving of cabbage soup on sundays in gulag.
Adam B Thank u sir, that's nice from you. -sniff-
I've seen him many times walking in Šiška and Metelkova, he takes regular walks trough Ljubljana, so it is possible for him to be there.
He's a very humble and down to earth guy in real life. Also very confused and funny. I think he has OCD.
This has been on youtube 5 years and only now I find it in my recommendations? Sad.
I'm gonna listen to this a thousand times!

Yo igual jaja

2021... Ditto
This is insanely good for people who know Zizek! I have repetitively watched and highly respect the people who created this.
this totally made my day! it wouldn't be the same without the "and so on, and so on"
loved it

Actually he is against cultural marxism. He jokes on it. But the truth is that people are stupid and will repeat the song coz they like sound and it will be in their subconscious mind. There it can influence their behaviour
This man should be promoted to the person of national interest of Slovenia.
jel moze covek da ode negde a da ne vidi da si zabo zastavicu tamo pre tri godine :D
A marxist?
Žižek or Slakonja?
For me, Slovenia it's Zizek and Laibach
If anyone is offended and thinks that this is anything other than a humorous tribute, remember that Zizek actually told the "cut the balls" joke and really said pretty much everything else in this video.
Don't take it seriously...
Just cut the balls
It a powerful and deep (and disgusting) joke
As a woman who has been abused, his joke helped me feel validated as a person and he doesn't tolerate the intolerable and the ones who make excuses for them.
I saw Žižek at the Oxford Union a couple of weeks ago and this has absolutely got him dead-on. Especially the thing about telling a perverted joke - he clearly likes that kind of thing

Absolutly fantastic that someone can perfectly parody a philosopher like Žižek.
Hardly a parody.
Like Sympozium said, the video is not about mocking, but to affirm!
Lets cut the balls.
L marfim No, it's definitely a parody not an affirmation.
Enver Hoxha I think it can be both (or none - depending on perspective). One can have less linear opinion on something, than simply to hate and ridicule it, or love and affirm it.
I would really like to know though, what the authors think about Slavoj Žížek and his work.
Enver Hoxha
Slavoj Zizek would say that affirmation works through parody ;)
lol, i want to see a video of Slavoj Žižek reacting to this XD

+HEY ZEUS DESTROYEROFWORLDS (bob) Yes please show this to Zizek!!
+HEY ZEUS DESTROYEROFWORLDS (bob) he really should its pure mythopoesis

no it's the same guy but he's really convincing
Amazing Zizek impersonation!!!! Spot on with the look, the language, and even the ticks! The whole music video has such high production value too.
How can this only have 2 million views? Isn't there anyone else than me watching it?
This is fucking perfect. The voice, the accent, the phrases "so on and so on", the music, the point of the "speech"... Bravo for this.

Slavoj Zizek isnt a person, he is C O L L E C T I V E .

DEFINITELY ONE OF THE SMARTEST MUSIC EVER MADE.
this is now officialy my favorite vido of all time
This is the greatest music, dance, poetry, ideology and everything EVER.
Whoever says otherwise is lying.
Slavoj Zizek didn't like it surprisingly

because he is so relevant that people miss him, he isn't as outlandish anymore
Nine years later and here I am back at it again. The balls haven't been cut yet.
The most fameos slovenian on youtube is Slavoj Zizek and second is Klemen Slakonja imitating him.
This is excellent, and so on and so on !
This will never get old
Not enough this is a perfect impersonification of Žižek, it is also a very catchy music.
This deserves more views!
At least 1 milion views...

This is one of the better celebrity impressions I've seen in a while.
še vedno ena najboljših pesmi, kar sem jih poslušal.
Great. Just great!
As someone who binge watches zizek lectures, this is a perfect parody. It even gets the little things he says spot on.
And so on and on! Just perfect in every aspect...and there are many in there.
"eet ees the obshenity of the geshtures, I cannot do eet, no, really, my got!"
He does his voice so well
great zong and so on
Song made me start watching his videos and I really like the guy.
Ej to pa je vrhunec, :))) vsa čast, majkemi. :) Neverjetno, koliko karakterjev premore Klemen improvizirat. Bravo.
I love that while making a funny, silly music video he actually does make some really good observations and good arguments if you think about it
Hail also to the editors of the video. Final scene with Zizek as a deserted outcast explaining his joke to monkeys - splendid image.
My gott. Pure ideology!

(I'm laughing in Spanish in order to become a much more radical Kung Fu Panda)

Dve najbolje *stvari” koje dolaze iz Slovenije - Slavoj Žižek i Klemen Slakonja.
Preklet Komunist
Žižek and "najbolje"? You confused something 😂
Among my favorite songs to dance to.
The "disgusting guy from Canada" part aged like fine wine.
I wonder what the message of this satirical song could be. Maybe the final "verses" could elucidate on this:
_The problem is maybe not the big act "Cut the balls", but you make small changes and all of a sudden, balls are no longer there. Those in power look down and say "Oh, where are my balls?" and suddenly their voices get higher and so on and so on and so on. I stand by my joke. The structure of the joke is that this so called progressive intelectual_ [sic] _, in order to score his small narcicistic point, oh, I dusted the balls, totally ignores the suffering there and that's the whole point of the joke. So cut the balls, we need to cut the balls!_
In any case, it's a well-made song. Regardless of its intentions, it'll get people googling Žižek, which may introduce them into philosophy, and that's fine by me.
In Slovene Slavoj Žižek is more a political figure/caricature than a philosophical prophet in his own country ...
This spoof may be viewed as evidence.
Back in the day Zlavoj ran for office ( goo.gl/thK8lL ). This is what people remember. No one in Slovene reads the books he writes in English ... What stuck are his tics.
***** wow you... WONDER? wow just... wow.
Žižek found a way to marry serious philosophical thought to entertaining style and birth everything in English - offering it to a much broader and also more sophisticated audience than the balcans.
***** what do you mean far more popular than his thought warrants. You can synthesize hegel, lacan, and marx better? Not easy stuff.

I have huge respect for professor Zizek.
