Hey Tim, awesome review! Quick question: would the EF mount work on the Komodo X with the Canon EF>RF 0.71x adapter? You've mentioned on the Speedbooster the element touches the glass of the adapter. Trying to figure out whether it's just a Metabones issue of if it would be for any adapter? Thanks!
It does fit on EF. I was referring to the speedbooster which has a glass element that prevents this particular lens from working. It’s pretty common for this to happen
When you say “calibrate” them, do you mean the back focus adjustment ring was adjusted, or do you mean the lens was shimmed, as well? I had a set for a couple of weeks and discovered that the softness I was experiencing was due to the lens needing to be shimmed, as the back focus ring did not have enough adjustment and this was definitely not obvious during tests. Made a HUGE difference. The lens went from being very soft to being absolutely acceptably sharp. I was impressed.
Great review! Love the DZO Vespids, so I know these have quality behind them.
Thanks! Definitely good build quality

Great question! I’m not sure to be honest since I haven’t used that set up exactly, but my adapter is the Metabones XL 0.64x
Whoa whoa wait! Why doest EF mount fit on EF? It should be like that. Have you asked them?

Whats the font you used for your signature in the beginning of the video?
I believe it’s called Gloriant
It seems like you didnt calibrate the back focus. Thats why theyre soft
Yes I did calibrate them. They’re just super soft.

@@morganestill i meant both
@@isaacbedford3644 Copy that. Good to know. Thanks for the info. I wonder if QC, or simply a difference in cameras could account for that.
Come on, man! Just talk, to many jump cuts! It is really off putting. You don't need to cut every 15 seconds. But thanks for the review and posting.
Thanks for the positive feedback 🙏
